  • Trying to catch up on leatherwork!! I'm WAY behind!! Here is a handmade, basket stamped, leather pancake style holster. Made from chestnut colored saddle skirting leather, tanned in the USA.
As you will see, having the gun to fit the holster, is very important!!
I hope you will enjoy seeing what go's into making one of these. If you are wanting to make your own, I hope this will help out. ENJOY and THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Thank you Bob. I have had a lot of practice. I started leatherwork off and on since the 1970's when my Folks bought me a Tandy Leather kit for Christmas. I didn't get into it too much though until about 1988. Since then, I've made hundreds of holsters, and about 30 saddles. I enjoy it, but being this far behind, and having folks mad at me for not getting things done, sure takes the fun out of it. Everyone thinks we put them in there, but we don't. You tube does that. Years ago, I tried making holsters mail order.....that didn't work! Unless I have the gun to fit it, I really can't do it. I found out fast that there are a lot of guns I have never heard of!! If it's one I have, or can borrow, I can do it. This one belongs to one of our retired Sheriff's.
