I’m so glad you are enjoying the study, Darlene! It would be so much better in person but I’m thankful to have this platform.
Haha! It’s true! We barely know each other outside of FB! Ugh!

Thank you for sharing this. I am in that very difficult and odd season in my motherhood and my place as a woman. I homeschooled our children for 18 years and this past year (fall 2023) that came to the end of my journey. I feel so out of place and like I have no idea what to do. I feel all I do now is clean and which I love homemaking it feels a little monotonous and quite lonely without a daily schedule of homeschooling and kids around. It has really hit me emotionally. I don't what to do with my days and I feel like I have lost a part of me. I think this is where I see that I had made homeschooling and my kids my identity if that makes sense. Yet, I am not sure what to do now. I don't even know how to structure my days for homemaking or anything. I am in that in between where I want to help younger women but yet I feel I can't help myself. I also find it hard to find an older woman and younger woman. I have prayed and fasted for those things and I just have a hard time with older women being dedicated to mentoring very long. I also find it hard to find young women who want this instruction. Any tips on these things.

Thank you for being so real and transparent.
I understand completely. I homeschooled my children through their first year of college (of course that was either online or driving them to a local campus one or two days a week). When that came to an end I had similar feelings.
However, I’ve been studying Gods Word in the area of being a woman, wife, mother, sister, friend, aunt….and I see that there is so much for us to do!
”Honor widows who are widows indeed; Now she who is a widow indeed and who has been left alone, has fixed her hope on God and continues in entreaties and prayers night and day. A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, having a reputation for good works; and if she has brought up children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has assisted those in distress, and if she has devoted herself to every good work.“
      ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬, ‭5‬, ‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭
My youngest left for college 3 or 4 years ago. At first I floundered but then after reading the above verse saw that my purpose in life is not just raising godly offspring. The Lord has so much for us to do in our community.
Last year I ended up getting a job! My first job outside of the home in 29 years!
What are some things you love to do?
Are there neighbors that need a touch from God?
Are there soup kitchens or food pantries that need volunteer help?
      Any women’s Bible studies?
My email is dawnmmriordan@gmail.com if you would like to connect off of RUclips!
I’ll be praying for you my sister!! Gods got plans for you! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
