Milliput: review and angle-poise lamp fix

Is Milliput any good for fixing? Here I try it out on a broken joint on an anglepoise lamp.

i'm going to say the putty is better for a quick fix on something like a surfboard to waterproof it or any situation where a quick fluid proof bung is needed - not this situation where structural strength is required
