Carrera GO!!!

A couple of Christmases back I bought my Great Nephew a Carrera Go slot car track set. We set it up together and had a lot of fun with it, and it got me nostalgic to back when I was a kid and had a Tyco HO slot car set. So, I bought myself a Carrera Go set and built a 4x8 table for it. It was great, but I wished for more. The spare bedroom I set it up in is not very big, so the only way to get more table area was to make it a "L" shape. I bought a second track set to get more track and more cars, and then I bought some more track and accessories used off ebay. I now have TONS of extra track pieces. I will keep working on this as time and funds allow and will upload more videos as work progresses.

Put some wires from the power track, straight too the point furthest away, makes the speed the same on the whole track

Hello friend! I am expecting my Carrera Go set to arrive today, it’s “out for deliver.” It feels like Christmas morning in a way, I hope it arrives early and not 9pm. Time will tell. I grew up with the Aurora sets of the 60s. I don’t know how or why, but I started seeing slot car videos on my RUclips recommendations a few days ago and they brought back so many memories, and I can actually remember the distinct scents that are associated with running these cars. I bought the smallest kit, I think only 11’ of track, but it’s a start. If it turns out I truly enjoy this and want to get into again, I’ll look to expand and see which scale/track I want to go with. I subscribed to your channel and I’m looking forward to seeing how you’re already awesome layout looks as you continue to add and create. I think the design part and building is as much fun as running the cars. The old yellow guardrails bring back memories too, I can’t believe you still have them. I’m also wondering if they fit on this track. I used to have a ton of the grey supports for elevating track. Ok, nice job! Show more!

Nice im 30 and just got back into slot cars again I got the afx ho scale track I got the biggest track they make it's 80 feet of track two lane ho scale it came with two mega g plus cars the F1 type cars and they haul the mail I just got a adjustable power supply in and controllers that you can adjust ohms and breaking and throttle response and all that so you can run different types of motors and cars on the track cuse the mega g plus run on a 112 ohm and other types run on lower ohms to run properly, I got ho cuse the Carrera type stuff takes up a lot of room it looks like to build a decent size 4 lane and scenery and all that I just finished my 4 lane setup with the racing lines being a total of 165 feet around the track now time to start building scenary for it and I'm also building a 1/43 and 1/32 scale routed 6 lane banked oval track for oval racing it's pretty big and gonna be fun and then I'm gonna make a 1/24 scale slot true 1/4 mile scale length drag strip for 1/24 scale drag racing.

Hello, you say that you bought 2 sets, my question is... Can 4 cars race on the same track?

Bought two sets for the extra cars and track, but it is still only two lanes wide with two car controllers able to connect to it, so you could only use two cars at a time.

I have the same set and because it is not digital Carrea told me the bigger I make the track the slower things will become. How much total feet is your track. It seemed in video that it was very slow in long straight?

Yeah, I will probably end up setting it up with some sort of higher amperage power supply, but the cars still fly when you use the turbo boost button. Not sure of the total track length, haven't figured it. I haven't had much extra money to spare lately, so haven't done much with it, but I will get back on it one of these days.
