You call him a dictator, but he ran the Socialist party in Syria. Don't tell me Socialists know who dictators are and who aren't by their policies. Most of our well-known dictators tend to be socialists ideologically than anything else. Hitler ran the National Socialist movement, just like Mussolini, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Lenin, Castro, FDR, and so on. You can't tell me one dictator that was not involved nor had any ties to a socialist movement. Socialism is just a stepping stone towards Communism, which is why I had put Communist leaders in my list. They're all the same when you look at their policies and treatment of people when they get corrupted with power.

It seems like internationally they want Iran out of the area and replaced with Turkey. Also, that late into the conflict the army has been very demoralized, no one wanted to fight for the regime.

Lack of experience? Bashar held onto power for 24 years. He’s had plenty of experience just by being President of Syria. I don’t know if Bassel would’ve been any better, but Bashar mostly just kept doing what his father had been doing and basically resigned to being an Iranian/Russian puppet.
