I used to weld 6 inches on to my shorter posts so they were all the same length. Then one day my neighbour stopped by and said you know you can just pound the longer ones in a bit farther. What a time saver that was. 😂
I lost my father 11 yrs ago, now I live vicariously through you and Brian's video's, we never had the back & forth banter you do, but I'd like to think one day we would've got there........ Keep it up and treasure everyday you have each other.........
Just looked it up and if I had ever heard that Bellamy Brothers song from 82, I don't remember it, got me on that one. The Slim Whitman song from Mars Attacks was something I had forgotten about till I looked up Indian Love Call from 1952 it was as it turns out. The Schill sound of that song took me right back to the scene in the movie where it was killing them!! Talk about a memory inducer, I had forgotten all about the scene till then. Good one Brian!

Putting in fence 49 years ago steel then hedge with post hole digger and sledge hammer. Who ever invented the bobcat should have a gold star on the walk of fame!
You guys had me laughing good when you where harassing each other about the Nailing of the cross post love seeing the bamter between you as much as it pains you to spend money to make it at least you can do most of the work yoursleves
High school chemistry class. 1967. Written on the blackboard by Mr. Smith: "I was going to ask each of you for a good joke today but never mind, all the good ones Argon."
If you don't want a knuckle sandwich, how about a hurtsdontit? 🤣 Thank you again for the effort to keep us entertained. That's a super operation there!
Once again it is your banter back and forth that really makes a great video! I'm sure I'll remember those songs but, I don't know them by title so I will have to look them up. I was starting to wonder about fencing, I think you guys have been holding out on us! I'm pretty sure Brian could still take an opponent to the ground and put that Sawzall to use, good hand to hand choice!
Awesome video Cole! I really enjoyed it, I like watching y'all getting the fences up. I use to do that back in the mid 70's, for other people. A lot of hard work, mostly done without augers and tractor mounted post drivers. Good work there, thanks for sharing and I hope you both have a great week.
Fences would last longer if could buy good quality treated posts. I replaced 6" posts last week that had only been in 12-14 years. Only thing holding them up was the wire.
Weird for me to say it's relaxing watching you two work. I've watched every video twice and will say this is the only channel I love. And I'm kind of a RUclips addict. The perfect American family. Hardworking, made it through tough times, most of the time still with a sense of humor. Thanks for sharing of part of your lives with us. I know I'll be watching The Sonne Farms Family forever. Thanks, Brian and Cole. 👍👍👍👍
My cousin was a school bus driver who kept Slim Whitman tapes on his bus to control the occupants when they got too rowdy. Has same effects on students like it did on Martians 👽
That post driver makes fence building a lot faster. I was never blessed with one. Really like your dual carrier. The electric stapler is the berries That makes fence building much better 🎉
This was a great video where you made a tough job look enjoyable. U2 work together so well and I think any time you can make humor out of an unpleasant job using Barbwire, I have to give you hi5. I love the bantering that goes on between Cole and Brian❣️❣️… I definitely wish my dad would’ve had that attachment for his bobcat to drill fence post… Sure would’ve made our lives a lot easier on the farm!!!!! I’m wondering which guy has the easier job: the guy holding the fence post or the guy sitting in the bobcat pushing the button telling it to pound the post down… Who’s job is tougher?? LOL You guys have a great photography and especially your close-ups whenever you’re recording and I just want to say I wish you could teach some other RUclipsrs how to do that because whenever you’re working on any piece of equipment you were up close and personal and I just appreciate it more than I can say in this short video conversation. I get so frustrated when somebody’s talking about something and they’re 20 feet away from it and you can’t even see what it is they’re talking about. While you guys were working on the combine, Your camera was up close and we could actually see all of the years that you were taking off and putting back on and when you called out the name of it we knew what you were saying & talking about!! God bless you guys for your hard work, for what your teachers, the humor you provide to us every day and the determination never to give up on forming. We love you and it says a lot about your character when you can keep laughing and smiling through a drought all summer😊❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Those were some fancy figures, Cole! I didn't know that they taught math at Brookings! I had a friend that was a post - didn't say much, listened a lot.
