great looking radio. how's the case work. Lots of those were laminated and the glue gives it up after 40-50 years. Also, if your gonna do the radio itself, do you know about paper wound capacitors? THe dielectric dries out over time and they can short or go completely open. I replaced all of them in an old Hellicrafters short wave (1947) and it worked well for a couple of years.70' of long wire out the upstairs window. I get "tidy" every couple of years, but it never lasts.
Funny you should ask. She's now 95% stripped and I'm replacing a small section of laminate. The rest is not too bad, just a few glue injections! I did a 1938 Philco years ago and then it sat unused so I gutted it and made it into a cabinet. Not yet sure on the date of this one's electricals.
