I disagree. Siding with the bully is a terrible idea. He would take over the party for his own benefit. Not only that, he would be willing to sacrifice/kill members without any second thought. He is crazy and you should try to kill him rather than befriend him.
Su-Hyeok has the most insane plot armor ever. The dude literally volunteers himself for almost every dangerous job, fights off the zombies in hand to hand combat, and doesn’t even get a scratch until Gwi Nam shows up. And even he couldn’t completely kill him.
I had a friend like him who saved me from bullies in junior high school all alone , he was tall, thin and athletic and was one of the fastest boys just like su-hyeok so my friend and this character (park solomon) are really close to my heart 🥺
the zombie hand to hand combat literally made me scream at the screen all the time.. he should've grab a stick (which could be find everywhere) at least rather than shoving his hands and fighting zombies lol
One very realistic thing that my best friend once told me: ''Man, are you crazy? Zombie apocalypse irl? If someone knew there's an infected in our city the other countries will send nukes and delete our whole country to avoid it!'' - and I agreed with him.
Nah they won't do anything until it gets to the point where whatever we do won't change anything. People don't care about problems that doesn't personally affect them and by the time it does it is already too late.
@@Samrtfirdeg That’s exactly why they will nuke us, everyone has watched zombie movies. They wouldn’t risk it spreading and in NO CASE to let someone infected leave on a plane for other countries trying to escape! That’s exactly why they will nuke us!

@@unifiedhorizons2663 oh hell naw. I would literally fly out the damn country if that happened. This is why I actually didint get angry when the captain bombed his city. He was doing the right thing because he didint want the virus to spread all over Korea.
I think fear triggers how fast you turn. Like the girls friend turned faster after everyone figured out she was bit. And the guys friend turned after he was being forced to leave the room. Or there are plot holes because the students transformed at different rates.
Its adrenaline. When she got agitated and anxious the blood started pumping faster so the infection spread out to the other body parts faster. Its also how some of the students turned so fast because the zombies target the carotid artery which is a major artery and speeds up the infection as well.
The scientist guy told the same thing about fear and urge to survive or anger. Like the anger in the girl who was abused by the bully had so much anger and urge to change things that she triggered mutation and became a new breed. Same goes for the bully (angry with protagonist), president (urge to protect her crush), etc. the logic is weird but that's what they established the story. The thing that irritates me is that the why did the teacher sacrifice herself for the kid that thought proving herself b4 others life. Basically she was a risk to group's safety.
@@Wreckers_B I thought it was about anger too but then I thought about how the boy who initially got it was very angry at his bullies but he never ended up controlling it. With regards to the bullied girl, I thought it had to do with fear because when she got off the roof, she cared more about the getting the phone and wasn’t scared of the zombies or anything else. And the bully guy wasn’t scared of anything except getting his revenge on Cheong San, and Namra wasn’t scared because she was focused on saving Soohyuk and didn’t care what happened, she wasn’t angry. I think it could be a mix of the fear and the anger.
In this case, emotions are more then anything. If someone sees someone they loved infected, they won’t hesitate to cry, scream, and lose control of themselves. That’s why they would have needed to stay calm at all times, or else it could cause someone to be lost.
I disagree with bringing the bully into the group and giving up the other kid; he was tying up the principal and then killed him when he tried to escape, then chased another kid throughout the entire school just because he filmed it happening. His immunity to the virus is extremely valuable, but his obvious psychotic frame of mind is inherently dangerous to the group.
Not gonna lie, this is one of the few times I see people actually handle the zombies somewhat more realistically. The zombies don't just grab people and bite them, they charge and knock the person down in order to bite them. So pushing them back here using blunt objects, though difficult and not always neutralizes the threat, is treated as an option, one I don't really see often. It's also one of the few times I see the police and military actually handle things fairly realistically, with police lines holding, and military weapons not being ineffective.
@@calecount2181 I mean... It's like 9 or so kids with wooden blocks they're using as shields to fend off 14 or so infected which are also their former classmates while in a fairly tight hallway. It's not the craziest thing as we later see a police line manage the same against adult zombies so it's not like the zombies have "superhuman" strength, just the crazy strength anyone in an adrenaline high.
@@calecount2181 The zombies don't possess super human strength. Did you watch the show? The zombies are only hungry and they can run fast. But still, not all of them run fast. For example, Cheong San's mother is quite slow. The zombies respond to sound but they don't have heightened senses like the hambies (half zombies) like Namra or Gwinam.
The central issue with siding with gwi-nam is that he's far too unpredictable and quick to anger. While he's ability to move freely would be a great assistance to the group his instability would actually make him more of a threat than a help. Cheongsan is more reliable and in multiple instances proved to be a vital asset to the group. He took leadership and incentive repeatedly throughout the shows run time, therefore in this instance I believe the group made the correct decision in not handing him over. Another notable thing to mention would be that the group for a great deal of the show didn't have the knowledge that gwi-nam was incapable of dying and therefore was a larger threat.
@@eea7551 the real fucking Poot hole i see in all this. Is WHY DID THEY NOT GET BITTEN BY THE CLASS PRESIDENT. LITERALLY SHE WAS ENHANCED AND WAS INMUNE TO EVERYTHING AROUND HER.
@@Chirobs_art They wanted to keep their humanity. Plus Gwi-nam has turned others into regular zombies. Namra was the only person who became “immune”. There is no guarantee that they would become a half breed. It’ll be a risky & stupid choice.
true but i guarantee we would all do the same. were angry of him because we already knew whats lurking behind the door, its just the same thing like when we scream at horror movie characters checking something.
something really dumb was the fact that they didn't grab their lunches from their backpacks before climbing down that hose. I'm surprised none of them collapsed from lack of food during the show. I also don't understand why Namra, who could clearly hear the pink cardigan girl in the food supply room, didn't tell the group and try to convince her to share some with them.
Well, there's always the rule of threes in survival: 3 weeks without food. 3 days without water. 3 hours without shelter. 3 minutes without oxygen. But honestly, still won't deny the stupidity in not bringing valuable resources with you when the benefits of bringing them completely outweigh the disadvantages.
She didn't know there were supplements in there and thought there were zombies inside, it was the first time she used the powers, she couldn't trust 100%
The thing that broke me and no one seems to talk about is that poor little girl that lost her mother. She sees her own mother become a zombie, fears the detective is kidnapping her, experiences soldiers shooting her in the bus, then the producer decided that in the quarantine they will put her in a cell alone while the stupid RUclipsr is in the same room as the cop. As she's being escorted to her lonely cell the thunderstorm starts and they make a scene showing her face crying being scared of the lightning. Literally spends 2 days alone crying for her mom and then at the end you don't see her anymore? I got pissed they should've shower her reunite with a family member or at least the cop but the scene of her crying during the 2nd night is the last we see of her. I hated she didn't get a happier ending.
I think it's great to see that the military handled the situation and protected the camp unlike literally every other zombie movie/series where the world's greatest armies crumble in a couple days.
@@omeganeozprobably not. Throwing a nuclear bomb into the middle of a high population area is just not a good idea. If it were real, the army could easily stop the zombies, like seriously, 50 cal machine guns destroy limbs with ease. Get tanks which normal zombies have absolutely no way to pry open, to set up a border/checkpoint. There Is absolutely no need to go nuclear.
@dino They did manage to stop the outbreak even if the first forces sent (the police) all god fucked over. But the Military LEARNED fast which they would have in other zombie movies to. They had martial law, fire power and a whole bunch of scientist put on research.
Now we also have to be honest. On the swimming scene it would depend on how deep it was. If it’s shallow of course they could swim/walk swim. But if it’s deep and after a period of time the zombies are most likely to collapse since they can’t really control movements and muscle strength.
To be fair, siding with the bully is a suicide. He is narcisistic, psychopat, willing to kill just for disagreement, he would put them all in danger if not killed them on the first ocasion he has.
@@arichalevas2298 he quite literally feed every other survivors he met at the kitchen to zombies for his own safety. And that's before he was infected too. The moment he sees that sacrificing you would benefit him, he would do just that.
They could've used Nam-ra to scout for resources like food and water or even things to defend themselves with. And I don't understand why she didn't tell the group that someone was in the closet in the room.
16:43 I have to disagree with this statement that she's "willing to do what it takes to survive" because with this scene as well as previous scenes where she's yelling and standing around, doing nothing but bringing zombies to the group and risking infection, all that it showed was that pink cardigan was willing to do anything petty and even dangerous as long as she could retain her status, which no longer matters, and would rather endanger others if it meant that she kept face. That's what I saw, at least. Her actions were unnecessary and costed them a person who could've been useful for fighting or scavenging, something she didn't even attempt to do herself until her very last scene.
Yeah, if anything, she was stupid and obsessed with "status" to the point of being both homicidal and suicidal while not adding *anything* to the group. She is literally all liability and zero plusses who'd only look out for themselves at best, the worst kind of person to have on a team.
Iam not siding with the sassy girl but i dunno brah she seems to be pretty stressed to me. Also the prioritizing to maintain an one status thing it was pretty normal on Korea. Asking sorry their was an great disgrace afterall than what you practice on the west.

