Those complaining about the vocals and everything else....this is a band you go and see live....the crowd is so loud singing every word who cares what the vocals sound like.
Sounds good to me.
That's not how live performances work lol.
@@spaghetti5038 there is a lot of things done in the studio to make vocals sound perfect... also you clearly may not have been to many punk rock shows ever.
@@mikebrowne4289 no dude lol. I know they they do things in the studio. Bands like blink 182 are a perfect example. They sound horrible live compared to their studio songs. But the menzingers are different because I've seen other live shows and they're a lot better there. I know they can be a lot better. So this performance isn't their best. It's not just the sound, he's not even in key some parts. It's like he can't hear himself and is just shouting out the lyrics
Go see gregor barnett tour
Where is the guy who is always posting the setlist in the comments? 🤔
Damn that bass tone!
Ive never seen a head, just the Ampeg cab. Wonder what he's playing with. He must have a small one at the foot of the amp next to the pedal. Probably that black box.
FUCK YEAH

Leo r u going to have any of styg, counterparts, or the acacia strain?
Yes
Leo Sypniewski ur a god

They are getting squished haha

lmao
It would be a real shame if Covid-19 hit the two pirate ships within this dump of a venue. Fun fact about this show, 95+ degrees outside, second story venue, one box fan, one circular fan at the other end, however ..........Scottie still keeping this fucking show together though 22:00.
Love their music and they are terribly underrated but my God, the live vocals are absolutely brutal here. I mean so incredibly off pitch and going into 3 different keys in one song? Greg doesnt have the greatest voice live but never hear it this bad. Im guessing there may have been an issue with their monitors and maybe couldn't hear themselves?
Bro, thank you. It’s bruuuutal, and I keep checking live video to see if it’s just a one off thing but dude cannot sing live. It’s unreal.
I love the menzingers but I don't know why so many people feel the need to defend the bad vocals with excuses. There are plenty of bands that really can reproduce their studio sound live. Some are even better live. I just saw Thursday kick ass earlier this week. And really, If Lane Staley could pull it together for that MTV unplugged then theres excuse to sound crappy.
thursday is soooooo good live
@@Brian-wz3ib even after all these years they still sound great, check out their new live album
@@okcomputr I did good looks. Its fire. I saw them at irving plaza in nyc a few years ago. easily one of the best shows I've been too.

It’s so bad. Like. So so so bad.
as much as I love this guy's pre-recoded songs BOY this is bad. I hope this isn't rude. I really do love their songs and I don't think real "talent" has to be live.
You are entitled to your own opinion, even if it’s wrong 😆
I do agree that they need to be tighter and have some vocal training. Their albums are absolute fire though.
He injured his vocal chords several years back, maybe 2016 and hasn't gotten better.
Lookers sound awful on vocal LOL
The audio mix isn’t good, can’t hear the instruments. It’s all vocals
I agree, it sucks when I can’t multi track the bands. This is just the mix straight off their board (stereo mix) that their engineer did. It doesn’t translate well to recording but I wanted to be able to post anyways
Leo Sypniewski sorry man, made a comment forgetting someone is trying their best... thanks for still uploading it, cheers
Yikes. My man can't sing.
Christopher Franklin He fucked his voice up years ago. That’s why the vocals on Hello Exile are fucking terrible with no risk taking. He’s just trying hold onto it now before it goes further.
In a live setting it literally doesn’t matter tho, the crowd will never notice how bad it is/how hard he restrains himself because that’s just how live sound is, it just gets drowned in the mix, everyone has a good time.
I’m more concerned about the fact that he can’t write a solid dynamic song with any sense of immediacy anymore.
w/e well he can sing live, just not at select gigs. It happens
some slack on a dude whose been singing for close to 20 years

im sure this is the reason he doesnt scream as much live anymore. but just to show you how good they can sound live :)
I like the band and the music, but the live performance is terrible. They are not hitting the tones most of the time.
welcome to punk music
lmao welcome boi check out Jeff Rosenstock if ya wanna see how it's done

kriese fish lol I just recently discovered them and they’re becoming one of my faves. I think if they were to tune down half a step or add a little bit of reverb live it would help a little. But I guess they really want to stick closer to their recorded stuff.
It's fucking punk bro they're not trying to be clean and presentable
Shut up
