  • We drove the Infiniti QX55 Sensory AWD a little over a year ago, and while nothing has changed James gets the chance to try out the SUV Coupé for himself to see if it's a vehicle worth considering.

    Infiniti isn't a brand known for radical change, and that's certainly true for this 2023 Infiniti QX55 Sensory AWD. We last drove a 2022 model at the tail end of 2021, and while the exterior paint is different the features and tech are identical to the one we had before. This vehicle is positioned as a compact luxury crossover coupé competing against vehicles like the BMW X4, and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé. Luxury brands love these vehicles and Infiniti has jumped right into the mix. This vehicle comes with the brand's 2.0L variable-compression turbo engine which is designed to give you fuel efficiency when you need it, and performance when you want it.
    James goes over the exterior design and features of this vehicle including his thoughts on the overall look. Features you'd expect to find at this price are found here including keyless entry on all 4 doors, power lift gate, LED exterior lighting, and a surround view camera system, although the camera quality or LCD screen resolution is still low and doesn't quite fit the price point of this vehicle. Interior features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, Bose audio, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and a panoramic sunroof.
    We then take the 2023 Infiniti QX55 Sensory AWD on a comprehensive real-world road test to talk about how this vehicle drives, handles, and performs on the streets of Quebec and how it compares to some of the other vehicles you might be considering. James goes over what he likes and dislikes about this crossover and what improvements could be made to it.

    I have a 22 luxe fully loaded! I love it! Nice review! Personal mode with the compression system might go over some inquiry thinking… you may not feel or hear the power like some may be used to, but with four wheel drive I can overtake traffic situations very well.. set your driver position with seat and position steering wheel.. you’re good! Really good!! Sport mode on highway… digital humming of engine is different being quieter and less rumbling… sometimes I looked at speed and had to slow down because I didn’t realize… I was moving!! I’ve learned to authentic feeling of power vs digital feeling of power! A wanted move on the road in situations that gets the job done this car will do it!

    They spent so much time designing the exterior, they forgot about the interior 😂

    I love everything about this thing except the CVT, they should put the 9-speed in it from the QX60 and while I can live with the screens they now finally have newer ones from both Infiniti and Nissan products that they can update this with, especially for the price point. Then they have a winner. I just wonder if it is too late. I am rooting for them though.

      Definitely does need a few changes to make it properly competitive.

    Love the way it drives. The more I drive Infiniti’s, the more I love them. I also think the usability is great. I don’t want a glorified iPad in my cars. Look at airplanes. Physical buttons are the way to go.

      We do prefer physical buttons also, there's a way to incorporate modern technology with buttons though.

    All this needs is one large screen on top of the dash instead of two integrated smaller ones. Screens sell.

      Infiniti could do a lot to modernize their interiors.

    Why is the CAD price so much cheaper? That should be closer to like 78k CAD with straight conversion.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  Год назад +1

      That’s the selling price here, manufacturers typically don’t base their global pricing on what it sells for in the USA.

      @@PRNTestDrive One of the few times we don't get screwed for pricing in Canada then, neat.

      Typically the MSRPs in Canada are better, which is why a lot of vehicles end up getting exported to the US, it's cheaper for them to come up here and buy vehicles to resell down in the States.