I feel like if I was in his position, I would LITERALLY do everything he did in the movie because he has a personality very similar to mine in the movie. I wouldn't have sacrificed myself at the tennis court tho.
Yeah he was a cool dude I was kind of upset the narrator said he was infected as an act of revenge, that's half right the truth was much worst Na-Yu hated him for being poor and that's a huge reason she infected him.
I disagree about keeping the bully alive. From the start he acted like a psychopath. With him in the group; no one would be safe. The only thing he was good for was his immunity. Yet it was quite clear that he wasn't going to use his immunity for anyone but himself.
The bully actually isn’t immune. He’s the first case where the virus hid itself in the cell’s RNA to be less obvious. He survived a 4-story fall, being whacked over the head a dozen times, a stab to the liver, and has unnatural strength from the virus. He’s the first case where the virus rode along rather than took over. His hunger for human flesh is evidence of him being affected by the disease.
@@paytonyoder1260 It seems that, even with the infection lessening damage done to the body, Gwi-nam can only live for so long. Everytime he "comes back" he is in significantly worse shape than the last, the infection keeping his body moving when he shouldn't even be able to anymore. (Like his bones being very clearly broken, but the infection jolts his body forward anyway.)
@@tomemeornottomeme1864 of course. I don’t think he’s technically “living” anyways after he gets infected. But the disease is clearly affecting his body. I mean he breaks his wrist punching the roof door and by the next day it’s already repaired and useable. He’s definitely not immune to the disease. Although I believe that if he went around biting people that the virus could potentially evolve further to co-exist with the host and reach an equilibrium.
The half zombie girl failed them throughout the school scenes. She could have snapped that bully's neck or tried to help fight him. I also didn't understand why no one went for the head?
The zombies in this show felt invincible due to the scarcity of firearms. And even when there were firearms they were still overwhelmed due to the sheer number.
Almost any disaster that has to do with enemies would have more trouble in america. I think its like 50% of households have guns. "Just remembering some random factoid, no idea if that number is true." If anything happened most threats would have to deal with an ungodly amount of weaponry. However contrary to popular belief, I doubt americans are united. We would probably all backstab and betray eachother to save our own skins.
While I believe in some countries it is far far harder to get almost any guns. Let alone the shotguns, semi automatics. fully automatics. pistols and hand grenades us americans are addicted to.
The mosquitoes is a good addition, but the infected animal from the start is a white mouse which is very similar to humans in brain structure, hence them being the primary subjects to experimentation. This allows us to determine that mosquitoes could not be inffected if the zombie pathogen is based in brain parasytes. But this doesn't discard the idea they could carry the virus.
16:43 I would have to disagree with that. She may be cold blooded, which is a great trait in these situations, *however,* she literally infected someone locked inside the same room as her. Making someone turn purposely, when she has nowhere to escape to, is just suicide, and the dumbest thing you could possibly do. Even if she’s that cold blooded, such stupidity would surely get her killed, so I definitely wouldn’t say she had what it takes
I thought this too, like, the kid murdered a teacher in cold blood, and that's just the one we saw. Befriending a psychopathic murderer would never be in my list of things to do no matter the circumstances.
If the class president was immune, I don’t get why (after she discovered she was immune to the zombies) she didn’t just walk out and drag the zombies away with her super strength and lock the zombies up to clear a pathway for her friends, or set up barriers first for her friends because the zombies won’t eat her anyways.
I was thinking why didn't she bit the ones who were infected (the ones still human but are slowly turning) just to give them that slight chance of evolution
Something that really bothered me was Nam-Ra (the president) was soooo under utilized when she turned. Shes the only one in the group who has the ability to roam around free and she never took the initiative to be the first one to go check the hallways or even as far as to distract the zombies so everyone can get out specially the gym scene im soooo frustrated that shes ALWAYS ON THE LAST LINE holding hands with Su Hyeok when shes far stronger than him and can definitely defend herself. I know its for plot purposes but this is just outright dumb. Also i did think and Gwi-Nam and Nam-Ra are immune theyre basically carrierd as the virus coexists in their bodies.
She didn't know the zombies wouldn't try to eat her though, none of them knew. Gwi-Nam and the bullied girl only realized it because zombies were all around them when they turned. As far as she knows, every time the zombies chase after the group, they are going for her as well.
No, the whole squad knew that she was innocent and that she was not a zombie (or a bad one) she was the like second most help to the team because she was the one who heard the zombies ever since GWi-nam even bit her and the first, reason why su-hyeok was holding her hand is because she needed someone to bite and su-hyeok was willing or offering for her to him bite and second, at the end or at ep 12 she said “I’m not human nor I am a zombie” (proudly) and she knew that there was more half zombie half human out there third, she actually was a big help to the team too because I think it was ep 11 or 12 wu-Jin was about to bite ha-ri (the archery girl or wu-Jins sister I think) and nam-ra helped ha-ri but I get what you are trying to say su-hyeok had to hold her hand but that was only to prevent her from sh (self harming) herself
Im pretty sure Namra wasnt immune to zombies like Gwinam for some reason. Zombies go after her in a lot of scenes. I think somehow she was stopping the virus from fully infecting her because if you were paying attention you can see that she only has powers when her eye freaks out which isnt all the time.
The real question is if this girl gained superpowers from getting bitten by the bully, why the heck did no one else even suggest that she bite all of them for free superpowers? Sure they might end up losing their humanity but they'd still be alive... I am especially surprised that this isn't mentioned in the video
@@runtergerutscht4401 Not how that works. Everyone else who was bitten by the Gwi-Nam and the bullied girl turned into normal zombies. Nam-Ra was just lucky that's all, it's got nothing to do with who bit her. Also, they wouldn't just lose their humanity or whatever, the military would never let someone like Namra live. If she had followed the rest of the group to the army blockade, they'd have just killed her.

