Thanks again to Zaza for sharing her journey with us so candidly! Please remember that this is only Zaza’s story and her lived experiences and she does not speak for the entire trans or LGBTQ+ community. Please feel free to share your own stories or experiences in the comments while keeping this space kind and safe :)
Leah's damn respectful and professional about talking bout this. Amazing stuff!!!
I admire people like Zaza coz they have that courage to live her truth despite what society tells us what we should or should not do, especially since she grew up in a very conservative environment and her religion too. It helps that she has a mother that is accepting.
And she isn't the only one to undergo such a sexual reassignment. I remember there was another pair of brothers who chose to go through the same thing together years ago. Couldn't find the article if i tried.
And here in SG, external influences can come and go. And some stay. Such as this.
I feel a huge portion of the interview that wasn’t touched on was the fact that zaza was/is a Muslim trans. Would love to have known more about the acceptance/struggles she faced in terms of religious acceptance. This would have been interesting and could be a whole video on its own!! But other than that, it was an enjoyable and insightful video! I appreciate zaza for having the strength to come forward to educate zula’s viewers on this very shunned issue in conservative singapore.
Yes, and she went to CMPB with her Mum!
@@zhousiling6864 hello im not Singaporean what CPMB stands for?

I love Zaza she’s a really strong and nice person despite the bullies in her past. Thank you for being YOU being genuine and authentic
Thank you Zaza for your beautiful courage. As a cis gendered male, I cannot imagine the struggle that you had to go through the whole process. I learnt so much from this video. Your resilience and your courage to be true to yourself. #QUEEN! And you look so so stunning beautiful!

Another excellent video by Zula! Really appreciate all the content that's been put out! Thank you Zaza for sharing with us your incredible journey and Leah for being a great interviewer as usual.
This video deserves to be on the trending list.

We stan a queen!! Thanks for sharing your story, Zaza!
I am already loving her vibe from the first 15 sec of the video!
I love her personality, what a gorgeous queen! Stay pretty!
Yeah I agree 😎🥂
Totally 🙌🏻
She’s so pretty and well spoken! 🥰
Zaza is the kind of person that is brave to be herself. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 inspiring!! Also, she’s so pretty!!
Leah is a consummate interviewer.
And thank you Zaza for willing to share about yourself (:
wow zula can i just say i really have a lot of respect for you guys!! more content like these please
This was really fun to watch, so so good. Zaza's personality really shines through! Question: Zaza mentioned about asking questions at the "right place" and "right time". Any guidelines on this? (Barring obvious ones like "be kind / don't be ignorant / do your own research" of course.) Am just thankful for this platform where I can ask this also. Appreciate any constructive feedback from Zula and Zaza as well as readers here! :p
Thank you for sharing your story, Zaza! ♥️
I've watched how zaza grown up and I'm glad and proud where she is now.. Comfortably.
This was a very well-presented interview. It covers all the key points that people would want to know about transwomen but were too afraid to ask, while making sure the environment was safe and comfortable for the interviewee. Props to Leah's interviewing style, and to Antasha for being very candid and down to earth in her answers.
The host did not joke around lol 😭 zaza tried to make a joke but she didnt laugh dksjks but zaza is so beautiful in and out!!!
Zaza and her “lah sia” hahahaha she’s so funny and cute lahh!! This is a great video, props to how professional both of them are in asking and answering qns in this interview :)
Haha. But lah sia is also a typical mat expression which is a giveaway 😂 and female transsexuals in particular can still leave behind traces of their former anatomy especially if past the pubertal stage.
But the whole transsexual concept isn't new. I recall last time there was one My Life Story ep where a man chose sexual reassignment by choice at 26, story felt rather unnerving. TBH I'm not entirely comfortable with embracing and accepting trans for who they are but i get that sometimes they do it to improve their self esteem
She have such amazing mom its really not easy to get a parent in singapore who accept the lgbt.. its rare
such a lovely content frm zula!
This is pretty interesting for me personally as I had a pri school friend who I suddenly found on FB as a trans when I found an odd name I never saw before in my friend list. Looking back, there were signs but nothing that would make anyone expect that the person would be trans in future.
WAAAAAAA. i love Zaza's vibe. Love love love
Thank you Zaza for sharing your story, you have so much courage and I hope things will only get better! Thanks Zula for this video, super informative, and probably my favourite one ever.
Thank you so much for this Video!
We need more of this because I am going through this same process as well and what you did was amazing inspiring for I believe for the whole community to see. We need more Asian Stories and I am so pumped that this was so necessary to healing so much more!
Thank you Zaza and Zula Committee for doing this. It does change lives and provides so much hope.
I am not a person who comments at all but this does deserve one!
Love, @gohriley
zaza is gorgeous!!
Strong queeennnn 👸👸👸
Transguy here
Very proud of u, zaza😎😎
I remember when learning about Transgenders in Church Youth group years ago, the teacher asked if Transgendered women can give birth. I immediately shouted “yeah!” And everyone around me just quietly glared or were just shocked at what I said. It was as if I slapped their mother or something. The teacher then said “no, they can’t” and I simply replied “oh”. (I’m not in that church anymore LOL)
I really couldn’t help but feel so sad. (I obviously didn’t voice that out considering the temperature of the room) I really hope one day, medical science will allow transgendered people to fully become the gender they identify with, more specifically, their real gender. I am so heartened to see so many people so supportive of the transgender community. I’m not transgendered myself, but I fully support them. We should all have the chance to live a life worthy of living and to become the best versions of ourselves.
nxt time anyone ask such question about a women is someone who can get pregnant n give birth, u should ask them what do u define a biological women who cant hav baby at all? 🤭😉 does that mean she is transgender too since she cant hav baby too👻
@@tumtum3086 a biological woman is someone born with a vagina, does that answer your qns

