What I like about you Scott is that you are realistic about how you find and catch fish. I've been fishing about all my life some tournament fishing, but mostly fun fishing still fish 3or4 days a week weather permitting. I've caught my share of big ones in North Carolina where I lived all of my life. When at age 78 it don't excite me to catch a fish of any size I will sit and watch fishing on a a RUclips channel like you're or some of the old boys like your dad's and Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston.
Scott man, I hired you as a guide many years ago on Lake O...when you had your Timex boat. Consider myself privileged to have fished beside you. Booked you for a 4 hour trip and you gave me 8! Looking forward to following you as you make your way to the TOP! You can do it man....finish the legacy! Love the channel!

I fished with Scott's dad back in 90, Top 100, St Johns River. It is unreal how much Scott and his dad are alike. More like identical twins, but 20 plus years apart. Watching Scott is like being with Roland 30 years later. Everyone should get the opportunity to meet them.
This was a tough tournament and it just showed how small the fish are with Taku and his big fish 4lbs 10oz. I keep rooting for you scott and it's going to happen

Great video. We go to the Ouachita river near Crossett Arkansas every year and its awesome. I'm from Tennessee and that style of fishing us so fun. Those cypress knees will dang sure try and make you go swimming!

Interesting to see you catch some fish on all blue crankbait. That reminded me of a Bass tournament won there a while back on blue flipping baits that look like blue crabs. Seems that was food source they were feeding on.

The Sabine can be humbling, for sure...especially on our side over in Louisiana! We're away from home for a while up in Colorado, so it was nice to live vicariously through you guys down there this week. Thanks for all the great content!

Sabine River is a very hard place to fish. I live here and can catch small ones all day but I’ve only caught a few over 4lbs. Think I saw you pass me on the water Saturday afternoon. Love the videos.

I grew up in a tidal fishery and moved to Bridge City. Learning how to fish a river/tidal system is way different! Ive had some killer days fishing the sabine but had quite a bunch of days that where hit and miss! Wish I could've been there to watch.

Hey Scott, one question. Is the Sabine river always that milk chocolatey? Are your choice of color in your baits similar to the decisions made in constantly stained rivers in Florida? I'm just remembering one of the conversations you had with Lunkers (Rob) last month and you informed him that if the water is always this color, fish it normally. Or, will you go with the reds, chartreuse and the like? Good luck this week.
