I’m Puerto Rican & my grandmother was a Catholic who practiced Santeria. My mom experienced a lot of demonic activity as a little girl, & to some degree so did I. Because of the demonic activity that my mom was experiencing, a Santera told my grandmother that my mom had a gift to communicate with spirits & she advised her to get all red curtains all over the home. My to mom was always attracted to Jesus since there were pictures of Jesus around the house along with all kinds of statues. My grandmother would visit witchcraft stores called “botanicas”. I would sometimes go with her but I hated it. It was dark & smelled like incense. There were TONS of idols. My grandmother had kid size statues of Tribal Indians; I didn’t like them at all. She lit candles to the “Catholic saints” and would teach me about some curses on a low level. She was not as heavily into it as many others, nevertheless she carried false ideologies of provision & protection almost until her death. About two months before she died, the Lord sent me to her to witness one last time to put her faith in Jesus alone. We had a wonderful time in the word and in prayer where she brought her fears before the Lord and she cried and prayed with me. Before I left I seen a cup of water that she had by her door and I asked her why she had that cup and she said that it was so that the evil spirits will not enter into her home. And I told her that only Jesus can protect her and that the Lord did not want her to have that cup there because she’s putting her faith in something that cannot help her and that is false. She called me not long after I left to tell me that she would appreciate if I wouldn’t discourage her regarding where her faith was. I just tried to reassure her that I love her and that I know that Jesus is the only one that can save her and protect her and that she needed to put her faith in him alone. Little did we both know that a couple of weeks later she would be diagnosed with terminal cancer. About six weeks from then she passed away BUT… there was a moment about two weeks before she passed away where I seen her and she grabbed my hand tightly before I left and she told me “I want you to know that I threw out that water and then I put my faith in Jesus the way that you told me to” and she mentioned that He was in her heart & I could see so much peace in her face. There’s some other really cool testimonies about her and the Lord before she passed away and I absolutely believe that she is with the Lord and I know that He so faithfully sent me to her before she passed away to do business with God ♥️🙌🏼

When I accepted Christ, I still had a hard time fighting demons and heavy spiritual warfare. My grandparents were into witchcraft, and the Holy Spirit made it known to me that I had to break the generational curses and covenants in order to be free. If you've never been through deliverance, I wouldn't expect you to understand.

My neighbour was a Santeria priestess. She did rituals and had peoole.coming to her house at all sorts of hours through the night. There were alot of strange things that would happen, and sometimes my husband and I would be woken in the night to pray and we would look out the window and see her light was switched on where she would do her rituals and have her customers. She even had a doll outside her house which was apparently a 'spirit doll.' It was to invite a specific spirit (demon) into her home. It was all very very odd. We would have to pray alot because we could discern the spiritual warfare going on.
Sounds like where I live a witch house was renovated from an old house. It was opposed but the community allowed them. They hold all types of spell casting etc. there and they have a huge black dragon statue on the porch. They circle around throughout the neighborhood. We usually are under spiritual attack when we see them passing I warn my family and we pray continuously. I know the power of Jesus is stronger than anything they can do!!

There were many people in my home church that would speak in tongues every time we had service, as soon as they stepped out to testify. And the night God filled me with the Holy Ghost, and I knew it wasn't me who did the speaking, but the Holy Ghost, we weren't at our home church. So the very first way the devil jumped on me was to tell me, "The people at your regular church won't believe you if they don't hear you speak in tongues, and they may not believe you even if they do. Or you may have to go to another room or your closet of prayer to keep from waking up other family members. If that doesn't bring you peace, get out an Authorized King James Version of 1611 bible, and read some in it. Don't waste your time with any of these new PER-versions! Maybe God wants to show you something in the scriptures. I'm now deep into my 9th study of the whole, complete Bible. Just start at the beginning with "In the beginning" and read as much as the spirit leads you to read each day, unless he leads you to read some other part. Another thing I love to do is to just go out and mow the grass or bush hog my land, because out there, it's just God and me. And I can think and pray for hours alone, because I've learned that no one in my family is going to come out there and help me! 😁😂😁

Can confirm that what she shared is correct. I knew someone who wore white for a few days, would pray to “God”, openly admitted to practicing Santeria, and admitted that it gave him so much so “why would I quit?”. He would also say that he would find snakes in the basement and that Orisha was someone who was there to protect that he never used it for evil, only good. I thank the Lord, for getting me out of that situation!
Another thing....I always hear people say that when they meet Satan that he is VERY attractive. He appears as an angel of light. When she said that his voce was attractive, that doesn't surprise me. I moved into a house in 2018 and the Lord moved me to pray to cast out all demons 😈 that resided in that place before I moved in. I watched a TV show a few months ago where a lady was flipping a house. The rooms and decor of the home had to be arranged in a particular way to harmonize the energy of the home with the home owner. Upon completion of the flip, she brought in a spirit medium to go through each room to bring "positive energy" to it. I now pray over every place I lay my head for the night.

