I’ve been clearing all shrines for this and it made me realize how tedious and repetitive these shrines are and some are impossible to find without using a guide.
I spent like 20 mins looking around the og temple of time, I thought that having it there would be cool as this is probably the last time we will be in this hyrule, so it’d be cool to come back to where we started

@Big Tone The reason I think it's the hero from 10,000 years ago is the skin color and the hair color. Rauru skin was green but not THAT green. His hair is white in all the cutscenes, but this is red, just like in the tapestry. Ganondorf said that his people (Zonai) had disappeared many years ago but lightly implyed that he and his sister showed up randomly. So it's possible that Zonai can show up when they need to? The last clue is in the name "Ancient hero." Rauru was a king, so calling him a hero is a bit of a downgrade. it was supposed to go to him, shouldn't it be called "Ancient King"? Yes, I recognize that this is solely on semantics but still bit of an odd description if it's supposed to be Rauru.
Btw knights armor and zonai armor or smth idk the name fully upgraded has the same defense so if you want a good armor set just fully upgrade the zonai armor bc it also makes it so you loose less battery
It’s confirmed that 10,000 years before Breath of the Wild, the hero who wielded the Master Sword and fought beside the princess and Divine Beasts to defeat Calamity Ganon was a Zonai this was most likely that links outfit as it matches the one in the mural which explains the same situation
I grinded this armor out over a few days also, but it makes a much nicer end-game reward. By the end game the armor rating is much lower than many other already-upgraded sets, but the best part is the collecting of upgrade materials. In order to upgrade, you have to defeat many increasingly strong and rare enemies, and I think the armor power-increase compliments the players combat increase very well. 😚 One could also just dupe all the necessary materials, but that definitely makes Link overpowered much earlier. 😅

Personally, with zero further information or hints, I think this is what Sonia's and Rauru's offspring began to look like. Then slowly the Zonai aspect was bred out, yknow, since there were no more.
This must mean, botw/totk takes place in a 4th timeline parallel to the downfall timeline. In which the zonai descend from the sky, founding hyrule. Seal the ganondorf of the timeline and have a zonai seal calamity ganon 10000 years ago.
If you wear the Zonai armor and speak to Tauro head of the Zonai Survey Team, his reaction is this "The Hero? The ANCIENT Hero??" pretty cool. the hero who sealed calamity 10, 000 years ago.
I'm going to take his "16 hours" comment literally and believe that he woke up, immediately started playing, and at the 16 hour mark, immediately went to sleep like he shut down for 8 hours, then woke up and started playing again. No showers, no getting up to go to the bathroom. Just sitting there playing.
152 shrines. That makes for 38 upgrades. Subtract 10 for max stamina wheels, we have 28 left for hearts. Add your base 3 hearts and 6 temple reward hearts, and 1 side quest reward, we get 38 hearts in total, out of a possible maximum of 40. You're missing two hearts, just like in DLC BOTW. Edit: I wasn't aware of the one extra heart container you get through a side quest. I fixed it.
There is actually one extra heart container available in the game through an arduous but pretty enjoyable sidequest, and the other two open slots for heart containers / stamina vessels may be open for the inevitable DLC
If you level that up all the way, the defense is crazy! Like, you'll only take 4 heart damage against a silver lyenel and a quarter heart damage against a regular lyenel.
For short yes and it’s a rauru costume and gives the same stats as full zonaite armor when fully upgraded which is good to know but quite a hassle for essentially the same thing comment inspired by the shorts speed runner joe cain
You joke that he's a furry but I havnt played this one yet and THIS link shows they got something in the works as far as lore which is always interesting to read or play because they'll have to largely have these beings in the lore going forward, like the chicken people in twilight princess, or how if memory serves the "original" link was a mercenary in the origin comic over a decade ago.
This thing is a pain to upgrade because it needs nine of the horns of every silver monster(bokoblin, moblin, lizalfos, and lynel), nine guts of each organic boss (Hinox, Frox, Molduga, and Gleeok), and to top it off, a bunch of large zonaite. So far the hardest part is the gleeok guts because they're a pretty rare drop from any gleeok but a king.
@@blu7384 It's almost the same. But it also gives a master sword beam bonus which means it's basically the of the wild set in one piece. Not only that, (spoilers for final battle) I find it amusing to use in the final battle since it gives a massive 84 armor and when the final cutscene plays where Link's shirt and headpiece are removed, it removes the entire armor set. So basically the first thing Zelda sees after millennia of being a dragon is Link in nothing but his underwear. And I'm sure she appreciates that.

So far the hardest part is the gleeok guts because they're a pretty rare drop from any gleeok but a king.

@@blu7384 It's almost the same. But it also gives a master sword beam bonus which means it's basically the of the wild set in one piece. Not only that, (spoilers for final battle)
I find it amusing to use in the final battle since it gives a massive 84 armor and when the final cutscene plays where Link's shirt and headpiece are removed, it removes the entire armor set. So basically the first thing Zelda sees after millennia of being a dragon is Link in nothing but his underwear. And I'm sure she appreciates that.
Rocket shield or fire with pinecones makes Gleeok battles trivial though. Killed a gloom King Gleeok just to get the treasure out of curiosity.
@@manuelgarciajr5308 I never said gleeok fights weren't easy once you know how to handle them. I just said it's annoying to reload a fight just because it didn't drop its guts this time. But I did end up getting them a while ago so it's fine now.

If Nintendo didn't have such a problem with modders, I'd likely mod the reward to be that it lets you play OoT within the game, cuz I'm old.