He's a hazard even if the survivors somehow had him on their team.
Escaping to the river is a good way to avoid the zombies, but considering that all it takes is to be infected is being internally exposed to the virus, the rain showers will have washed excess blood from the infected's in the town and into the sewage systems where they'll eventually end up in the river. Since animals can also become infected, fish will breathe the contaminated water, zombify then attack whatever moves.
ik, i thought about that to when i saw the scene. like- CLEARLY the zombies can infect fish, crocs, and more sea animals. they will immideatly, if i spelt that right, go for the kids. so i definetly dont recommend going in the lake.
Zombie content never added in the possibility of aquatic beings, at least not many people have tried making such content. having fish to be zombies would be so terrifying.
The dad's death made me so mad when I saw it. They made us wait almost the entire season, watching her dad overcome so many things in order to get to his daughter, and hes clearly skilled, but then he just ends up dying like only 5 minutes after finally reuniting with her? Also, you can see that the tennis court door opens towards the court, so instead of closing it while inside he couldve just easily run through and closed it behind him, because the zombies would just be pushing against the door, and since it doesnt open that way they wouldve just not been able to escape the tennis court anyways.

That death pissed me off so much, the emotional impact of it was totally destroyed by how stupid and anticlimactic it was. That and the lil cliffhanger at the very end are the only problems I had with the show, but that second one is just me prolly
I forgot to mention he couldve grabbed the backpack and then run off with them instead he went to use the whistle the zombies were still distracted when he said “cheong san take onjo with you” and then he went to get the whistle the escape was near him

Love it
"This girl just proved she has what it takes to survive." I've gotta hard disagree on that one, bud. That girl literally infected someone for her ego. That's even more emotional than trying to protect the infected. She's literally MAKING the infected because of her emotions, and that's gonna put a lot of people at risk. They were right to send her out, she couldn't be trusted if she's willing to do something that severe for something so petty. Being able to kill the infected when the time comes is good, but this isn't the same thing. I also disagree on the front about the bully. You said it'd be wise to give up the guy who pissed him off in order to make use of his skills, but given how unhinged and power-hungry he is, it's very unlikely he would be willing to help. If he takes the apocalypse as a chance to claim power and kill others indiscriminately, then you're best off trying to kill him so that you're not the next one on his list. He's too unhinged to be a resource.
True. There is a difference between "makinga hard choice" and "killing your own team mate because of stupid ego". She was a psycho and i would never ever want that kind of person in my group, liability to all. At worst she would be the only survivor because she killed/sacrificed everyone else.
@@THATGUY-yf5rp If anything, killing the dude proved to be more of a detriment than a benefit. She did what she did not because it benefited her survival, but because it stroked her ego and her fragile mindset. If there was one thing I hated about this whole situation, it's that one of the students willingly infected another just to be proven right, and is deserving of being fed to the horde, as cruel as it was. But it is also a grim reminder that actions have consequences, and the damage has a ripple effect. If you want to survive in a group, you don't sacrifice your allies unless they are in a situation where there is no option. But when you're a kid and fighting for survival...impulses tend to be stronger than rationales
I think this was quite realistic. Some people just have to be right no matter what and an apocalyptic event doesn't just automatically make everyone friends.
I see where you're coming from, but I don't think she infected the guy to protect her ego. I think it was to protect her reputation. If everyone thought she was wrong after she accused the boy of being infected, in the (life or death) future, the group would be less likely to trust her, which is incredibly bad for her. If she managed to get away with her plan (which she almost did), then people would have proof that she can be trusted, which is really good for her, even if it was a selfish move.
They watched films about zombies, cheong san mention about train to busan and others kept saying if it is in the film there must be this n that.. it's a cool idea to add those to make it seem more realistic as a student
It kinda sucked that Nam-ra can hear Na-yeon in the storage room but never mentions it (Would have been convenient.) Also, they never took advantage of her to scout or search for resources as she can blend with zombies like Gwi-nam. Also, there's a reason this was focused on the students because if be it as adults, safer choices could have been made. Therefore, teenage students are the way to go because of their choices and emotions to create this plot and story. Great series and review. Peace!