He interviewed his Barber who was into these practices, his whole family was into it until recently, he was drawn by the love of Christ and surrendered to Jesus and his testimony is POWERFUL!! his mom recently came to Christ too. My family is part Fijian and I also slept with the covers over my head growing up, even in summer. My mum thought the Anglican Church would provide some protection, but it’s very similar to Catholicism and nobody knows the Holy Spirit, who drove out the familiar spirits when I was an adult. If God tells them to leave, they cannot stay.

I was freed from the new age and some darker stuff through the Catholic Church, but this story resonates strongly with me. The inability to sleep, the attacks, the ramped up aggression when you turn to Jesus. This is powerful testimony. Thank you for sharing this story.
It's been a while, but would you please tell me about why is catholicism different than santeria or witchcraft? I'm in the middle of my conversion from protestantism to catholicism, but there are things in catholicism like altars, consecration to saints, blessed objects (sacraments) that to me, they just are too similar with witchcraft (or what I heard about witchcraft). So I'm looking for explanations on why catholicism would be different. Could you please share your thoughts on that?
I am from Puerto Rico and to add a little about all this, it is a African religion camouflaged with catholic church saints (santos) images and that's why it is called Santeria. During the day the priest though the african slaves on the island were worshiping, for example Virgin Mary, when in reality was one of their deities...Ochun I think. I even used to see watermelon offerings at the beach sometimes. At night, specially after midnight, the real group rituals beging as I used to see them when I was a kid. Other images or deities from other cultures were added throw the years. Nothing to do with Christianity. Just another Catholicism mixed with other things like Santa Muerte in Mexico, and others.
We don't call it african religion it's witchcraft and alot of Africans don't even practise it but it seems that people believe in it so much and it's really dangerous seeing alot of people practising it
👋🏾 Born and raised in BPT too, Central Magnet High graduate! Santeria and other versions are commonly practiced in the region by multiple cultures. I don’t live there now, but when I go back to visit, a feeling of hopelessness, depression, anger, hate, violence, death…negative energy is present among the people. The devil has a stronghold there! Many have given up on TMH and have turned to the enemy for their blessings.
Many times when people say they are "Christian", they are really speaking to being "Catholic". Which many believe is the true church....but it's not. Catholicism and it's practices are fundamentally pagan/idol worship. That's why it's so easy to mix with Santeria and other idol worship. That goes all the way back to Nimrod/Semiramis and her little demon baby Tamuz. The names change in different cultures and times. Horus, Osiris, Isis, Baal, Ashteroth, Queen of heaven, etc.
And you know this how? Have you ever set foot in a Catholic church? People do many things in the name of Christianity and even Catholicism. It is super annoying that people hear rumors and whispers about what goes on in the Catholic Church instead of doing their own research.
I don’t know if this would help her, but covering my hair when I pray and read my Bible made a huge difference spiritually. One of those differences is that it gave me an authority around people that work for the dark side. I remember giving Bible studies to a witch and she would mention it more than once. She would say things and somehow mention something about me converting my head. People that would be with me and come around her would ask me what I was doing for protection because they would feel evil around her and her migraines and other attacks physically. I never felt anything. I’d step in and give her her Bible studies. She didn’t get baptized but she did accept our Bible studies and came to church at least once. But anyway, I started to cover my head when I read 1 Corinthians 11 and somehow I just understood the power of a headcovering for a woman in a while different level. I really felt God was asking me to wear one. Now I love it! I have different colors and sometimes wear it full time. I just love ❤️ it!

Head covering in 1 Corinthians 11 is a believing husband. God is the head of Christ, Christ is the head of husband, husband is the head of the wife. Being married to an equally yoked husband prevents the angels from seeking you out

This testimony is so powerful. It was definitely a blessing. I have experienced some demonic things as well. I would say I was introduced to Jesus (the truth) December 2021 after watching from Babylon to America. As of last month I fully surrendered my life to God. I attended SDA church on Sabbath and my son goes to an sda school.
I know what it's like to have been tormented at nights... There's a point in my life where I'd be terribly afraid, but not anymore. God is truly wonderful! There's no such thing as "Catholic witch craft" it's called syncretism, the merging of two or more originally different inflectional forms. Please do more research before talking about a difficult historical subject. Santeria is the mixing of African vodoo with Catholicism and not Catholics in it's true form. I work at a youth center in Bridgeport CT and I have seen this in our youth especially our foster teens we have alot of Hispanic youth that attend our center. But to God be the glory his purposes will not be hindered we will work with our Lord Jesus to bring these kids out..

