SRT Steering Wheel Install

- In this video i will be installing a SRT style steering wheel onto my 2013 dodge charger R/T. This install was quite simple and didnt take very long, ill leave a list of all the tools i used to complete the swap below, if you have any questions leave a comment and ill get back to you asap. Tools needed:
-10mm Socket
-10mm Hex head socket
-Breaker bar
-Ratchet/extensions
-Trim removing Tool
-Flat Head screw driver
I can imagine myself doing that and blowing the airbag by accident 😂😂

When you added the new steering wheel does it line up in the same position the old one came off or do you have to remember what position the old wheel came off

When you did this did you have to get the srt8 air bag or kept your rt air bag
hey Jake so im changing out the turn signal/wiper assembly and i have taken off the steering wheel and i can not get that 10mm hex bolt to break..... was yours over torqued and mhow did you remove it?
Jeremy Garcia mine was quite easy to remove I just used a breaker bar and had someone hold the steering wheel while I broke the bolt loose so the steering wheel wouldn't move
did your car come with the cluster like that or did you swap it?
And does it feel lighter from your stock steering wheel?

Hey Jake, Keep up the good work ! Question, can a 2017 Charger srt steering wheel be put on the 2009 Charger srt8 super bee ?? 2009 didn't have paddle Shifters or airbags
I don't really have a good answer man I wanna say no it doesn't work because there wouldn't be the wiring harness for the paddles and also idk of the wiring harnes would be the same for all the steering wheel controls. With that said you could I'm sure wire tape and make it custom and maybe get it to work but I wouldn't think its plug and plau
If you need to install the Paddle shifters in a car that doesn't have paddle shifters do you have to program the car to something or just install them and they'll work right away

Yes would be able to swap but obvisouly the paddles wouldn't work
Did all the buttons work after swapping wheels? Also if you swapped a r/t with a paddle shifter wheel would the paddles work?
Alex And yes all buttons worked and yes my r/t had paddles and they still work on the srt one

dan mcdonald hm I'm sure it would mount but idk how the wires would connect I personally never seen it done

Bedoo ash maybe hex key or hex bit but those are the only names I know them as, I got mine from lowes/Home Depot

Hey I went to Speedlogix website but I didn't see one that was black trim it was that shitty as silver trim you know any other place that sell it with the black trim as yours thanks and yes they are pricy damn are they serious
James Guy my was once silver I painted it gloss black before the instal the silver pieces come off with a few screws

Did you take this off a 2013 SRT? How much did you snag it for?
it was from a '14 SRT and i got the steering wheel for $200 then i body filled the srt engraving on the bottom of it then painted it black, then the air bag was $300-400.
Will the other aftermarket company you mentioned before sell the whole steering wheel as a unit?

James Guy hey man so I got licked enough to find someone personally selling it and got it for a good deal so either you could keep waiting around and wait for one to poop up or a company called speedlogix sells them brand new but they are a bit pricy