About the strategy of swimming across the river: There's actually a scene where we can see the zombies swimming (In one of the later episodes, where the group escapes under the cover of rain). I don't know how deep that water was but it's proof that swimming might not be a viable option.

Spoilers; I heard that in the comic, because of the river it traveled to Japan and is turning into a worldwide disease. I believe that's what's going to happen in season 2.
This was a "how to survive", but it turned into a play by play of the series relatively quickly. Some things I would have included for how to survive would be to use the cage barricade to position the zombies for spear attacks. They could have easily dealt with the gymnasium zombies, and the tennis court zombies, had they simply had and used makeshift spears. The one girl did have a spear, but downright refused to use it properly, swinging it like a bat most of the time, or sticking zombies in non essential places like shoulders and chest areas. Spears are for sure in the top 3 close quarters weapons to use against zombies. Many of their deaths could have easily been prevented with the use of spears. Plenty of mops and brooms with which they could have made spears out of.

Spears are the ultimate melee weapon. They don't need a great amount skill to use effectively, and a thrust is very powerful even with the most rudimentary of spears. A thrust is also much more energy-efficient, and deals about as much damage as a swing for less stamina. It's ideal for close quarters, since it won't get snagged as you'll be stabbing and not swinging with it, and it's not that heavy. It can keep a zombie at bay without putting yourself in harm's way, and you can easily form a formation with it, each man protecting the other in a spear wall. Grab the closest broom you can find and use it as a spear. Even if it's a blunt edge, it'll at least slow them down.
@@rosesweetcharlotte bruh these are high schoolers they easily could’ve prevented many deaths by just killing zombies or infected people on sight now that I think about it I don’t remember any of the characters straight up killing a zombie or infected person like i literally face palmed every time they tried telling an infected person to leave like bruh there’s like 10 of yah and one regular person like they could’ve bashed the coaches head in with chairs if they all joined in
When they created a circle barricade in the gymnasium and Joong-Yeong got bitten, instead of pulling the zombies out of the barricade, he can run away from it and shout to create a noise that would lure the zombies. That would be more effective that pulling them one by one.
Counter-point to that: Everyone was shouting and making noise due to the physical exertion of moving the barricade and fending off the zombies. There was no guarantee his shouts would have distracted enough of them, and he knew he was on very limited time. He decided to go for the most direct solution to pull off and physically distract as many as he could.
Time for a theory. My idea on how the "Inconsistent infection rate" works may merely depend on how close to the brain the bite is. For example how the 20-30 second infection occured to someone bit directly on the neck, And the teacher/secretly infected friend had a significantly longer time before it took hold.
I think that's close to what Roanoke gaming theorized lol idk if you know him but he has a microbiology degree and does reviews of movies like this and trys to come up with probable theories. Pretty cool. ps. Its almost always rabies for zombies or shingles and ebola for most others virus movies.
@@Justarandomuser869 I’m pretty sure the girl who got bit by the hamster got nervous and scared when the teacher immediately came and when she told him she got bit, his reaction was something out of the ordinary. Don’t forget the fact that he immediately handcuffed her making her scared so that contributed, whereas with the others, they weren’t scared. They were fuelled by revenge and with Nam Ra, she was comforted to the point where her fear dissipated. Also as said by the teacher, the gene that was used with infection was from a mouse. He developed the gene that make mice afraid of cats to turn into a survival one. Making mice instead of running away from cats, makes them “braver” and confront the cat instead. That’s literally what’s happening with the students. They’re afraid that they got bit to the point where they’ll beg anyone to survive, just like the man teacher for that instance. He didn’t immediately turn when he didn’t know that he got bit, instead he turned when the students pointed out that he was, and they were trying to banish him out of the room. The reason the virus was created was to literally transform fear into survival instincts.
That point is so dumb. The bully was a fricking murderer , that guy cant be reasonable . Even if he gave him the phone he couldve still attacked him . The only reason that bully was an enemy is because for some plot reason he's immune.
@@pandagirl9109 in that case then your point is irrelevant bc if it’s a zombie outbreak and who cares then the bully shouldn’t care about the phone because no one’s gonna see it or care. the bully was dumb for fighting over the phone during times like this
basically if you see something weird (like a messed up looking person running/ lunging at you or an animal that's been purposefully hidden), just turn around and leave... in an event of a zombie apocalypse, small groups are better than larger ones since it's more manageable and huge plus if the members are physically fit. The group with the archer proves that fact since they only started losing members when they joined the larger group. Having a large group would not only increase the chances of clashes/ mistrust especially if there's a loudmouth/manipulative person among the members, not to mention the need for more resources
That is why black people say they would survive a zombie apocalypse because once they see someone running, they running too. Not stand there like an idiot being nosy as fuck. Onjo was saved twice by cheongsan. She was being stupid and in shock for more than 2 minutes. As for the first girl that got bit by the hamster. Did her parents never tell her to not let animals because they can bite you or have rabies? My dad once scold me for trying to pet a cat that was in the street saying the cat can have a disease or something. My mom always warned me about not touching anything that you do not know. As for the big group vs small group. I think it just depends on the circumstances and the type of people you are with. Because the small group needed help with the guy who was injured. Or they would not be able to make it. Also having people who are seriously injured can slow you down.
The two who died from the archer's group would die regardless, one died because he got separated, the other one sacrificed himself to save a girl who was already in his group
28:58 i admire this guy, though what you said about the roof being a bad idea, he is living proof that someone can survive there, though for a time also he got out of the zombie school unharmed
do not we all do? like, maybe not fully fleshed out plans but at least as much as we can consider which even for the averega not that paranoid as me man would be like... what? 3 steps at least? where to move, know where are the exits and do not stay too close to other trying to always have some type of defend wall close by with still enough free space. For example in a supermarket, school, even at streets. Maybe it is just weird habit but i do these, got as you say at least 2 plans and 6 back up ones fro different situations.
i love how we've become total experts in a fictional physics-defying disease and ensuing apocalypse. also super props to the choreographers of this film in making such good fight sequences and zombie crawling movements.
This is a very unexpected situation. And a human's very first instinct, is to run, hide, or attack. Most of the situations. No one would make up thoughtful rules in a time like this, even when no one has a clue about what's going on. And siding with the bully? That Gwi-Nam is a heartless kid and would even sacrifice his colleages just so he can survive.
I agree. Gwi-Nam was far too unreliable and selfish for the group to allow him in. Giving up somebody in the group to somebody for no reason other than appeasing such a terrible person (for a little bit of short term utility) also sets a terrible precedent for the future by destroying trust and unity.
His colleague literally bullied him and wanted him to sacrifice himself to save his own skin...but yeah, act like he betrayed someone instead of taking revenge against his abuser x.x