She and i went through so much in common in regards to Santeria. I never practiced it but my dad and abuela did and wreaked havoc in our home and our lives. That room or alter was in our home too. Sickening. Things in common with her situation 1. Family puerto rican and santeria and Catholicism 2. 2 spirits would visit me EVERY night 3. I too can feel when a person is involved in demonic things 4. Dreams that would happen 5. They also tried to kill me in both the same way as her. Choked and a car accident A. I often swerve to avoid ppl i think i see. Just spirits So so so much stuff has happened in my life that has proven to me that d3vils are real but im grateful because i KNOW that Jesus and Jehovah are real. My mom and aunt deceived me into going to a Cuban witch doctor. They told me he was some sort of doctor who could cure all disease. They needed a ride so I took them. When I got there he had a whole bunch of idols and dolls around the room. He would throw these shells in the table and try to predict my life, which he didn't really do well, I just agreed with his prediction. I knew he was a charlatan but my mom and aunt believe in this stuff. He also did the sacrificing the chicken ritual. It's disgusting. I tell my mom but she refuses to believe this is bad. She believes in all sort of spirituality and yes, she was brought up catholic. Even though I went to a mass with her where the priest said that going to psychics and having amulets is wrong, she doesn't listen. I read the whole Bible and realized how messed up everything is. I told my parents, but they refuse to believe that the Catholic Church could do any harm. They say the Catholic Church is the church formed by Jesus Christ and the Catholic church is the final authority. I tell them what the Bible says, and they dismiss it. They tell me to talk to a priest, that I don't understand it. My family is so gone. I was saddened at first, but my faith in God is so strong, that I have learned to deal with it. I prayed for them, but they don't change their ways.

I was attacked by the Jezebel spirit years ago so I have a sensitivity to that spirit and I can feel it as soon as somebody comes in the room who is being attacked by it. When I look at their EYES the “feeling” gets very intense and I have to look away. It happened in church while I was singing in the choir one Sunday. A man from another church came in and man oh man it was not a fun feeling. I realized that day what it was. Now I recognize it anytime someone around me is “infected” by that spirit. My daughter also has great discernment, especially with objects. And yes, demons are attached to specific injects sometimes. We had a Pokémon card years ago still in the house and when I was telling my son about how the people making the cards purposefully put curses on some, the tv and cable both came on at the same time. I was told it was the demon showing itself. We also had a statue that had a demon attached to it. The fertility statue. I liked African art. My daughter couldn’t walk out in the living room at night. Once it was gone she could tell me it was the statue. It’s no joke.

Since then He has removed the scales from eyes and given me ears to hear and eyes to see. He is my Shepherd and gives me discernment on all things. He has exposed all the lies of this world to me and it pains me greatly to see so many falling for the wicked schemes of Satan, especially those He does disguised as a Christian and a minister of light. I’m Cuban born and raised came to america when I was young. And we was raised practicing both. As they both can merge together at time. I grew up in Catholicism and Santeria and even to the darker side of witch craft from my culture which is called bábalo . They really evil stuff. I'm Hispanic and I remember when I was little, my mom, who grew up Catholic and got into New Age and believes in tons of crazy stuff, taught me to pray to my guardian angel. I said no, I only pray to God. Crazy about these "guardians" sort of beings. Very demonic. I'm sure we have a guardian angel, but we should not pray to or worship it, only God should be prayed to and worshipped.

Yup, I know several people who practice santeria, in fact besides catholicism, it is another popular practice in Mexico. You can find botanica stores anywhere, even here where I live in Wisconsin. Sad part is that many who practice this don't realize how evil it is.

I can absolutely relate to this! I used to get sleep paralysis and nightmares almost every night because I was tampering with things related to the occult. God freed me in the name of Jesus. You guys should research santeria. Some of the info is off. Santeria like Voodoo comes from Africa. It was practiced by slaves. In Cuba they would not allow the slaves to practice their religion so they would hide their Idols of worship in Catholic saint Icons/Statues. This is where it got the name Santeria. Being Hispanic I've witnessed alot of things I was uncomfortable with. Alot Cubans are catholics and practice santeria. I've seen the statues of Mary or saints and they would give it money, cigars etc...I don't believe in that. I don't believe in religion I'm a follower of Yahusuah/Yahuah. I have a relationship with God/Yahuah the most who created everything.
The plant she mentioned is probably the RUDA PLANT or RUE in english. It has a strong smell but is used alot in Hispanic remedies. Its also use in wicca rituals. It works well for ear aches. Every Mexican house will have this plant lol

Statues are reminders… not idolized. Roman Catholicism is the one true church, stemming directly from our first Pope, Peter, the rock, selected by Jesus Christ himself. God put a burden in me to pray for my family as there was a generational curse passing down the line and the Lord showed me that it had to do with altars from greatx4 grandfather. I would recommend that she research about "breaking of altars" by Myles Monroe and "courts of heaven" by Robert Henderson. I know, we are all sinners, I am, which is why I pray and repent daily. I feel more at peace than before. Not as many nightmares and sleepless nights. I once prayed Psalm 91 to rebuke an evil spirit that my mom invited into our house with one of her rituals. I could sense the evil. After I prayed, I felt better and the evil was gone. God is very powerful.

