I cant go along with saying Halie Selassie is God. He said himself that he was not. Jah, the God of Noah, Moses, David, Solomon, Jesus. That is who the Creator is. Selassie is to be praised as a great man, but he is not the Creator of the universe.

There are many teachings where HiM directs us towards the almighty and that we should not idolize HiM as the only true Elohim is Yah, but he never said those words. He was actually answering the question with a parable (just like Yeshua) stating: 'it would be a mistake for people to mistake a human being for a deity'' .

Selassie i was a Christian man who believed in the trinity and belonged to The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church and as Ethiopia's monarch, was Defender of the Church. He also sent a priest from this church to Jamaica to found Ethiopian Orthodoxy so people could be saved in the name of Jesus Christ. Bob Marley was baptized into this church 7 months before his death.

Those are fact but what those fact has to do about understanding rastafari sprituality? Ethiopian Christianity is an evolution of older African spiritual systems. First what the western world call animism which is the view that all things in the natural world is divine, then Judaism, the the belief of a messiah which led to the belief in Christ. The most ancient concept of God in Africa or the Nile valley civilizations is quite different from the way Christian’s see God today. Everything in the earth is divine plants animals and the earth itself. However man is the only creature that is divine and has the ability to choose evil. So went we as Africans see a human being that reaches the fullest potential that he/she can be a King. More so a godly one. We Africans deify them as living gods as we can recognize their godliness. It doesn’t matter what the person believes in we can recognize god. So understand we don’t see good as an imaginary man in the sky that create the entire universe. The universe is divine it has no beginning or end. The universe is truly God. Halie selassie is god because of his morality as a leader and King of Kings of the earth. The best ruler the earth ever had from the country that is the cradle and origin of life. There is no god in the way Christian’s see it but from our perspective there is the manifestation of the fullness of godliness in man.

Jamaican culture has now become a culture of just hyper-sexualisation. That is now their biggest export, directly and indirectly, the consumption and output of mere sex.
As when a society loses its spiritual centre, sex is always the spiritual outlet.
A cultures like Jamaica's that become over-sexualised, without the constraints of chastity and marriage always self-destruct within 3 generations, and stop producing things that reform themselves and the world for its benefits, such as art, science and philosophy (which Jamaica used to give to the world).

I feel like international corruption was what made selassie so prominent that since he was doing God work so well people just need a savior they can see to believe. And he gave them that. It may sound weird but I have a real desire to become Rasta, all in.
Reason with other Ras. Read about the different ways, the different organs see HIM. Read about Rasta history, listen to Rasta roots music. Eat less meat, more plant based food. Think positively about yourself and your future. Tune into nature, think in terms of self reliance. HIM and love are the highest. ❤💛💚

Christ/Yahshua had that same Spirit and He obey His Father's will who gives Him that Spirit. He even said no one should call Him good, only His Father alone is good.

Not all Rasta see HIM as god. Nyahbhingi and Bobo Shanti mansions both see HIM as The Almighty. In the 12 tribes of Israel they see him in the personality of Jesus and not as god. There are other Rasta who see HIM as a Great Afrikan King. I’d say Prof I is in the latter and sees Haile Selassie as a man but a great one.
