- p0010 this car had a high idle, kind of wonky brakes sometimes. he changed the cam sensor and the code came back about a week later. I found this when i took it apart with the intake c-vvt.
Ebay seller where i got the oem part: www.ebay.com/s...
My 2015 sonata had the same error code. i tried all possible solutions, including the one in this video, eventually i got it fixed. The issue was the cover with the sensor. The installation is a bit tricky but I got a mechanic that got it all right. The fix costs $520. But it was worth checking to be sure every other part was ok.
Awesome video thank you very much. Been battling this issue for two months now replace the sensor replace the cap check engine light would keep coming on would reset. The engine light would run fine for two weeks and then come back on and run like garbage your video and more and depth than any other video I found.
Good video . I just removed the sensor to look at actuator and sure enough the tone rings were bad along with the sensor ty very helpful
Thanks for the video.
Straight and to the point.
What is the part number for the phaser?
It's on the box I showed but if it's been updated the dealer will find the best one
Good stuff, thank you
when replacing that Camphaser, Is it suppose to sit any kinda of way on the cam?
great video thank you so much
I replaced the cap & have oil leaking out the center seal. A full on pressurized stream of oil, not just a seap. Any ideas?
Did you change center seal? It must not be seated properly
@@HooptiesGarage I’m an idiot & replaced the wrong seal 😅 I replaced the seal that went in the cap not the vvt so now I gotta wait on a seal. Guess I didn’t watch the video thoroughly enough haha
Man the dealers now days are totally out of control. Hopefully this will change when they're not making money.
I have a car I have issues with. I'm in Oakville. How close are you to Oakville?
I'm basically in Oakville
@@HooptiesGarage well damn. I need the info. I would like to talk about fixing my mess.
How much you charged for labor
It's not cheap you have to remove the timing chain I don't remember off the top of my head