Santeria uses Catholic images and has absolutely no grounding in Catholic Christian teaching. None. It is condemned by the Catholic Church. It is a cultural practice that uses religious symbols to make it more “palatable” or relatable (taking religious images familiar to Latino communities like Saints or the rosary or the Bible) but let’s call it what it is - talking to demons. Saints are people in Heaven who we ask to pray for us. That’s it. Just like a person asks a friend to pray for them on earth; we ask friends in Heaven to pray for us. You can go your whole life as a Catholic and pray directly to God, never to Saints, and be fine. It’s not a requirement of salvation.
Why ask a saint to pray for you when God has given you the authority and freedom to pray to Him for yourself. He wants a direct relationship with you. God bless you 🙌🏾
I really want to mention how much this testimony has blessed me. You’ve showed that breaking from family traditions and idol worship is possible and you can be free with Jesus. Thank you for your vulnerability. So many things I relate to in your testimony. The terrible nightmares, inability to sleep, not wanting to go to sleep, attack after attack. I experienced the shadow man too. I would tell people these stories and they wouldn’t understand! Seeing all these people in the comments experience the same thing is helpful, because you realize your aren’t alone. Spiritual warfare is real! But God is stronger. I wrestled for years with spiritual warfare. I recommend fasting and calling on the name of Jesus. When I started to call on Jesus in my dreams ! Ha that’s when I knew God was working it out for me. Minister Ewing was a God send in helping me be free. He’s on RUclips and explains covenants parents and grandparents made, and this opens the door to demons in our lives. If someone is going through this don’t give up. It doesn’t happen overnight. Stay in prayer and ask God for knowledge. The Bible says,”my people perish due to lack of knowledge!” Read God’s word and apply the word. You will be free. The Bible also says in revelation,” We overcome him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony!”

Nightmares when I did sleep. Molested by my babalao at the time. Constant torment. Being able to sense things that others can't also. I have a very similar story to hers. I grew up in New York City and my family is still very heavily involved. I was raised Catholic but even when learning as a child I always noticed the inconsistencies within its own doctrine, such as the graven images. I believed in Jesus but I figured He was just unknowable since I observed the Catholics didn’t have it right. It didn’t make sense to me so I never took it seriously. But I also had a troubled childhood so growing up I was hungry for some sort of control over the chaos. I began doing the novellas and casting the spells to deepen my spirituality and influence and power, but as she said things began to get worse. So for every step forward there were ten steps backward. It didn’t take long for me doing these spells that I began to notice this trend and I gave that up and delved into different avenues of witchcraft. I used to have the crystals and tarot cards. And I also was very tormented. My bed would shake and I would have the craziest most frightening dreams. Life was terrible and I opened the Bible one day I began to read and a whole new world was shown to me. After that the world began to fall off of me little by little but the torment persisted. Even getting worse. I began to get rid of my occult tools. Burned books that didn’t serve Christ. It wasn’t until I became baptized that all of the torment stopped. Which makes sense in retrospect knowing that baptism is a public declaration of the internal change. So forsaking my past in baptism when I tell you I slept! I laughed when she said this bc man do I love to sleep now lol. God is good y’all.
I really hope her and her family went through deliverance. Familiar spirits to this degree are very stubborn and possessive and deliverance is a must to break all curses and evict these tormenting demons from the person.
The lady saying she's gonna be one of the 144,000 of the Book of Revelation is odd given that the 144,000 is going to be made up of Jews from each of the 12 tribes of Israel.
I also believe physically pure Jews will be the 144k. But that's a good thing because the Jews that are Christians have the Word of God in their bones. When these days become darker and we are blindly looking for spiritual truth, the Jews will be spreading it. Always look for ministries that associate with Jewish believers. I can relate in a certain way to this story. I was born and raised in a Catholic family and my mother would go to a botanica and had an altar of Catholic saints and virgins and lit candles for each one. She would consult with the person at the botanica and would have her do rituals for different things my mother wanted. None of fhis worked as expressed in the video (because none of those things have real power to change your life, it's just a lie). So when I became an adult, as it was mentioned in this video, "I went back to what I knew" and wanted to do the same things as my mother did. But there was always that little voice telling me to not get involved and to stay away from botanicas, psychics, etc. Thank God I became involved at a Christian church and God exposed that everything else outside of God's Word is all pure lies that don't lead to anywhere else. I just wish that they would let the woman talk. Tell her story from the beginning. It can be all over the place. We are trying to learn, what I believe God wants us to see and learn. It is very hard for me to do that. This woman has a story to tell, let her tell it.
Her story is a classic thing that happens to prophets. Abuse, rejection, pain etc The devil usually attacks them from childhood. This is a liberating testimony for many. Thank you for sharing. The ignorance of many churches actually sends people into darkness. While the Catholic Church has its weaknesses, it did feel a little anti-Catholic at some point. I went to Catholic schools in Cameroon and I was taught about Jesus, even if the Bible study culture was not that strong. There are some true treasures in the Catholic Church. A lot of the knowledge we have today in the church comes from Catholic saints like Augustine, Francis of Assisi, Teresa of Avila etc. As with any denomination, there's room for reform towards the truth.
In my opinion they are more into paganism than true Christianity. The worshipping/praying of idols and “saints” is not taught in the Bible. Nor worshipping Mary. Or needing to pray to Mary to get to Jesus. There is a lot of Catholic holidays that line up with old pagan rituals. The fact that the Pope is called the Holy Father is blasphemous in itself. I have relatives that are completely immersed in Santeria. I can tell you this: there are many forms and ways to practice this religion. There is no standard set of practices or beliefs, which makes it especially hard to recognize it. This young lady seems to have been exposed to a very “universal” form of Santeria. The version I am familiar with in California involves most influence from Mexico. Her version of it has roots from Puerto Rico. It comes from Africa, as she states, originally. The Yoruba tribe, West Africa IIRC. Depending on how much the local sect practicing it adheres to the African roots, will determine the style of worship and ceremonies. She referred to people as having a “guardian”, this is correct- the African term for this spirit/lesser deity than God is an “orisha”. Animal sacrifices include goats very commonly in rural California where I live. Chickens are convenient animals to sacrifice in secret and because they are dirt cheap. Generally, larger more valuable animals are used when possible for any initiation or baptism type ceremony. It is also true about the white/black magic. She uses the generic Spanish term “bruja” for dark witchcraft. The other term for this is called PALO (Paul-O). They are chosen by an elder/medium to go in this direction in the religion. They definitely know they are doing the more evil spells and rituals. The ritual of wearing white is also true to varying degrees. Devout believers will wear all white, head to toe. Hats, shoes, female head coverings- everything. They wear bead bracelets and necklaces called “eleches” (e-leck-a’s). I don’t know the correct spelling. These are treated with blood and herb waters from the sacrifices. They always wear them. It’s a telltale sign even when they are not wearing their all white outfits. If you see a large group of people at a house or other gathering and many bongo/conga and other hand drums, this is an invitation inviting spirits. Stay away. They will sing and chant in very African type tribal music. This religion primarily came to the USAthrough the slave trade. When slaves were taken to Catholic areas like Cuba and Puerto Rico, they hid their religion so they would not be persecuted by the Church. It was common for a deity to be secretly worshipped masked as an idol for a specific Catholic saint. When the church found out what was happening, they turned a blind eye. The result of this was a MASS spread ofSanteria through Hispanic culture.
This is interesting. Having lived in many rural areas, as well as large cities, in Northern and Southern California, I have never heard of nor witnessed any of this.
Also, insense, bottles of Rum, cigars, sage, rosary beads, tarot cards and candles are definitely signs of Santeria. You know those tall, cylindrical shaped glass candles you see at dollar stores? They will have Catholic images or Mary, etc? Red flags! Before I was born again, I was present at a ritual because it was at my house through relatives. This type of meeting is called a “misa” (meese-uh). One of the elders or high ranking members will drink rum and smoke cigar in a circle of other members. They believe this is a protection circle. This elder will go into a trance and channel a demonic entity that has been chosen as their guardian/orisha. Sometimes it is claimed to be a deceased ancestor. This persons voice and demeanor will change and they will often have eyes closed. Advice is given to many or all the members while they are a part of this circle. What is shown in movies is not too far from reality. This is an informal ritual that does not require any sacrifices, but a bowl of rum may be passed around for every to share a drink from. I have declared spiritual war on the demons propagating this religion. I could use any prayers you can send my way. It is a disease. It spreads exactly how this young lady said. Ancestral worship through guilt, pressure and fear. It’s like a religious “pyramid scheme”. Instead of money, it’s people. A clever scheme to entrap and enslave people to continue a cycle of worship, works and worst of all, recruitment. All done in secrecy

