When we read Col 1:15-17 we read that Mashayakh (Messiah) is the firstborn of every creature and by Him were all things created that are in heaven (Shamayam) and earth (Arats) visible and invisible.
By looking at these stand alone passages many conclude wrongly and that's why we have various false Bashurah's (Gospel's) floating around giving Mashayakh an image which He is not.
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible Alahayam, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
When we understand how the Sword of the Ruakh, i.e. The Dabar of Alahayam pierced Himself in externalizing a Son coming from His own substance and bearing His substance in a body prepared for Him and coming face to face with creation with the fullness of divinity bodily can we understand how He is before all things, and how by Him all things consist.
He was in the beginning (Barashayat or Genesis) but the substance was unknown, unrealized, unseen, unheard, invisible, untouched/examined until he came face to face with creation.
