In the modern days, all of us have been focusing too much on how gentleman a guy is or should be. Meanwhile, feminism has gradually become a popular topic, a trend, and eventually developed into a misconception. That is, misconceiving feminism, advocating women's rights, as being equal to acting and behaving manly. This might have earned them the respect, social status mobility, and gender equality women are longing for. However, all of those they earned are traded with the true treasure in women, intrinsic femininity.

Let me tell you guys something: Never, never, never and ever, date girls from English speaking countries like the USA, Canada, Australia and the UK. I know how the situation is like in the Western dating world because I'm living in Toronto, Canada. Too much of individualism and too little mutual understanding. I'm not trying to generalize all the girls from those countries, but it has just become a phenomenon. It's always nice to be a gentleman, but we also have to be smart and cautious about what these girls ACTUALLY want from us. As men, we pay on our dates because we want to be polite and let them know that we enjoy their company, but it doesn't mean our politeness is something that you can always take advantage of just because you feel like you're somewhat "entitled" as a girl. If I don't feel like my date wants to contribute anything to our relationship (let's say something she's capable of. It doesn't have to be the same amount of things that she cannot afford), but only free shit that she could get from our dates, then I'd never and ever date her again. Men, this world is changing, so are we. Be wise and don't let these double standards and social norms fool yourself.

You are right but you are also wrong. I see it as without mutual understanding and lack of individualism. If a girl who does not pay, means she is relying on you, which means she is not caring and lack of independent. I enjoy seeing girls face when I go to the counter when i say split. You guys have to be lucky to know that girls are not easy to understand, but you can easily check on their behavior simply by going to restaurant. It is the moment to decide if she is gf, temporary, or a wife. I even see girls willing to split right away before moving to the counter, girls have no idea how attractive is that lol. Many misconception of paying people= politeness, I just don't understand, you are just beginning to treat each other unequal, showing you are a higher status, you pay something for objects not for politeness..

I think men should pay on the first date ( first date is not equal to first meet) but not because of the child birth or period. That was exactly I told my bf at the beginning of our dating “ I will treat you like a king, and I expect you treat me like a queen”.
