    Dear sir, your videos are highly informative, and I appreciate the comprehensive details provided.
    As per IS 383-2016:
    Uncrushed sand or natural sand should be less than 3%.
    Crushed sand should be less than 15%.

    Dear Mr. Raj,
    The method you are telling is not the method in the IS code 2386 Part-1. It says to use nest of sieves in the code once you check the procedure.

    Sir, limit 15% hai,aur dust ka final value 23% aaya hai,.pass hoga ya fail aur kya 15%limit (silt by weight) correct hai..,🙏🙏

      For crushed stone, Dermissible limit on 150 Micron IS sieve is increased to 20 percent , This does not affect than 5 percent allowance permitted in 4.3 Applying to other sieve sizes..
      Silt content not more than 8% by weight & by volume 15% .. acceptable limit.. for RCC work...

      Silt particles are 0.05 mm to 0.002 mm and feel similar to flour when dry. Clay particles are extremely fine - smaller than 0.002 mm,
      Generally washing method mein donon ki ek sath wash hota..
      Good observation 👍
      Kyunki generally silt aur clay donon ka percentage ek sath hi nikalta hai sand mean..

    Wrong it is 2.46% Pl. divide by 488 gm Net wt. of Sand.

      Dear total sample weight :- 500 GM hai, 488gm after washing hai..
      Silt content :- S1 - S2
      500-488 = 12gm
      Silt content = S1-S2/S1×100
      12/500×100 = 2.40%
      Please check the IS code & CPWD..