I was agreeing with you up to the point where you start saying use the bully to help you. It’s already clear this bully would be perfectly fine to kill all of them. Why would he adventure out collect food and water for them. He already has a God complex now he doesn’t have to worry about the zombies. I would’ve killed him collecting his blood. Then I would go to a lab and found out why he was immune. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about him double crossing me and getting me killed while I’m asleep.
What pissed me off is that after Nam ra gets bitten by Gwinam she isn’t very useful in the group besides the few moments where she is strong and can fight. When you spoke about siding with the bully, all of the things he can do Nam ra can and she is an actual ally unlike Gwinam who is unpredictable and violent and only cares about himself. Nam ra could have done a lot more for the group and quite a few people’s deaths could have been avoided.
Yeah but they never figured out that regular zombies don't try to eat hambies. Gwi-Nam and the girl who was bullied only realized the zombies no longer cared about them because zombies were all around them when they turned. As far as Nam-Ra knows, when the zombies were chasing after the group they were going for her as well. She has no reason to think that they won't attack her.
That's cuz as we clearly saw in the show that unlike gwi-nam nam-ra wasn't able to control her powers she was losing control every now on then so i think if they made her fight too much or made her do things she might've lost even more control
For ‘I-sak’, she didn’t seem to transform until on jo was taken away. Only then she fully transforms. The way she charges to on jo slightly looks like someone running to their friend or family after a long time. Seeing hambies/ half zombies, she could’ve turned into one.
@@aardwolf6668 And they are just mutated, not immune. they can still turn full zombie, wich is seen several times. The Jonas virus is pretty much a super Rabies virus. And it cancels out the flight in the fight or flight response (The father especially made it this way for his son, he was a mutation too, but when failed, and fell off the roof, he turned full zombie too).
at least one thing i know, is that there is no one that is "immune" in this series. It even explains it somewhat. if you get bitten you either, turns inte a zombie basically if you are scared. based on that the teacher that made it based it on some hormone in mice or something like that. because some mice attacked instead of fleeing. so if you are one of those that just not get scared, and follow along those lines. you get to be yourself basically, but if you flee, and are scared and such you become a zombie. so in these cases the ones that survived are the ones that don´t want to be bitten as such, but if they get bitten. it´s not such a big deal. but having that kind of mentality is rare. so i believe that suicidal people would not likely die, but instead be a super human ironically. Like when the bully got swarmed and bitten and such, from what i remember, he seemed most focused on getting them of, and wanting revenge more then he seemed scared. like get of me i must kill him. class president got bit, by someone she believed was a "regular" human. was even willing to sacrify herself. because she did not have anyone to care for and such so. the one who fought against the bully in the end seemed to have been the same, he did not fear for his life. it was more important to stop the bully..
Makes sense, I thought she was infected but her transformation was slow so other zombies see her as a zombie, and I hate how the bully was immune (only because I don’t like the character not because of anything else), I also thought it was stupid the military tried to attack an outnumber amount of zombies that it was a suicide mission, but hey I guess they will be the ones surviving. Since these zombies are dumb they can easily kill them and restore society, and on top of that those zombies that are normal can be a sort of super soldier or be used to find a cure but then the other animals can get infected... guess humanity just gotta become suicidal
Yeah exactly, if dying means nothing to you and ain't scared of it, you neither become a zombie or human. You become more like the will that you exhibit when you were human but it becomes amplified by the virus like the way the science teacher explained it.
Actually its the will to live that makes them not turn into zombies. Thats what the science teacher explained. The bully and the suicidal girl had a strong urge to live in the moment that they were bitten because they were driven by revenge and pride.
I see interesting. The creator of the virus said it only attacks out of fear. So of you dont fear you wont attack. Also people who has a rare disorder who cant feel fear will be immune to this virus as well.
This takes me back to the selfish guy from Train to Busan (same universe) where he began transforming as soon as he found our he was bit, and he rapidly showed symptoms once grieving, and then turned on the father
Couple things - Jeong sung knows that the bully is sadistic from the encounter w the principal. One could argue nothing would stop him from doing something and they have no back up if bargaining fails - students didn’t know that it started with the animal. - Also, you have to assume zombies don’t breathe based on blood physiology and normal clumping in most movies as well as ability to take chest penetration damage w/o issue
@@idkanymore3307 yeah, I just think it made zero logic that the RUclipsr got to be with the cop and she was all alone. Logically the cop would ask about the girl and if she could be with them but seemed like he didn't care after that.
@@dot2382 that Gwinam is far worse than this Gwinam tbf and he also has absolutely no use since he isn't a hambie. That and he actually indiscriminately kills, unlike this Gwinam who has been shown multiple times to at least not want to kill people (Minjae, making it clear that he only wanted Cheongsan) so not really a valid comparison.
I like a lot of their ideas and they seem to be really plausible. But COME ON! you can't just run through hallways filled with zambs like some deranged running back! That phone run scene was literally the most unbelievably impossible feat of plot armor I've ever seen in a movie
It's a series not a movie. Also they mentioned Train to Busan in this movie, confirming that this is a reality where they should be aware of zombie weaknesses.
In a zombie apocalypse I would tell my schoolmates that we should plan things out first, like how to escape. And secondly I would assign who our priorities are like the smartest students, the most trustworthy and assign them with someone strong enough to protect them both.❤
Absolutely loved screaming at this series. As a self proclaimed zombie aficionado, I had to jump on the show as soon as it premiered. I understand about wanting to survive but siding with Nayeon and Gwinam would be the worst decision. They only care about themselves and WILL kill you when they feel you are no longer worth their time. The students should have spent more time getting weapons, body armor and supplies but a lot of the issues have more to do with societal issues then them being idiots (though I did call them that a lot). A better example of high schools students vs zombies would be the anime High School of The Dead.
High School of the Dead is pretty unrealistic. Those kids only survive because one of them just happens to be a gun nut and have access to guns no kid in Japan is going to realistically have. Plus the random samurai chick
Honestly I thought Na-yeon could've been a great character had she had more Screentime, sadly that got cut short Funny enough, the only characters I actually insulted for being actually brainless were the bully and that kid on the roof who randomly decided to let everyone die just as they reach the door, hated that kid

