The Castle of Ourem, also known as Paço dos Condes de Ourém is located in the town of Ourem, Ourém municipality, Santarém district in Portugal.
It is considered one of the most beautiful medieval Portuguese castles.
It has been listed as a National monument since 1910.
Its location and characteristics (around a water source) lead historians to believe that has developed since pre-history, successively occupied by Romans, Visigoths and Muslims. Having the Moors built the fort.