Thanks ZULA for constantly having segments / interviews with the LGBTQ+ community. More people do need to learn and educate themselves on the people in the world around them, and not that only themselves in their closed view of the world exists. Keep working to keep the privileged in the community learned, respectful, kind and compassionate. Keep it up!

I got to know my first trans friend in ns, heck I think I only know 1 person in the lgbtq community before enlisting, I was like in awe when I heard her story like bro some of them 5 years old know they don't identify with their birth gender while I think I was still learning how to aim properly when peeing.

very cool guest - thanks for sharing! listening to zaza reminds me a lot of kumar (the OG) - both very sensible, reasonable, and excellent representatives/role models to change people's impressions of transgendered people (hopefully!)
Thanks Zula for bringing this topic to light
I really concur on the having trans friends part, really helps with the process
10k sounds quite low for SRS tho, even for mtf ._.
That being said, transitioning in Singapore is pretty pleasant/painless all things considered (personally)
Thank u for sharing ur story Zaza. As a muslim gay man i’m so inspiring in knowing other lgbtq stories especially from a muslim lgbtq+ community. Unfortunately my mom is not acceptance of me being a gay man so yup how jealous and envy i am of zaza mom🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Maybe if you learn how to use proper English your mom may take your choices seriously.🤣

I like this content. Good to know. Good to understand. Zaza so pretty! And I love the name Zaza so cute!
Who's she actually? Work in TSL too?
Its nice seeing people comfortable and happy in their own skin. Nowadays people are more open and accepting but the toughest is being born in a Muslim family and continue to be a transgender. You know what I mean... Most Muslims especially thosse strict ones will nvr accept this... you able to date ur same gender but if he too a Muslim, marriage is impossible. Even if he is not a Muslim, I doubt in SG same gender marriage is allowed? Probably coz Zaza have changed her Gender on her NRIC, its allowed now? I also dont know🤗 Hehe. Anyway I wish Zaza and all other transgender people out there all the best. As for me, as a Muslim myself, I ok with this but I dont encourage this but if its make you happy, I ok with it. Its your body its your call. 😀👍
Looking good Zaza! Thanks for sharing 🌈
oh my God…..what happened i don’t know but i think they came back with a another big one. thank you