Nam-Ra's ability to not be sensed by the infected should have been used more. Rather than making an elaborate trap inside of the gym closet to POSSIBLY get to the door, they should have just sent Nam-Ra into the gym with a bat so she can kill all the zombies and make the gym safe.
She didn't know about that until she had grabbed the barricade in the gym and yet never told anyone which is kinda useless. I totally agree with u, I got so mad when she could have saved so many people but chose not too.
Yeah, but she's NOT immune of getting ripped apart by the zombies once they know..... And that part did not happen in the book. Zombies could still smell the half-bie's.
@@Some_Guy6 they weren't hambies in the webtoon, but just immunes with no superpowers or anything. Hambies were created for the drama. And hambies not being seen by zombies wasn't a plot device with how blatantly it was shown. The zombies straight up dont seem able to sense hambies.
Nam-ra is so pretty, I love how loyal she is to her friends. Nam-ra becomes hungry bc she’s a Hambie (Half zombie and half human, has feelings like humans but cravings like zombies) but instead of biting her friends she bit herself. There’s a part where her cravings got too strong for her to handle she started to eat zombies. I would really like to have her as a friend. (And would love to be a hambie in a zombie outbreak lol)

@@gaysonorthotdaughta please don’t compare this show to The walking dead franchise on realism. Please watch the first half of FTW, Beyond The walking dead, and maybe even 1-4 seasons of TWD before saying it doesn’t fit realism and at a good storyline of survival. The basic issue with these analyses is that they focus on immediate, short-term plans, rather than playing a longer game. Na-yeon's actions don't prove she has "what it takes to survive". It proves she's an idiot who willingly killed a smart, brave guy who could be an asset to the group rather than admit her mistake. She was a threat and definitely not someone you'd want in a tightly-knit group. Rather, they should not have let her in alone with the poor Gyeong-su. If that were unavoidable, then I would have forced her to go on suicide missions to make up for her crimes. If she dies, too bad. If she makes it, everybody would have gained something from it. Same with Gwi-nam; handing over Cheong-san would have been a mistake as the bully is unreliable and would realistically not keep his word or even attack them for shits and giggles. Dude is a psychopath who knows no honour nor humanity. What they should have done was to use Cheong-san as bait and trapping and then killing Gwi-nam when he moved in for the kill.
She also put the group and herself in mortal danger; she wanted to be right and hated him. She infected him and had no guarantee that by infecting him they would be able to take on a zombie in their room. Plus, if she's willing to infect one person and put the group at risk, who isn't she willing to betray? Kicking her out was the right thing to do to keep the group safe
That's what I was thinking. My mom told about this part and it's even more crazy that Na-yeon was partially motivated by the fact that she was rich and Gyeong-su was poor. The idea that Na-yeon was a benefit to survival because she's a psychopath is ridiculous. She'd put everyone on the chopping block if she thought they were a challenge to her preconceived notion of status. Even a short term plan to befriend her is dumb. She doesn't value survival. Hers, yours or the groups. She'd continue to crack until she assassinated someone else, and all while not showing a single skill that would be even remotely beneficial to survival. Keeping her in the group is about as safe as keeping a zombie in the group.
idk when Namra realized zombies don't wanna bite her. But I hoped she realized it sooner when they were at the gymnasium so she don't have to stay inside the barricade with the fear of getting bitten and instead go expose herself and kill the zombies one by one.

I actually really didn't like it very much. The zombies were a catalyst for a coming of age story and it's pretty meh. But what annoyed me most is that they know what zombies are but they don't go for head attacks only for chest attacks it's really stupid. Plus the one girl was complaining about needing more arrows and having to go to the archery center when she just never collected her arrows from dead zombies. It was infuriating, another thing was in the gym when they had the circled wagons kind of deal and all they had to do was stab the zombies TWD style through the holes in the cage thing they used.
Bringing up the bully into the group is useful but is EXTREMELY risky. The bully has killed the principal and threatens to gauge out Cheong san's eye. You can make some sort of deal like giving him the option to gauge out his eye if he goes in our group. Or you can somehow befriend him and he might help you. If we can both have Gwi-Nam and Nam-Ra , Gwi-Nam can search for supplies while Nam-Ra tells us when zombies or something is here or not. If we befriend him and become besties , he might be our partner and think twice before killing the entire group at once. Another reason is that we would have 2 half-bies with super strength and sensitive hearing. We would have 10x more survival rate with Gwi-Nam and Nam-Ra if we have befriended him enough and convinced him to not kill any of us. (YES HE CAN MURDER US ALL BUT READ THE WHOLE THING , IF WE BEFRIEND HIM ENOUGH , HE MIGHT JUST NOT MURDER US AT ALL) (He can literally murder us all BUT READ THE WHOLE THING , We might just be besties and he wont even think about murdering ALL of us)
They didnt need the bully our group had the zombie girl that also had super strength she coulda defeated the bully zombie dude but for some reason she just watched him bite cheong san.
And Gwinam, the bully, wouldn't even think twice before eating them if he is hungry. Saving Cheong san was a wise decision coz he was brave enough to take lead and do his maximum to help the frndz
Technically the bully is still infected but he has the consciousness and the thought process of a normal human but with all the added benefits of being a zombie
Basically he and gam ru have the abilities of a zombie but can still have their mind and intelligence intact. Only con is their need to feed but if they can learn to control it they can make a new breed of super humans/zombies.
I completely disagree, befriending the bully just wouldn’t work. He already killed one of his former bully “friends” and obviously had a god complex after being bitten by the zombies.
I can't believe no one has thought of mosquitoes being potential carriers before... O.o But to be perfectly honest, if mosquitoes ever became carriers in a zombie virus outbreak, we'd be all fucked.
The Zombie Survival Guide actually takes mosquitoes into consideration, but the author chose to say that they were repulsed by the virus, making them not a really bigger threat than as of right now, though the lack of medical supplies could be a big deal in cases of bad diseases
Technically yeah I don’t think mosquitoes would go after zombies because aren’t they meant to be dead ? I don’t mosquitoes think mosquitoes go after corpses but that is a really interesting idea !!
I’d use the drones to lead them off the roof top or put one of the burners on it and use the canisters of gas to lit the zombies on fire. I can also use the drones to lead them to one place, maybe fill it with oil, gas or anything flammable.
We could use the speakers on the wall and put the gas and burners underneath. And use then put music on that speaker and then use the drones to lead the rest of the zombies to the speaker. Then we could have the class president throw a burner to lit them on fire.

