I'm about to start building a stretched pocket bike, converted from 49cc two stroke to E85 212 hemi with a turbo and eventually Nitrous. Going to try and make a few of the TOMB races this year, though I see it being a lot of learning the bike.
Great video. Looks like a blast. I ride my mini bike in the Great North Woods. Northern vermont. Im trail legal up here. Trails close nov1st though. I need a sled for the winter. My fav drag race was you riding wheelies. Haha. God bless 💗🙏💗
Yeah! Its really fun to ride mini bikes on the trails. That drag race was scary, i was only blipping the throttle for half the race until I could go wide open, but by then it was too late. Next time will be a bit better.
I just subscribed, enjoying all the minibike content. Any reason you don't see more Baja Warriors at these events? Maybe it's just me but they don't seem popular with this crowd.
I have a stage 3 plus with a torque converter I just put on my mb200 and this bike is frightening. I feel like it would do really well in the drag race. It'll rip the front wheel up at speed all day long. Just a built homelite 196.
Power to weight ratio. The best mod most of these guys could do is to install a 85 pound 14 year old and ditch the 275 pound rider. No machine work, free.
DOOOD, this is REAL COOL, but... dang ol one i got pull the front tire off the line, up da whole way. Full wheelie bars on the back a must just so it dont flppidy flip it . ANYTHING over idle is one wheel bound!!! Dont know a time or speed but wfo, by the way it look its waaaay toooo fast for any them dust sniffers.
I own a 1968 Taco 99. Got it from the original owner who's folks bought it for him new, Christmas, 1967. I've modified it but it's still running the original 5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine. Smokes a bit today. Lots of miles and memories on this little guy!
What was your favorite mini bike of the drag race? Do you think you could hang with any of these mike bikes? Check out the TOMB facebook page facebook.com/groups/1551572811793734/
on my 30 series torque converter. i need to change the sprockets for a science fair project and i need to know if the sprockets are a 3/4" bore or a 5/8" bore
Some bolts backed out on my 212 predator and I lost a lot of oil I damage the motor a little bit, I bought new Rod bearings how do I check the clearance while the crank is still inside the block, and what are the chances of things going well if I just throw them in
@@KartFab I picked up all the parts I needed and all the tools to measure that bike is better than it ever will be, thanks for commenting and be safe these little bikes are very twitchy
It trips me out when I sent someone that has a riding lawn mower smooth tire on their mini bike and they try to do a burnout to get the tire hot like the big pro drag bikes and they are not going to need to get the tire hot because those tires are not designed to do that they are not going to be any more stickier hot then they are cold they are a different rubber compound and not designed to do that I have a mini drag bike and I have a mickey Thompson Jr dragster rear tire designed for it
Mine will do almost 60 like right now. It's on a torque converter with a 60t rear so like 57-60 is about all I can do. But with the 50t I have it would probably go a TON faster. I took the homelite that was on my bike when I picked it up (locked up when I got it) did billet rod, pvl flywheel, thin head gasket, big jet kit, 1.3 ratio rockers, governor removal, big cam, governor gear pulled off crank and 18lb springs. The bike is nearly unusable. You need to be leaning all the way forward until you get about 3/4 through the rev range or once it starts singing it'll rip the front wheel off the ground at like 30+mph. It's a big old mb200 too. That engine is hot hot. Would be awesome in a kart. It's too much for a bike though. I'm leaving it, however.
I’ve got some buddies out there in west Texas building their mini bikes. I’m trying to get into building one now as well. But I’m more southeast central Texas.
its a kids toy, once you get adults on them racing it kills the spirit of fun and adventure of the memories i had as a kid in my county riding ! but i digress fun is fun.
Instead of having a flag man, have him use a flashlight. Keeps anyone from “not seeing”. The start. Great vlog, great racing, thanks for sharing. I subbed and a high five!
So how do you know what's a big block? I get the difference, I know stuff like a 212 is small block and stuff like a 420 is big block, but what's the line?
+KadenzKustomz the physical block mounting size. That’s pretty much it. Regular blocks have a standard pattern from the little 2 hp all the way up to some of the older tecumsehs that were 10 hp. Predator 212 is pretty much the small block, and anything bigger (gx270, predator 301) is kind of the smaller sized big blocks. Honda gx340, 390, predator 420 are big blocks tgat most refer to. Also the big block 449, 460, and now even 500cc are around but not predator. Then the v twins like Briggs vanguard, Honda gx610-690, and the predator 670.

How is it going
@@bigyou3136 that project got sidelined, have five bikes (one is "done") lol, two go karts, two quads, and two razor scooters this past year...😆😂🤣
I wish you would’ve cover the winners bike in detail. Good video !
Need to have a bikini chick dropping the flag
You need to put them in there classes with each other
l totally need to start or find a mini bike club in Iowa. looked awesome kart fab.
Thanks!
Same, but in South Dakota
If only we had this in the UK!

If you can find them, we definitely do!

Anyone know where I can get one of these frames in Australia, I have a 212 engine.
email gopowersports and ask if they ship. IIRC they will ship to most 1st world countries via fedex international.
is the jackshaft on the 30 series torque converter 5/8 or 34"?
+BackYard Karts it can be either one. Standard size is 5/8”
3/4. 5/8 is only used on original old style Minnie's
I just subscribed, enjoying all the minibike content. Any reason you don't see more Baja Warriors at these events? Maybe it's just me but they don't seem popular with this crowd.
The Baja warriors aren’t as easy to handle. The bikes that consistently win are usually ones with thinner tires.
KartFab that's good info, thanks for the reply.
Looks like an awesome event! We've got to get Cars and Cameras to organize one here in NC!
Just take a road trip down to Texas :-)
+KartFab are you going to build a drag mini bike with a slick, wheelie bar etc?
+22mswartz I’m going to keep modifying the one I have (Baja warrior)
Got my team ready 👿 we racing for nothing less than 1000🤢