All my life we had 5 wire fences. Wooden posts and steeples pounded in to hold the wire. Used a comealong to stretch the wire bull tight. You guys were on a roll! Cracked me up 🤣. Great modification on the corn head! Gotta spend money to make money is so true! Still praying for rain for all of us🙏.
When i was watching you two at the end of stringing wire i remembered a story...uncle and i were doing the same in one pasture..Uncle was bent down and i was helping too and a lone young bull decided to jump up on uncle and hump him.... i never laughed so hard in my life...Like the blazing saddle movie, he stood up and clobbered the bull in the nose.... what a great story....
Bellamy bro's in the 70's had some great tunes.. "Let your love flow" "Old hippy" "If I said you had a beautiful body" In those days, you could hear Dolly , The Eagles , Bob Segar & the Bellamy's on the same station...
Always amazes me how easy your posts go in ground. Where I live you have to dig the rocks out of the way or keep moving your posts until you find a smaller rock.
My favourite Slim Whitman song is Indian Love Call. His song Rose Marie was from that movie and was filmed inJasper National Park, a few hrs west of us. Enjoying your videos. Time for stroopwafels and coffee.
you two are hilarious. And hard working. Years ago I went to a fencing clinic and this good ole boy from Oklahoma came up here to Alberta as one of the instructors, he was awesome btw, But the best thing I took away that day was this guy told us that the one mistake most everybody makes when building a fence is on constructing their brace. He says to keep that corner post from leaning and pulling out of the ground over time we need to make that cross support longer( at least twice the height of your fence posts, even longer. If you picture it you will see how it changes the angle on the diagonal wire brace so it doesn't want to pull that corner post up and out of the ground. Use his tip on 8 ft ht elk fence to bison to cattle. Best tip I ever got on fencing. We use drill pipe for cross brace. Drive a spike into your corner post and slide open ended pipe to rest on spike and tension up the brace. Sorry this comment got longish.
Thanks again for the great video. Most enjoyable. I like the update you are doing to your corn head. Seems a lot of folks are going to that type of chains. Nice update Brian and Cole. You two are great teamwork at building fence. Building fence may look easy but you need to know how to do it. My neighbor was up in years and knew a lot about building fence. He taught me a lot I never would have guessed at. I see you two doing it in building your fence so I know it is a strong and sturdy fence. You two are great at it. You both had a busy day. And took the duals off. Ya!!! Good song of the day Brian. Nice music. About it for now. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Cole & Mr Brian you two are comedy gold! LOL! 😂 But alas I think the fence costing went up a skootch with all the extra nails. And is the "Gotta spend money to make money" mean that if I spend (your)money you'll make some more for me to spend? 😄🙏💙🐨
Great explanation of what it costs to build the fencing an what the savings are. Love the Bellamy Brothers. You guys are the Laurel & Hardy of SD fence builders😝😝😝
Another great video Cole thanks for showing us, When that critter jumped over the fence and Brian turned and saw the critter walk away I thought Brian looked like he was moving to throw it back in, lol Stay safe all and keep smiling
Argon is "all gone". That is a "gas" to close with that line. I was "aghast" that you said it. Brian and Cole get lots done each day and we sure watch you stringing wire. 😊
The “cork hole” conversation cracked me up
I used to weld 6 inches on to my shorter posts so they were all the same length. Then one day my neighbour stopped by and said you know you can just pound the longer ones in a bit farther. What a time saver that was. 😂
lol
More than One way, to skin a ratos. I use peanut better. Lol
The only thing that sucks is your videos end too quickly!!!! Always enjoy guys thank you🙂
"Meanwhile Cole did a great job" I almost lost it.
Brian holds his own against the millennial I love it!
I did lose it 😂😂.
Cole don't ever pass up telling your folks you love them & ask questions because we all will be gone way sooner than you want.
You and your dad were in rare form today. You work hard, and have a great relationship. I never get enough of your videos.
I’m not kidding. I grew up on a farm and you two guys do more work in a day than most people I know do in a month.
I lost my father 11 yrs ago, now I live vicariously through you and Brian's video's, we never had the back & forth banter you do, but I'd like to think one day we would've got there........ Keep it up and treasure everyday you have each other.........