@@hazeygrace8122 ohhhhh. That makes sense.
@@Wreckers_B That’s too true. When I watched that scene, my first thought was to grab her and throw her out the window.
This is why jedi control their emotions and try to stick away from attachment

That's what makes All of Us Are Dead different from other zombie shows or movies. It deserves more positive reviews. People on IMDB are tasteless.

A hoard of zombies with super human strength.
@@calecount2181 I mean... It's like 9 or so kids with wooden blocks they're using as shields to fend off 14 or so infected which are also their former classmates while in a fairly tight hallway. @@calecount2181 The zombies don't possess super human strength. Did you watch the show? The zombies are only hungry and they can run fast. But still, not all of them run fast. @@HeySay3 yeah i did watch the show and webtoon
Another notable thing to mention would be that the group for a great deal of the show didn't have the knowledge that gwi-nam was incapable of dying and therefore was a larger threat.

something really dumb was the fact that they didn't grab their lunches from their backpacks before climbing down that hose. I'm surprised none of them collapsed from lack of food during the show. I also don't understand why Namra, who could clearly hear the pink cardigan girl in the food supply room, didn't tell the group and try to convince her to share some with them.
She probably thought there were zombies in there
Well, there's always the rule of threes in survival:
3 weeks without food.

Adrenaline is a hell of a drug
The thing that broke me and no one seems to talk about is that poor little girl that lost her mother. She sees her own mother become a zombie, fears the detective is kidnapping her, experiences soldiers shooting her in the bus, then the producer decided that in the quarantine they will put her in a cell alone while the stupid RUclipsr is in the same room as the cop. Now we also have to be honest. On the swimming scene it would depend on how deep it was. If it’s shallow of course they could swim/walk swim. But if it’s deep and after a period of time the zombies are most likely to collapse since they can’t really control movements and muscle strength.

@@paytonyoder1260 It seems that, even with the infection lessening damage done to the body, Gwi-nam can only live for so long. this would play out differently in america
I live in America not partially true, it’s in the numbers a bit closer to 60%, but like out of that 60% 90% of them oh and at least two or more guns.
Yes unlikely ae well.

Escaping to the river is a good way to avoid the zombies, but considering that all it takes is to be infected is being internally exposed to the virus, the rain showers will have washed excess blood from the infected's in the town and into the sewage systems where they'll eventually end up in the river. If he takes the apocalypse as a chance to claim power and kill others indiscriminately, then you're best off trying to kill him so that you're not the next one on his list. He's too unhinged to be a resource.
You're totally right about Nayeon, they let her stay in the webtoon the series is based on and she does more damage
True. There is a difference between "makinga hard choice" and "killing your own team mate because of stupid ego". She was a psycho and i would never ever want that kind of person in my group, liability to all. At worst she would be the only survivor because she killed/sacrificed everyone else.
@@alaric_ but isn't that the point of surviving, staying alive. What good are a bunch of friends if you die. If you can kill them to survive why not 🤷
@@THATGUY-yf5rp She didnt need to kill him tho listen to yourself
@@THATGUY-yf5rp If anything, killing the dude proved to be more of a detriment than a benefit. She did what she did not because it benefited her survival, but because it stroked her ego and her fragile mindset. If he posed a risk to the group, it would make sense, but he had done nothing but make sure they all stay alive.

They are still kids and these zombies are a lot more quick than the ones we see in The Walking Dead.
@@rosesweetcharlotte They looks like the zombies in the last of us, but they are less dangerous compared to them I'd say
His videos pretty much are just play by play summaries with a gimmick of giving survivability advice. They're entertaining and do have some cool/useful facts that come from his research but at the end of the day he's just a media commentary youtuber who's really good at playing towards his niche.

What if they threw all the balls at once when they opened the door? All those bouncing would have been much noise to confuse the zombies.
Time for a theory. My idea on how the "Inconsistent infection rate" works may merely depend on how close to the brain the bite is. For example how the 20-30 second infection occured to someone bit directly on the neck, And the teacher/secretly infected friend had a significantly longer time before it took hold.

He didn’t immediately turn when he didn’t know that he got bit, instead he turned when the students pointed out that he was, and they were trying to banish him out of the room.

in an event of a zombie apocalypse, small groups are better than larger ones since it's more manageable and huge plus if the members are physically fit.

She has no reason to think that they won't attack her.

at least one thing i know, is that there is no one that is "immune" in this series.
Couple things
- Jeong sung knows that the bully is sadistic from the encounter w the principal. One could argue nothing would stop him from doing something and they have no back up if bargaining fails
- students didn’t know that it started with the animal.
- Also, you have to assume zombies don’t breathe based on blood physiology and normal clumping in most movies as well as ability to take chest penetration damage w/o issue
The thing that broke me and no one seems to talk about is that poor little girl that lost her mother.

Funny enough, the only characters I actually insulted for being actually brainless were the bully and that kid on the roof who randomly decided to let everyone die just as they reach the door, hated that kid
@@PixelHeroViish im going to read the webtoon and see if there's any difference between it and the show. And yes, the guy on the roof got on my nerves but he ended up with a big dose of karma.

