I painted a calming ocean/sky painting using a photograph where the sky and water are almost equal. I wish I had included a pterodactyl .

An ex of mine always looked at my paintings and told me they would be improved by a pterodactyl. I think we can all agree he was right :-)

Very well done! I gained a better understanding of how our gaze travels through a painting or drawing.

its good to be reminded of all of this. Simple when explained but easy to forget when actually setting up

Excellent explanation of composition rules and when & how to break them. The visuals you used to illustrate key points (little man, dinosaur, hens etc) were effective and more whimsy, HELD my attention. Thanks.❤

Oh 😊wow this was a great humorous way of explaining composition in paintings. It really helped me to understand how things that used to give me trouble with my own compositions are supposed to work out. Thank you for sharing this wonderful knowledge with us!

Excellent video Michelle. I've realised I need to work on my composition skills and while I knew some of these principles, some I had only heard of but not really understand, or not known the why. I also really appreciate how you showed us ways to break some of the rules and still make it work. Thank you so much for making and sharing this video.

Thank you Michele, your video made a big difference! I was wondering if you could also include, maybe sometime in the future about painting right in the center of the paper. Bob Ross always explained about staying out of the center.

Thank you for the demonstration it is funny how distracting some of the poor design elements can be. I want to get to the point where I can break some composition rules not there yet. I will stick closer to rules and add more dinosaurs and chickens. Peace, love and good karma to all.
