Ok funny story relating to the soldier saying “bowl” (I hear boar). But to my point, back when I worked in kitchens; beginning of my career I worked with mainly white people… I met this truly amazing person who happened to be Mexican. Wonderful worker, coworker, mentor, friend, etc. When I first met him, he asked me for a burger, but he pronounced it “booger”. I have auditory processing disorder and kept thinking it was me that was mis-understanding. We both got so frustrated with the other until I said booger and pretended to pick my nose. Then he started laughing while I’m standing there dumb ass confused. Finally he tells me “bur-ger” and then I start laughing so much I can’t do anything for a few minutes. To this day, it’s one of my favorite stories to tell from when I worked in kitchens.
