- Wednesday the Westcott Crew sprang into action to rescue an ironworker that fell 150 feet from the Ambassador Bridge into the Detroit River. Thankfully the man who fell, Spencer Baker, was conscious and is expected to be OK but says he has "a long road ahead."
This video shows the events from the Westcott Security Cameras.
Great job to the Afternoon Crew, Capt. Sam Buchanan, Al Holland and Reese Collins. The Westcott crews regularly practice man overboard drills just for a rescue like this. The Westcott Company operates 24-hours 7-Days a week allowing crews to react quickly when there's an emergency, each season Westcott crews are credited with rescuing people from the river. - Авто/Мото
Also a big thanks to the boy and lady who alerted the crew of the fall...😄😄😄😄
Thank God that the woman and the girl saw him fall and went to get help.
Bravo Westcott & kudos to those who informed the crew.
Amen
Now that's how you get it done. Between the civilians and boat crew, that boat was underway in less than two minutes from the time he hit the water. Back at the dock seven minutes after he splashed. 👏👏👏
Well done. So wonderful you all were able to rush out and rescue him. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you to all involved in this rescue. I hope the worker who fell is all right.
It’s impressive to get this much video of what happened.
Great work!
Dude looked at death in the face and death flinched.
Wow,i hope he's ok !That was scary !😮
WOW
That guy needs to play the lottery every week from now on!!!!!
That was his Jackpot
👍💪
Any follow up on this?
He broke all his left side ribs, fractured his right cheekbone and has hematomes in all the body, but he was discharged from the hospital after 24h and told to rest at home.
@@gattetta I’d say that is a happy ending then.
