If the object you are working on will be susceptible to water, dirt, and other contaminants a top coat like this product would work: www.acehardware.com/departments/paint-and-supplies/interior-paint/wall-paint/1849447
Hi There, Milk paint can be applied to pvc, but an acrylic bonding primer would have to be applied first to establish adhesion. Bulls Eye 123 Primer Ace #16890 gallon, #16889 quart) would be perfect for this application. Milk Paint would be recommended over the Bulls Eye 123 Primer. That said Milk Paint is a little translucent, so not sure how this would look appearance wise. One recommendation would be to tint the BE 123 Primer to an approximate match to the Milk paint end color. Hope this all helps!
I installed primed barnwood shiplap in the living room and need to paint it. I'm considering this product because I want to see the grain and "rustic" character of the wood. Would this be a good product for that?
Hi Kim, Sounds like a fun project! I've reached out to Rust-Oleum to confirm it can be used on walls. In most instances we've used this product on furniture and want to confirm it's a good product for your barnwood. Stay tuned! We'll put the answer here.
Hey Kim, It can be used in walls! It will seem somewhat transparent when applied and have some texture. Brushing a light coat and/ or thinning 5% with water will improve see through effect. You may want to test a patch to ensure you like the look before full application. Distressing and ragging off are options as well to get a rustic character. One important note the Milk Paint on walls will not be washable. Hope this helps!
I hear alot of people complaining about the texture...peraonally I love the rougher texture. It looks amazing if u choose to use waxes on top
Hiii im from ace hardware Indonesia
I can't wait to try. It
Is this water based and can. this be spayed?😊
I wait for a minute then go over with a dry cloth to wipe the remaining paint, for that milk wash distress look, painting and wiping in one dirction.
Do I need to seal it with some kind of wax or oil?

Will this work on upvc surfaces? If so primer needed? Top coats?