As a Hispanic catholic, I can tell you that Santeria isn’t approved by the Catholic Church. They may use the saints but they’re not the same saints that Catholics are accused of worshipping (we don’t worship saints nor does the Catholic Church make it a requirement to worship saints or Mary). I’m Puerto Rican & my grandmother was a Catholic who practiced Santeria.
My mom experienced a lot of demonic activity as a little girl, & to some degree so did I. Because of the demonic activity that my mom was experiencing, a Santera told my grandmother that my mom had a gift to communicate with spirits & she advised her to get all red curtains all over the home. My to mom was always attracted to Jesus since there were pictures of Jesus around the house along with all kinds of statues. My grandmother would visit witchcraft stores called “botanicas”. I would sometimes go with her but I hated it. It was dark & smelled like incense. There were TONS of idols.
My grandmother had kid size statues of Tribal Indians; I didn’t like them at all. She lit candles to the “Catholic saints” and would teach me about some curses on a low level. She was not as heavily into it as many others, nevertheless she carried false ideologies of provision & protection almost until her death.
About two months before she died, the Lord sent me to her to witness one last time to put her faith in Jesus alone. We had a wonderful time in the word and in prayer where she brought her fears before the Lord and she cried and prayed with me. Before I left I seen a cup of water that she had by her door and I asked her why she had that cup and she said that it was so that the evil spirits will not enter into her home. And I told her that only Jesus can protect her and that the Lord did not want her to have that cup there because she’s putting her faith in something that cannot help her and that is false. She called me not long after I left to tell me that she would appreciate if I wouldn’t discourage her regarding where her faith was. I just tried to reassure her that I love her and that I know that Jesus is the only one that can save her and protect her and that she needed to put her faith in him alone. Little did we both know that a couple of weeks later she would be diagnosed with terminal cancer. About six weeks from then she passed away BUT… there was a moment about two weeks before she passed away where I seen her and she grabbed my hand tightly before I left and she told me “I want you to know that I threw out that water and then I put my faith in Jesus the way that you told me to” and she mentioned that He was in her heart & I could see so much peace in her face. There’s some other really cool testimonies about her and the Lord before she passed away and I absolutely believe that she is with the Lord and I know that He so faithfully sent me to her before she passed away to do business with God ♥️🙌🏼

