Right =1 Assembly LLC is the BEST!!!! They are so kind, professional, respectful and do an amazing job! June 2022 they drive all the way from Maryland to Virginia Beach to assemble my son's basketball hoop. The first day they dug the hole and concreted the base. They returned in five days and assembled the rest of the hoop and I am very much satisfied and pleased with their work. Amazing job for sure!!!

Be cautious, the hole they dug in this video is not nearly deep enough and they didn't use enough concrete. In this video they used 4 80lb bags (320lbs) to secure a 760lb basketball goal that has a 4 ft offset. Imagine the strain on the base if a 200lb man dunks and hangs on the rim. 960lbs pulling laterally on a 320lb base.... I just dug one for my kids, took 18 -80lb bags (1440lbs) to fill the 20x20x48" hole and by my math I was short half a bag....if that form breaks and you goal shatters, I doubt it's covered....hope they did a better job than this video

I thought hole had to 20x20 and 48 inch deep and use about 20 bags of concrete

It does, I used 28 bags 60# sacrete. The rebar should be suspended in the concrete. Homeowner got shafted here.

I just did mine, 20x20 square hole 4 feet deep. Took 19 bags of 80 lb quickcrete. The hole in this video looks very small compared to the hole I dug, which is what megaslam recommended

Definitely can see some long term problems with that amount of concrete.

@leov36 I just did mine and it only took 18 bags....think my hole may have not been perfect, but it was waaaaay better than 4 - 80LB BAGS OF CONCRETE

For anyone with the Megaslam XL with its 5’ overhang, what is the furthest back you can put the post? That is, to have as much play area as possible in front of the rim without having the ball land out of bounds after going through the net? Hope that makes sense.

That whole isn’t nearly deep enough 😮

You needed a bigger hole and more concrete

I came to the comments this....I just finished one for my boys for Christmas....no way that is a 20x20x48 inch hole...the goal weighs 760lbs....hope he used more 80lb bags than that picture showed...the plans say 20-22 bags, my math came out to 18.5 (I'm sure they had extra so you didn't run short and not have a monolithic pour) and it took me 17.75 so my hole obviously wasn't perfect...the fact that I could see his rebar that close to the surface tells me that hole ain't close to deep enough
Edit: just looked again, 320 pounds of concrete to hold a 760lb goal that could potentially have a 200lb man dunking at a 4ft offset...gonna break
