The transformations this track has undergone is amazing. From the version on "Felt" to "Spaces" and now this. It feels like encouragement to pianists everywhere to explore his pieces for themselves and try things out.
I love how Familiar is slowly mutating and evolving with every show! The version I have from February 2018 at the Barbican is even better than this one, which is hard to believe. =D Nils is a truly creative musician who doesn’t allow himself to stagnate. Very impressive!

The version i heard last weekend at the Philharmonic in Munich was almost a bit scary and it's been haunting me ever since.