When I accepted Christ, I still had a hard time fighting demons and heavy spiritual warfare. My neighbour was a Santeria priestess. She did rituals and had peoole.coming to her house at all sorts of hours through the night. There were many people in my home church that would speak in tongues every time we had service, as soon as they stepped out to testify. Maybe God wants to show you something in the scriptures. I'm now deep into my 9th study of the whole, complete Bible. Just start at the beginning with "In the beginning" and read as much as the spirit leads you to read each day, unless he leads you to read some other part.
Another thing I love to do is to just go out and mow the grass or bush hog my land, because out there, it's just God and me. And I can think and pray for hours alone, because I've learned that no one in my family is going to come out there and help me! 😁😂😁

Renting homes/ apartments, buying things from the thrift store, accepting gifts from certain people (I don’t mean to sound paranoid but I know what I’m talking about, I know people that are actively involved in this practice and they confirm these areas that they use for personal evil gain). Can confirm that what she shared is correct. I knew someone who wore white for a few days, would pray to “God”, openly admitted to practicing Santeria, and admitted that it gave him so much so “why would I quit?”. He would also say that he would find snakes in the basement and that Orisha was someone who was there to protect that he never used it for evil, only good.

Response: I do the same at any place I know I'm going to sleep at (hotel, visiting friends/family, etc). One of my nightly ritual is to have my phone or tablet set to read the bible all night when I go to bed. Much better than listening to music all night.

I watched a TV show a few months ago where a lady was flipping a house. The rooms and decor of the home had to be arranged in a particular way to harmonize the energy of the home with the home owner. My family is part Fijian and I also slept with the covers over my head growing up, even in summer. My mum thought the Anglican Church would provide some protection, but it’s very similar to Catholicism and nobody knows the Holy Spirit, who drove out the familiar spirits when I was an adult. If God tells them to leave, they cannot stay.

I'm in the middle of my conversion from protestantism to catholicism, but there are things in catholicism like altars, consecration to saints, blessed objects (sacraments) that to me, they just are too similar with witchcraft (or what I heard about witchcraft).

I am from Puerto Rico and to add a little about all this, it is a African religion camouflaged with catholic church saints (santos) images and that's why it is called Santeria. During the day the priest though the african slaves on the island were worshiping, for example Virgin Mary, when in reality was one of their deities...Ochun I think. I even used to see watermelon offerings at the beach sometimes.
At night, specially after midnight, the real group rituals beging as I used to see them when I was a kid. Other images or deities from other cultures were added throw the years. Nothing to do with Christianity. Just another Catholicism mixed with other things like Santa Muerte in Mexico, and others.

I don’t know if this would help her, but covering my hair when I pray and read my Bible made a huge difference spiritually. One of those differences is that it gave me an authority around people that work for the dark side. I remember giving Bible studies to a witch and she would mention it more than once. She would say things and somehow mention something about me converting my head. People that would be with me and come around her would ask me what I was doing for protection because they would feel evil around her and her migraines and other attacks physically. I never felt anything. I’d step in and give her her Bible studies. She didn’t get baptized but she did accept our Bible studies and came to church at least once. But anyway, I started to cover my head when I read 1 Corinthians 11 and somehow I just understood the power of a headcovering for a woman in a while different level. I really felt God was asking me to wear one. Now I love it! I have different colors and sometimes wear it full time. I just love ❤️ it!

This testimony is so powerful. It was definitely a blessing. I have experienced some demonic things as well. I would say I was introduced to Jesus (the truth) December 2021 after watching from Babylon to America. As of last month I fully surrendered my life to God. I attended SDA church on Sabbath and my son goes to an sda school.

She and i went through so much in common in regards to Santeria. I never practiced it but my dad and abuela did and wreaked havoc in our home and our lives. That room or alter was in our home too. Sickening.

My mom and aunt deceived me into going to a Cuban witch doctor. They told me he was some sort of doctor who could cure all disease. They needed a ride so I took them. When I got there he had a whole bunch of idols and dolls around the room. He would throw these shells in the table and try to predict my life, which he didn't really do well, I just agreed with his prediction. I knew he was a charlatan but my mom and aunt believe in this stuff. He also did the sacrificing the chicken ritual. It's disgusting. I tell my mom but she refuses to believe this is bad. She believes in all sort of spirituality and yes, she was brought up catholic. Even though I went to a mass with her where the priest said that going to psychics and having amulets is wrong, she doesn't listen. I read the whole Bible and realized how messed up everything is. I told my parents, but they refuse to believe that the Catholic Church could do any harm. They say the Catholic Church is the church formed by Jesus Christ and the Catholic church is the final authority. I tell them what the Bible says, and they dismiss it. They tell me to talk to a priest, that I don't understand it. My family is so gone. I was saddened at first, but my faith in God is so strong, that I have learned to deal with it. I prayed for them, but they don't change their ways.

