Sir just now subscribe to your channel, the way of presentation is amazing, actually I decided mg windsor battery rental scheme but I watch the above video my analysis and decition wrong, I have very useful your video and analysis. In the future, I will travel 3000 to 4000 km every month please advise which is the best ev car very low budget Thank you sir.
I will suggest 2 cars 1. Tata Tiago EV ( Good for a small family and within the city usage) 2. Tata Punch EV ( More Space and comfort, good for highway driving and longer trips because of better range ) If you want more clarity, connect with me in instagram - @carmaama , I will call you can clarify your doubts ( free of cost)
Overall 90/100:❤ Good product. Good looks, spacious & taller. It ticks 90% of all expectations of Indians. Two major problems: 1st problem is the smaller battery pack which can generate only a 230 km run. A larger battery pack (high range) is ESSENTIALLY required to CATER to long journey commuters. MG must RETHINK soon. Absence of long range battery will not be good for a family MPV. 2nd is No provision of spare wheel. When Tata Sierra & KIA Siros get launched, it will be retirement time for MG Windsor unless if they provide a long range battery pack. Let's see. The sooner MG provides larger battery pack....the good for MG. Otherwise it would be approaching "retirement" stage. Competition will eat-up it's share.
What about electric bill? For example nenu BAAS tho car teesukuna , 1200km every month running, so minimum 1500 pay cheyali i.e 5250 + electricity bill nene pay chesukovali ga . Then what's the use of BAAS .

Avunu you are correct Saicharan garu, MG is offering lifetime warranty under BAAS Program so that you don't need to purchase / replace the battery after 8 years, So they expect the battery to run for 15 years, but time only will tell what are those hidden terms & conditions associated.

In my opinion, BAAS is the best option we could choose unless you are financially free and money is not a factor. We have to pay 3,50,000/- + taxes, which comes to around 4,00,000/-. If you drive 18,000 km per year, with that 4,00,000/-, we can pay battery rent for 115,000 km for 6.5 years. If you opt for EMI additional interest will be added and the total amount you pay over the tenure would be around 4,60,000/- Car value will depreciate as soon as you buy it. Even MG is offering only a 60% buy-back guarantee in 3 years which means you will also lose 40% value in that 400000/- that is 1,60,000/-. What if you use the car for only 1000 to 1200 km per month? What if you want to exchange or sell within 5 to 6 years? In the next two to three years, more and more electric cars will come with better range and aggressive pricing like BYD Seagull. If you invest that 4,00,000/- you can easily get 15% interest/returns which is 5000/- per month and you can pay the rent for the battery and save that 400000. Go for full payment if your daily commute is over 60km/day and you have no plans to sell in the near future (more than 8 years).
Hi Rakesh, thank you for breaking it down your calculation is insightful. I agree that people who use less than 50 km/ day should only take battery on rent.