@@Some_Guy6 but they didnt even touch the bully when he was making noises
@@ZorothesIayer plot device
(And would love to be a hambie in a zombie outbreak lol)
while i do not like the zombie genre in general, i liked that this series seemed rather realistic with the students calling help using their devices and the officials and military handling the situation
true. i was never a big fan of zombie genres either like twd. (train to busan, black summer, and all of us are dead are great exceptions though)
im glad zombie pop fiction is taking a turn for realism and better storyline. i honestly loved every character and their development in aouad, and i really hope they make more seasons.
@@gaysonorthotdaughta please don’t compare this show to The walking dead franchise on realism. Please watch the first half of FTW, Beyond The walking dead, and maybe even 1-4 seasons of TWD before saying it doesn’t fit realism and at a good storyline of survival. They literally touch on technology and the military as well as Philadelphia’s and other location propaganda military forces that have electricity on the aftermath. If you don’t know the lore or story don’t talk about it period sis.
The only thing that might seem out of touch is maybe the horse scene in the first 1-2 episode?? Maybe I don’t know.
This Kdrama doesn’t suck, but it’s overusing the “half zombie half human” boring trope… but literally in this one they have supernatural powers 😂😂 lol realism.
Plus when the bully gets thrown off for the zombies how the fuck is he still intact?? The Zombies would be gawing at them with their teeth and he would be torn apart, but when he comes back as half zombie his jacket still looks clean with like a few splotches???
Plus the father scene is what made me loose my air from laughter.
But then I realize it’s Kdrama. I don’t hate the show. I enjoyed watching it, but man I’ve never laughed harder with my fellow friends and cracking jokes. performances were nice and still watchable. This show got too much plot armor tho 😀
I’m just a 16 year old girl who loves the zombie genre and grew up with it, so I watch literally everything related to it. it’s probably different for you, but I’m glad you can watch this show and enjoy it… just don’t bring realism in to the mix.. I’d kinda classify this as Sci fi horror like RE movies because of the supernatural strength.
@@somebodyontheinternet39im not going to watch something i strongly dislike, nonetheless make an entire paragraph on what i like about the show and their characters.
fyi, i never talked about twd’s plot or mentioned it at all. reread what i said until you understand it.
i put it in the “zombie” pop culture genre, since it’s a big and long running series. a lot of people wouldn’t know or relate to what’d i be talking about if i exampled a smaller show/movie.
i honestly give zero fucks about twd and their fanbase, and i don’t need false (and very odd) criticism about it from a morbidly obese twd fangirl. hope this clears up your confusion ❤️
@@somebodyontheinternet39when did they compare this to twd’s plot?? even if they did this show is MUCH better than twd. AOUAD didn’t milk the zombie topic as much as twd did for years
all of the shows the first replier listed were valid for zombie pop culture and were pretty good shows and movies. but twd? nah, way out of line with their so-called “entertainment”. the characters were so dry and forgettable, the gore was awful, and u expect them to watch any of those episodes?? NAHH 😟😟
thats why nobody cares about the walking dead anymore. ur opinion is way off LMFAOO
@@gaysonorthotdaughta I like the kdrama show, but I’m simply saying that there’s so many instances that make no sense even when barely explained.
I said I’m glad people can enjoy it though. I never insulted you, so that just shows how little tolorance you have to opinionated anonymous users…lol go cope. I just said my take on how I thought about it. I would deem it Sci fi thriller at least. Like Resident evil. ❤️😙
Reason I brought up Twd is because if you agree fully on op then bring up that show it makes no sense??
Also I’m just a fan of the show, I don’t consider myself a fan girl, just someone who criticizes my fav genre on ideals & writing.
Thank you I completely freaking agree. Na-yeon made the dumbest move anyone could possibly make because she didn't want to be wrong.
Facts and then mrs park went to go save her smh and then WHEN SHE FINALLY TRIES TO DO SOMETHING GOOD SHE GETS CHOMPED
That was a lot of words… 😦😦😦
I also think anyone she bites will become like her because when gwi nam bit her she became immune
@@afeezsthirstymind Gwi Nam bit the pink cardigan girl and she turned full zombie. Archer guy was turning full zombie as well. I think immunity is based on genetics rather than who's biting you.
@@shomshomni2314 it's fear, only those with fear become zombies, if your fear is too weak you're immune. The virus turn fear into hate and violence.
“As they realized that this whole trip was a waste of time.” This guy is hilarious 😂😂😂
The way I laughed when he said that 😂
Bro i wheezed when he said that
Bringing up the bully into the group is useful but is EXTREMELY risky. (YES HE CAN MURDER US ALL BUT READ THE WHOLE THING , IF WE BEFRIEND HIM ENOUGH , HE MIGHT JUST NOT MURDER US AT ALL) (He can literally murder us all BUT READ THE WHOLE THING , We might just be besties and he wont even think about murdering ALL of us)
he did guage out his eye
Honestly they could've gauged out the Bully's other eye so he would be blind and a lesser threat
They didnt need the bully our group had the zombie girl that also had super strength she coulda defeated the bully zombie dude but for some reason she just watched him bite cheong san.
Only said he was gonna gauge his eye out once he got hit in the eye with the phone and got thrown to the zombies to die.
And Gwinam, the bully, wouldn't even think twice before eating them if he is hungry. Saving Cheong san was a wise decision coz he was brave enough to take lead and do his maximum to help the frndz
I watched this before and i cried so much
Technically the bully is still infected but he has the consciousness and the thought process of a normal human but with all the added benefits of being a zombie
A hambie
Basically he and gam ru have the abilities of a zombie but can still have their mind and intelligence intact. Only con is their need to feed but if they can learn to control it they can make a new breed of super humans/zombies.
DLC pack, where can I buy it
I am not sure he is that smart. The class rep definitely seems more a hold of herself while he's running around mad and obsessed.
basically a superhuman 🥶🥵
I completely disagree, befriending the bully just wouldn’t work. He already killed one of his former bully “friends” and obviously had a god complex after being bitten by the zombies.
Yeah agreed. You can’t trust that guy in your group.
Yeah there is no way that would work and giving up a friend for that is so stupid so yeah 🙄🙄
I can't believe no one has thought of mosquitoes being potential carriers before... O.o
But to be perfectly honest, if mosquitoes ever became carriers in a zombie virus outbreak, we'd be all fucked.
Yeah but idk how a zombie could bite musquitoe withough Eating it or killing it
The Zombie Survival Guide actually takes mosquitoes into consideration, but the author chose to say that they were repulsed by the virus, making them not a really bigger threat than as of right now, though the lack of medical supplies could be a big deal in cases of bad diseases
especially in summer
Technically yeah I don’t think mosquitoes would go after zombies because aren’t they meant to be dead ? I don’t mosquitoes think mosquitoes go after corpses but that is a really interesting idea !!

I’d use the drones to lead them off the roof top or put one of the burners on it and use the canisters of gas to lit the zombies on fire. I can also use the drones to lead them to one place, maybe fill it with oil, gas or anything flammable.
Drones can't carry that much weight. Even an empty bottle is heavy for cheap drones
We could use the speakers on the wall and put the gas and burners underneath. And use then put music on that speaker and then use the drones to lead the rest of the zombies to the speaker. Then we could have the class president throw a burner to lit them on fire.
He can turn the most serious moments into funny moments, “She runs off the rooftop, as they realise, this trip was a waste of time.”
Not a waste of time though... they were reunited with their friend.
I'm convinced, the class president is best girl
