just got myself a pair love them. NOTES TO THOSE WHO WANT TO BUY THEM! I HIGHLY ADVISE YOU TO USE THE 1IN BOLTS FROM YOUR RACK TO STABLIZE THE ARMS BETTER TO YOUR RACK SO IT DOSENT MOVE. it's a pain to unscrew the washers of the bolts to lower the arms down, but its not a huge issue, it makes it so much more stable. I also put 1in bolts in the handles so that way their is no slack when you move the handles on the arms. I also replaced the small rubber ring on the weight horn with a thicker ring so that way the plates on the ground don't hit the rack itself. 10/10 for the price worth every Pennie. I have a PR5000 rack from REP and yes it can be used inside a "41"rack, it's as close as it gets, but no rubbing or hitting.
Hey Mike, I’m fresh out of surgery. Broke my wrist skating, on the road to recovery. I wouldn’t say they’re essential but definitely not overrated. One of the safer options I would say, no spotter required. Stay well, god bless bro.
Sorry to hear that my friend. Are you a skateboarder? I’d love to get into one of those hobbies, but I know it would be a matter of time until I’d be in surgery. God bless to you as always, brother.
i think attachments like these are very cool and just the beginning. i expect future modified shapes that act more like hammer strength machines: chest flutes, presses etc. while i haven't yet gotten some, planning to, I think a different type of metal might be the solution to what alot of ppl complain about or at least a different mounting mechanism. most complaints out there are that they're too heavy and that the take too long to set up. maybe some sort of aluminum profile? i don't know but it'll happen
@@ckPinson-n4j I just reviewed this major fitness rack that came along with some lever arms, and those were surprisingly very light and also extremely versatile
noted. i'm kinda stuck in this rogue, bells, rep thing. rogue/bells rack stuff and rep bench. i found out the bolt fitness leg extension fits the rep bench so i may go that route for that but i would like some lever arms. considering something like crandall fitness ones. i'm not sure yet
@@ckPinson-n4j very funny you mentioned that because I was just talking to someone today who said they bought the griddle insert instead of a Blackstone
Thanks Mike, I plan on getting jammer arms but I've got the REP PR-5000 rack with their Ares 2.0 cable system coming. I'm looking for the converging (free motion) feature with horizontal and vertical locking points. Also want something that integrates with a pulley and that's quick/easy to attach/detach (fine with leaving the trolleys on and just removing the arms). Thought PRx would deliver on that but they crapped the bed so now I'm waiting for the Bulletproof arms that are due out soon.
@@hybridresistance lol yeah been looking at jammer arms for awhile so what I'm looking for is a culmination of feedback from a lot of rack owners with a cable system. No one wants to deal with taking them on/off if they're a PITA to do it, so an integrated option is huge. It addresses the resistance curve while also turning your rack/cables into a FreeMotion machine set up. 💪
Are they essential? No. Are they a good option? Yes, just depends on if you want to part with the money for them. The most important thing I've learned using them is to have a plan and structure for them. If you go into your workout randomly deciding to use the arms out of nowhere you will be frustrated. I have certain workout days where I include them and I mostly get them set up in the correct location before I begin working.
Great video Mike. So I have the PRX Performance Fold In Squat Rack that has 2x3” beams with 5/8” holes - do you know if there are any lever arms like the one featured in your video that will connect to a 2x3 frame? I haven’t been able to fine any. Thanks!
I saw one on Amazon, but it got bad reviews. I don’t know if they have stopped my head. I’d likely would just be Google searching though. Appreciate you watching as always, Larry
These look better because they are adjustable with the grip and the Vendetta Style posts. I have a Titan T3 rack, and I got the Lever Arms off of marketplace for pretty cheap. I don't use them as much as possible because the handle doesn't move at all, and it's inconvenient to set up and takedown. If I am doing lever arm stuff, I will use hammock straps attached to eye bolts in my rack because they are easier to set up and store away. If I had these I may use them more. They can at least stay on the rack out of the way which makes set up not as annoying.
isolated cable rows feel better on my functional trainer compared to lever plate load machines. lever arms can be replaced with barbell/dumbbell movements.
I’ll likely make a full comparison in the future when they release the full lat package. It’s not really a fair one to to one comparison, but if you’re just doing basic lever exercises and don’t want a dedicated machine, then the some simple jammer arms might be the way to go. Another way to look at it is that these cheap arms would be a good way of assessing how much you would value the function of a dedicated machine.
I actually got a new rack (force usa x15) which uses a different type of lever arm and also use my Quantum Trainer. So these particular ones are collecting dust. However without those other ones, I'd for sure still be using these.
They come with these plastic bumpers, but I took them off. You can see little shots of it in the video. I didn't find them necessary and also wanted more space at the end for the handles.
@@hybridresistance Thanks, but I think you misunderstood the question. I'm talking about where the bracket connects to the upright. Not the handle end with the bumper. Is it lined with anything that wraps around the upright? At the point where you adjust the arms up and down
If you mean on the inside of the areas that pins to the rack, I'm honestly not sure. I'll have to check when I get back home. But I don't think so. However, I noticed no scraping whatsoever on the rack for whatever that's worth.
@@Dadbodsteve1516 I think they may, but I can’t say for certain. I think they would but you would have to make sure to add some extra weight on a weight horn to load down the machine. Obviously you have to be careful.

Check out Kaizen/gym pin lever arm adapters that allow them to swivel inwards and outwards with 5 locked positions. They may not be compatible with these arms though. Great review!

They are overrated. Lever arms are o.k., but just o.k. If I had to do it again, I would have just bought hammock straps and used them like lever arms.

Very versatile, but seems to be just too much set up time for me.
looks like it forces you to start bench press from the bottom position which makes them useless for benching. so there's that lol.

Lever arms suck, waist of money and potentially dangerous
