    Umaga is the reason the Usos wear their facepaint, which they do in tribute to him (Umaga was their uncle). If you notice, their paint is two halves of Umaga's facepaint. Jimmy and Jey have cited Umaga as their primary motivator to enter the wrestling business.

    • @LoriWolfcat
      @LoriWolfcat 5 лет назад +11

      Marcus Stewart Aww! I didn’t know that! 😿 The Uso’s are really cool and I hope more Hawaiian and Samoan people become wrestlers cuz they’re awesome, but I don’t know why the narrator said Umaga was a stereotype. Especially since he Was Samoan. I don’t know if it got an official name, but Hawaiians And Somoan’s have a fight dance kinda thing that they do sometimes, so I don’t get what stereotypes he was talking about.

      The Bottom line is the Wrestlers and all either have a crummy union or no union. Vince main streamed Wrazzlin and some praise him and some detest him. Drugs, Alcohol and Steroids are part of the business with or without Vince. Currently I haven't watched Wazzlin in over 10 years, but I've been a fan since watching Leapin Larry Shane and Bobo Brazil back in the 1960's. The Road Warriors is a good example. Hawk lost control and allowed Vince, Drugs and Alcohol to make a fool of Him. Legion Of Doom 4 Life.

    • @mikel0530
      @mikel0530 8 лет назад +6

      +Evan Schatz I allways thought he could be a great intercontinental champ. For me was like a jounger JBL because of his classic move pool: lariat, diving elbow, strong hits, few great slams (like his latter spine-booster finisher), ... A bit simple but powerful and effective.
      A pity his firing (still have to recognice that he had some big fail on screen).

    I still don't know why whenever the Uso's nail their running hip attack, the announcers always say "shades of their daddy Rikishi". #1 Rikishi NEVER did that move & #2 even the Uso's said that they were paying tribute to Umaga.(They said it on "Talk is Jericho").

      I don't think it's that they forgot that move was used by Umaga, but that they're trying to avoid mentioning Umaga at all. They just say it's by Rikishi as a cover up to not have to bring up Umaga, which (apparently) is what WWE is trying avoid...

    Even when Andre the Giant passed away, the WWF (or WWE, whatever) didn't initially give it much press. At the very end of the Saturday morning wrestling show on TV, just as the show was going off the air, they put up a still image on the screen (for maybe 10 or 15 seconds), that showed Andre, saying something like Andre Roussimoff, 1946-1993 (with maybe the date of birth, date of death...I don't exactly remember). True that the program may have been taped as to why they never made one mention during the telecast, but they should have done their still image at the beginning of the show, and not when people are ready to flip the channel. Later that evening, WCW Saturday Night actually had a more fitting tribute to Andre, with Michael Hayes giving a very appropriate and respectful honoring of Andre.
