Yep, that’s exactly how I do mine. I made a lot of hats before I found how to end it this way. It blends so well. Only difference is I’m to lazy to get a needle, so just use my hook to feed it through.

I've been crocheting granny squares for a bag I'm making & this is how i end my granny square. I guess this will create the perfect amount of stitches for when I join the squares..... Love this technique. Thanks Crystal... x
