@@TheVeganVicar It was named Hindustan, not because of Hindus, but because India had the Indus river flowing through it. Indus-sthan. Which became Hindustaan , and later modernised to India. Bhaarath is the official name of our country, along with India, written together even in the Indian constitution ( book ). But, this is an answer from my common-man knowledge. The real reason may be different.
