So many legal and ethical questions are raised by this new tech, though I agree it could be used sparsely as an aid in some cases. For example if you generated an AI song based of specific instructions and completely rewrite the lyrics, then re record it with completely original parts just using the AI’s chord structure and melody but none of the audio, maybe reshaping the arrangement and instrumentation, tweaking the tempo and key - essentially re-recording a cover interpretation based off an AI song - would that be ethical? So many grey areas are coming down the road
good points. I guess that would be like what happens with a lot of artists. Example: Avril Lavigne writes and gives songs to lots of artists. Personally, I love the challenge of trying to write and come up with parts/melodies etc but I will say AI is lot easier to work with than collaborators sometimes!

If the AI wrote the song the AI should be credited for the songwriting.
Of course not! It’s a collaboration not unlike any other.