Thank you for sharing your life story with us, Zaza ❤️ As part of the LGBTQ+ community, it’s hard to have our voice being heard with 100% acceptance. Keep on living your truth! Hehe :)
I am surprised that the topic of gender dysphoria (which is a condition she has) is not touched on more.
My questions to Queer people especially muslim, did you even believe in the One God and Mohammad SAW is His last prophet? Do you believe in Quran? Do you still believe in rewards and punishments in islam? How do you perform prayer?
I am just glad, for all the outside view of Singapore being a 'traditional' country and may wholly reject such stuff, it is not true and we are accepting, especially from the Governing bodies. While there is definitely a lot of room to improve, in terms of processes and more importantly, acceptance amongst regular folks, we are moving in the right direction.
She is pretty 😍 thanks for sharing your story. Great mom and friends.
I LOVE YOU ZAZA QUEEN 🥺💜

We should not ostracise anyone in this world. We should give our support to the LGBTQ community. They face a lot of challenges in life and we should accept them and treat them equally as who they are. I wish Zaza will have a great life ahead of her! God bless! 🙏
You do you gurl!👏 Don't let the conservative morons in the comments affect you.

When truth and falsehood are rejected then light and darkness are seen as nothing. Read and continue reading. Listen and continue listening. Seek and continue seeking. Insyallah you will understand, fear and obey the creator. This rebuke does not mean I hate you. God speaks in a verse. "So remind, if the reminder should be useful". Thank you and Ramadan karim Zaza. Selamat Hari Raya in advance. Salam.

i want to be Zaza's friend.....
End of day still , sword fight what .
* huh .. how to sword fight if already gone thru sex change surgery . Got V . Nric change to F .
gays and trans are both 2 very different things .
Gays are just men ( usually goodlooking handsome men or muscular men ) who like men . And pride themselves having a D .
Trans think they are women and want be a woman . Hence the sex change surgery to Cut Off . Got V . And boobs . Looking pretty . Nric will also change to F .
If gays love boobs and V . Long hair and pretty face . They aint gay no more .
Hence transwomen we address them as she her out of respect or politeness esp when its reflected in their NRic as F = Female .
Zaza got that mata straight to the latta no matcha
she's so pretty,,,,,
Bertaubat & bersyukur kepada ALLAH. Ingat apa ALLAH buat pada kaum luth!
judging from the dislikes, we got a decent bit of binary supporters here
self love.
Malays have beautiful features.
im curious tho.. do transwomen or ppl in the trans community still accept their biological sex.. i understand that gender is a social construct and out of the billions of ppl living on earth there is def ppl who dont fit the general social construct of gender and that is and shld be accepted as normal and if ppl want to change the way they look, the way they dress or even do sexual reassignment surgery it’s really their own choice just like how some ppl do plastic surgery.. but when it comes to biological sex i feel thats not sth trans ppl can change esp like karyotype, internal genital etc.. and in recent times its kinda confusing that sometimes you see on social media that ppl in the trans community get triggered or offended when ppl point out a biological fact like transwomen cant menstruate or dont have a womb to get pregnant etc and i feel like these are biological facts so there shldnt be an issue.. after all biological sex do have other implications like some medical conditions have risks associated with a certain sex and how a person look or think doesnt change that fact
Once sex change surgery . Got V . Nric will be F .
If still want to be seen as biological sex then no point change sex / do all this right .
* becos they see themselves as the opposite gender . Why ? Becos you are not born like this so you will never know .
Remember gay and trans are both 2 very different things altogether .
I thought the Transgirl is Filipino but I’m guessing she’s Singaporean? 🇸🇬
yeah shes malay
Bawak malu ke kaum melayu
Sometimes female trans might have a bit of that low-to-mid masculine range voice. Other times it can be very hard to tell. Here some of the expressions that she used kind of give it away that she's trans.
On a side note, kecoh doesn't translate to uncomfortable. Chaotic or hectic is correct.