I was attacked by the Jezebel spirit years ago so I have a sensitivity to that spirit and I can feel it as soon as somebody comes in the room who is being attacked by it. When I look at their EYES the “feeling” gets very intense and I have to look away. It happened in church while I was singing in the choir one Sunday. A man from another church came in and man oh man it was not a fun feeling. I realized that day what it was. Now I recognize it anytime someone around me is “infected” by that spirit. My daughter also has great discernment, especially with objects. And yes, demons are attached to specific injects sometimes. We had a Pokémon card years ago still in the house and when I was telling my son about how the people making the cards purposefully put curses on some, the tv and cable both came on at the same time. I was told it was the demon showing itself. We also had a statue that had a demon attached to it. The fertility statue. I liked African art. My daughter couldn’t walk out in the living room at night. Once it was gone she could tell me it was the statue. It’s no joke.

I can absolutely relate to this! I used to get sleep paralysis and nightmares almost every night because I was tampering with things related to the occult. God freed me in the name of Jesus. When they ask what the payoff is in sin, drugs alcohol sex etc. the payoff is, the feeling of RELIEF that we’re SEEKING, but it’s not real it’s a lie. What were really searching for is the presence of Jesus in our lives because only HE can give us that love and peace that we actually need. It’s real and doesn’t just last a moment then turn on you like sin does.
You guys should research santeria. Some of the info is off. Santeria like Voodoo comes from Africa. It was practiced by slaves. In Cuba they would not allow the slaves to practice their religion so they would hide their Idols of worship in Catholic saint Icons/Statues. This is where it got the name Santeria. Its not that the religions were truly combined.

My mom and aunt deceived me into going to a Cuban witch doctor. They told me he was some sort of doctor who could cure all disease. They needed a ride so I took them. When I got there he had a whole bunch of idols and dolls around the room. He would throw these shells in the table and try to predict my life, which he didn't really do well, I just agreed with his prediction. I knew he was a charlatan but my mom and aunt believe in this stuff. He also did the sacrificing the chicken ritual. It's disgusting. I tell my mom but she refuses to believe this is bad. She believes in all sort of spirituality and yes, she was brought up catholic. Even though I went to a mass with her where the priest said that going to psychics and having amulets is wrong, she doesn't listen. I read the whole Bible and realized how messed up everything is. I told my parents, but they refuse to believe that the Catholic Church could do any harm. They say the Catholic Church is the church formed by Jesus Christ and the Catholic church is the final authority. I tell them what the Bible says, and they dismiss it. They tell me to talk to a priest, that I don't understand it. My family is so gone. I was saddened at first, but my faith in God is so strong, that I have learned to deal with it. I once prayed Psalm 91 to rebuke an evil spirit that my mom invited into our house with one of her rituals. I could sense the evil. After I prayed, I felt better and the evil was gone. Santeria uses Catholic images and has absolutely no grounding in Catholic Christian teaching. None. It is condemned by the Catholic Church. It is a cultural practice that uses religious symbols to make it more “palatable” or relatable (taking religious images familiar to Latino communities like Saints or the rosary or the Bible) but let’s call it what it is - talking to demons.
Saints are people in Heaven who we ask to pray for us. That’s it. Just like a person asks a friend to pray for them on earth; we ask friends in Heaven to pray for us. You can go your whole life as a Catholic and pray directly to God, never to Saints, and be fine. It’s not a requirement of salvation.

I really want to mention how much this testimony has blessed me. You’ve showed that breaking
from family traditions and idol worship is possible and you can be free with Jesus. Thank you for your vulnerability. So many things I relate to in your testimony. The terrible nightmares, inability to sleep, not wanting to go to sleep, attack after attack. I experienced the shadow man too. I would tell people these stories and they wouldn’t understand! Wow I can relate to her on so many levels. Including never being able to sleep at night EVER. I don't know how I made it through school in childhood. Was raised in santeria my whole childhood. Nightmares when I did sleep. Molested by my babalao at the time. Constant torment. Being able to sense things that others can't also.

I have a very similar story to hers. I grew up in New York City and my family is still very heavily involved. I was raised Catholic but even when learning as a child I always noticed the inconsistencies within its own doctrine, such as the graven images. I believed in Jesus but I figured He was just unknowable since I observed the Catholics didn’t have it right. It didn’t make sense to me so I never took it seriously. But I also had a troubled childhood so growing up I was hungry for some sort of control over the chaos. I began doing the novellas and casting the spells to deepen my spirituality and influence and power, but as she said things began to get worse. So for every step forward there were ten steps backward. It didn’t take long for me doing these spells that I began to notice this trend and I gave that up and delved into different avenues of witchcraft. I used to have the crystals and tarot cards. And I also was very tormented. My bed would shake and I would have the craziest most frightening dreams. Life was terrible and I opened the Bible one day I began to read and a whole new world was shown to me. After that the world began to fall off of me little by little but the torment persisted. Even getting worse. I began to get rid of my occult tools. Burned books that didn’t serve Christ. It wasn’t until I became baptized that all of the torment stopped. Which makes sense in retrospect knowing that baptism is a public declaration of the internal change. So forsaking my past in baptism when I tell you I slept! I laughed when she said this bc man do I love to sleep now lol.

