  • This video portrays the plight of Moira grass on the floodplains of the Murray River. Moira grass is a rare grassland maintained by flooding and drying. With River regulation and grazing by feral herbivores, this ecosystem is in decline. The Living Murray Program, which supports water management in the iconic wetlands of the river system, is monitoring this situation and looking at ways to improve the life cycle of Moira grass and many other wetlands species on the floodplain.