I really enjoy watching Cole and Brian working together you guys so awesome and funny 😄 Rosa

Reduce, Recicle, Re-Use. I hear hear You Brother.
Nahhh still don’t get it
Putting in fence 49 years ago steel then hedge with post hole digger and sledge hammer. Who ever invented the bobcat should have a gold star on the walk of fame!
If dad doesn't hit you for that last comment. Than you know what father son relationships are. Great work guys. Keep them cows fed.
It’s nice to see father and son working together. No way I could work with my dad. Wish I could have.....
Possibly the funniest episode yet!
Putting that nail there was clearly "knot" a good idea...
You guys had me laughing good when you where harassing each other about the Nailing of the cross post love seeing the bamter between you as much as it pains you to spend money to make it at least you can do most of the work yoursleves
Used up and strung out is the perfect description for 2016-2021 for my life. Glad that shit is over.
My late father-in-law worked for John Deere in Australia for a long time. If he was alive now he would have watched every episode multiple times.
Favorite Slim song "Cattle Call!! Our best party in college was when Slim provided all the entertainment via vinyl!!
As soon as he says "I do" Coles personal space will be the sole property of the lovely Miss Tiffany.
Slamagun, sounds like something off of the Chicago fire series. Lol

Always brings back great memories of working with my dad. Miss him dearly... Keep up the great videos!
Nobody walks away from fencing with Bob war without marks.
Uhhh...the duals holder thingy doowoop is pretty genius!!!

Brian & Cole have the same humor that my kids & I do.. love it
The pencil remark cole said had me rolling hahaha

Lol lol I laughed I thought u said it popped out the corn hole. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 great progress on the jobs.
Fences would last longer if could buy good quality treated posts. I replaced 6" posts last week that had only been in 12-14 years. Only thing holding them up was the wire.
I says it before, I says it agin, love Brian n Cole's interactions.
It’s not just free food, I see it as nothings being wasted and you’re making use of the whole plant. Win win in my eyes xx
You two work so well together and have fun doing it.
Favorite Slim Whitman song; Una Paloma Blanca (Ahh-Ahhh)
Staple gun (slam-a-gun) is the best thing ever!! And your wire un-roller is working beautifully! Glad you got that fence section done.
Weird for me to say it's relaxing watching you two work. I've watched every video twice and will say this is the only channel I love. And I'm kind of a RUclips addict. The perfect American family. Sausage finger pencil 😆! Thanks for all you and Brian and Jeff do.

Brains Pencil, PRICELESS! Walked uphile to school, both ways!
And carrying that darn pencil! In knee deep snow!

Sounds like you two have been practicing Bob Welker punnery. S Dakota style
Healthy humor is a refined art. Keep it coming 😊
The banter is great makes it easier to get work done
You know, I doubt the common person has no idea how much work goes into farming, ranching. Thank you for taking us along.
thanks Barbara
Great video 👍😄👍

Great video Cole, Brain enjoyed the show have a day love 😍 from TEXAS
Pop always said..,”Do it right, or don’t do it at all.”
Whatever would a farmer do without vise grips. I just love that. It never changes the ingenuity of the farming people!!
Cole have you tried either a cow cam or calf cam , mount on head could be interesting
GREAT VLOG COLE & BRIAN...
GBY BOTH & Your Families 🙏❤️💙💙🐕🤗✝️
Best channel out there

Hi Cole and Brian. I really enjoyed the video! God bless.....
Hey we appreciate Brians instant reply’s
I love Slim! I've got big in Europe! Lol
My father in Law was Korean war area! He had Popeye dated on his arm!
I loved it! He was awesome!
In one of the Lethal Weapon movies Danny Glover used a nail gun to stop a guy, right afterward said "nailed him"
Fantastic! Brian live forever. The thought. Kills me.
Don't worry about it boys, stock don't worry if the fence line is straight or not if it's straight they will allways put a bend in it over time.
Great explanation of what it costs to build the fencing an what the savings are. Love the Bellamy Brothers. You guys are the Laurel & Hardy of SD fence builders😝😝😝
You two are really quite the pair! Fun video. Thanks!
The way that you play off of each others whit, is incredible. If you weren't farmers, you could do successful stand-up!
Party on Wayne!
I love you Dad back in the day we used our teeth to stretch that wire that's a good one
Another great video Cole thanks for showing us,
When that critter jumped over the fence and Brian turned and saw the critter walk away I thought Brian looked like he was moving to throw it back in, lol

Here in I-da-ho you couldn't drive anything into the cliche soil; a backhoe, and a strong one, is necessary.