I can relate in a certain way to this story. I was born and raised in a Catholic family and my mother would go to a botanica and had an altar of Catholic saints and virgins and lit candles for each one. She would consult with the person at the botanica and would have her do rituals for different things my mother wanted. None of fhis worked as expressed in the video (because none of those things have real power to change your life, it's just a lie). So when I became an adult, as it was mentioned in this video, "I went back to what I knew" and wanted to do the same things as my mother did. But there was always that little voice telling me to not get involved and to stay away from botanicas, psychics, etc. Thank God I became involved at a Christian church and God exposed that everything else outside of God's Word is all pure lies that don't lead to anywhere else. While the Catholic Church has its weaknesses, it did feel a little anti-Catholic at some point. I went to Catholic schools in Cameroon and I was taught about Jesus, even if the Bible study culture was not that strong. There are some true treasures in the Catholic Church. A lot of the knowledge we have today in the church comes from Catholic saints like Augustine, Francis of Assisi, Teresa of Avila etc. As with any denomination, there's room for reform towards the truth.
In my opinion they are more into paganism than true Christianity. The worshipping/praying of idols and “saints” is not taught in the Bible. Nor worshipping Mary. Or needing to pray to Mary to get to Jesus. There is a lot of Catholic holidays that line up with old pagan rituals. The fact that the Pope is called the Holy Father is blasphemous in itself. I don’t mean to bash, but point out some points you may want to look up and see if what the Catholic Church does matches up with the Bible. A lot of my family are lost to the church and don’t want to see the truth. I pray for discernment for them to see. I apologize if this came across aggressive in any way.

I have relatives that are completely immersed in Santeria. I can tell you this: there are many forms and ways to practice this religion. There is no standard set of practices or beliefs, which makes it especially hard to recognize it. This young lady seems to have been exposed to a very “universal” form of Santeria. The version I am familiar with in California involves most influence from Mexico. Her version of it has roots from Puerto Rico. It comes from Africa, as she states, originally. The Yoruba tribe, West Africa IIRC. Depending on how much the local sect practicing it adheres to the African roots, will determine the style of worship and ceremonies. She referred to people as having a “guardian”, this is correct- the African term for this spirit/lesser deity than God is an “orisha”. Animal sacrifices include goats very commonly in rural California where I live. Chickens are convenient animals to sacrifice in secret and because they are dirt cheap. Generally, larger more valuable animals are used when possible for any initiation or baptism type ceremony. It is also true about the white/black magic. She uses the generic Spanish term “bruja” for dark witchcraft. The other term for this is called PALO (Paul-O). They are chosen by an elder/medium to go in this direction in the religion. They definitely know they are doing the more evil spells and rituals. The ritual of wearing white is also true to varying degrees. Devout believers will wear all white, head to toe. Hats, shoes, female head coverings- everything. They wear bead bracelets and necklaces called “eleches” (e-leck-a’s). I don’t know the correct spelling. These are treated with blood and herb waters from the sacrifices. They always wear them. It’s a telltale sign even when they are not wearing their all white outfits. If you see a large group of people at a house or other gathering and many bongo/conga and other hand drums, this is an invitation inviting spirits. Stay away. They will sing and chant in very African type tribal music. This religion primarily came to the USAthrough the slave trade. When slaves were taken to Catholic areas like Cuba and Puerto Rico, they hid their religion so they would not be persecuted by the Church. It was common for a deity to be secretly worshipped masked as an idol for a specific Catholic saint. When the church found out what was happening, they turned a blind eye. The result of this was a MASS spread ofSanteria through Hispanic culture.

They will have Catholic images or Mary, etc? Red flags! Before I was born again, I was present at a ritual because it was at my house through relatives. This type of meeting is called a “misa” (meese-uh). One of the elders or high ranking members will drink rum and smoke cigar in a circle of other members. They believe this is a protection circle. This elder will go into a trance and channel a demonic entity that has been chosen as their guardian/orisha. Sometimes it is claimed to be a deceased ancestor. This persons voice and demeanor will change and they will often have eyes closed. Advice is given to many or all the members while they are a part of this circle. What is shown in movies is not too far from reality. This is an informal ritual that does not require any sacrifices, but a bowl of rum may be passed around for every to share a drink from. I have declared spiritual war on the demons propagating this religion. I could use any prayers you can send my way. It is a disease. It spreads exactly how this young lady said. Ancestral worship through guilt, pressure and fear. It’s like a religious “pyramid scheme”. Instead of money, it’s people. A clever scheme to entrap and enslave people to continue a cycle of worship, works and worst of all, recruitment. All done in secrecy

As a Hispanic catholic, I can tell you that Santeria isn’t approved by the Catholic Church. They may use the saints but they’re not the same saints that Catholics are accused of worshipping (we don’t worship saints nor does the Catholic Church make it a requirement to worship saints or Mary). If a supposed catholic practice this evil sorcery witchcraft they’re not a true Christian.
