- A minor patch following v30.10 has caused a bug such that any build with wheels placed on top of another ungrounded build will cause that build to sink down into the ground or brick it's on top of. This is a breaking issue for the Vehicle Transport as you cannot achieve lift off while carrying a ground vehicle. I've opened a bug report and hope this gets resolved soon, my apologies to anyone who is dealing with this unfortunate bug while trying to use their Vehicle Transport. I'll update this notice once the bug has been fixed by Epic Games.

I already build it with my friend, when we landed in the snow biome with our sliders... That was epiiiiiiiiiic. It was like a star wars movie like battle of geonosis, almost like that

If anyone’s wants to modify to make it better add small tires to the bottom so it won’t break ur builds (if u park in ur base or in a building), if u want to turn without flipping over by accident remove all the inner thrusts on the bottom and add 1 small reverse thruster along with the big one, make the big one turn with the opposite sides forward thrusters and vice Versa, make the small reverse thruster to the channel u picked for lift off, this should remove the accidental flipping of the vehicle and it’s way better.

I made some adjustments for better steering, all 16 upward thrusters and the 4 upper outer are on 1 channel. The lower and opposite reverse share a channel. It makes for sharper turning without the tilting.

Dope build! I have done the 2 first steps on my survival, and i’m going to finish the build soon. I was just wondering should i put a bit more trushters and balloons because i am going to put about 30 grand chest in it and also a vehicle sometimes?
Thank you, excited you are going for the build! I recently converted one of mine into a mobile base with workbenches and chests, etc... I would imagine the weight would be similar to what you're doing and it did help to add extra balloons in each of the four engines. I think theres room to add 2 more in each and still leave leave enough room for the rear engines to have a small two node offset for the balloons (mentioned in the video). I didn't have to add any extra thrusters, nor use the counterweight thrusters on the vehicle bay in my case but they are there if you need them. Good luck!

Excellent build and video. Any thoughts to why I can't get mine to fly with a vehicle? Not even the ATV.. Just sticks to any ground surface like glue.
Hey! Thank you for trying it out man, unfortunately a couple people have reported this issue since the latest update.. I’ve been experimenting and it seems to be anything with a wheel on top of any ungrounded bricks causes this issue! I’ve opened a bug report on LFN’s discord but am unsure how long it will take them to fix it..

Hey man, so glad you decided to try and build it! Is it leaning forward with no load? If that’s the case, it’s possible it’s balloons placement.. if you do have a load, you might need to enable some of the counterweight small thrusters. Otherwise those should be off.
@@generalronimus truly your builds are excellent and yes with no load, then I actually tried seeing if I could place some chests, chairs and beds to counter balance it made no change so I shall take a look at the balloon placement and as for the smaller thrusters I left them all off as you stated in the video unless I had unstable load of course but I never tried to mess around with those will try them too sorry for a such a long reply also I didn’t get a chance to say previously I will have to download discord

Thanks man so glad you gave it a try! For vehicles glitches, best thing is to log out of the game (everyone if you have multiple players, so the server resets) and then re-enter and hopefully it clears up 🤞🏾

Really great build, i built it and flew around but i always damaged the wings on landing, front right wing had the balloons burst

Really glad you tried it, sorry to hear it gave you some trouble on landing though.. did you end up adding the frostpine lining on the engines? (from the customization section) I had a lot of similar issues before adding those, just curious 🍻
Going to try again but in sandbox to "armour up" the wing pods, i sorted my control pad (i use an xbox one pad on pc) where i changed the steering thrusters to the shoulder buttons to make it easier to steer
Lemme know how it goes! As time as passed, I’ve thought more and more about ditching those vehicle bumpers/foundations and using more frostpine in future builds.
@@generalronimus yeah I did a small flyer that used frostpine thin 3 for the "neck" can quite happily rag it around, I rebuilt your transport with the added frostpine and so far no problems, it seems a little back heavy and will end up vertical if I just use the upward thrusters, but I am experimenting with additional thrusters
Glad to hear the extra protection worked for you! In addition to playing with the thrusters for balance you could also play with the balloon positioning to some degree since the engines have a little extra space in there

For anyone who has problems with the boosters and that they don't activate at the same time just add a switch and conect it to the boosters

Cool idea! Never tried one of those before.. I’d imagine you’d want to build the base first and build it really wide with the balloons near the outside edge so adding buildings to the middle doesn’t affect the weight distribution too much. Good luck!
@@generalronimus thanks! I had started to build homes around the edges of the base, but if I’m able to, I can make a carrier like this an lift it with a huge supply of balloons on the edges, and the top. Thank you, man!

Hey! I recommend the ancient flooring over others because of its durability. Good chance stone or wood flooring will break on impact with trees or by vehicles loading in

Hello, very good video, I just did it in my world but it has a few problems with the driver's seat, what happens is that when I am in the air when I get out of the seat I appear outside, another problem is that it makes a noise like breaking when It is on land. Do you have any solution for that?
Love to hear you built it! The driver seat issue seems to be a bug in the game, as it happens to me as well sometimes when the airship is moving. The annoying sound however I don’t think we can avoid.. any non-dynamic foundation brick that you walk upon will make those sorts of noises

The bumpers are crap. They always break, can you please tell me a sturdier alternative.
Yeah they really do break far too easily, I wish they got the same durability buff some of the other vehicle mayhem bricks got.
In a recent video I posted, I used directional building to place ancient flooring onto those bumpers sort of like armor. But honestly, you could probably just use layers of ancient thin flooring in place of the vehicle bumpers all together. Let me know what you end up trying, thanks for the comment!
Hey general ronimus. I built this and its pretty coolbuut I have this issue when ever I drive a car on to the vehicle bay the floors go under the ground and won't go back up with the thrusters. Only when I take of the vehicle and turn on the thrusters I goes back to normal. I've tried everything and have no solution. Please can you find a fix. Thanks!
Hey! Thanks for reaching out, you’re the second person to mention this issue.. it seems like it’s different than simply a balloon physics bug, it could be a new one. I will test out one of my vehicle transports later today and see if I get the same results and reply back here
I was able to reproduce this issue in my world, this is definitely a new bug that the most recent update must have introduced. I made a bug report in their discord.. in the mean time still experimenting with how to fix but no luck so far; dynamic foundations and wheels both suffer the same issue so it’s not just non-vehicle parts that are bugged like this!
Now that we’ve discovered how to build giant vehicles like this it makes me so sad that we can’t move village squares or put them on something moving, imagine if we could have a mobile village

In stage three, each engine has one ancient floor 2 and four ancient floor 3. I hope this answers your question!
What's the point of the thrusters in the middle? Their not used
If you load up something heavy like a Hauler and it's making the ship lean, you can use those small thrusters to even it out
Please help! I put the hauler on the transporter and tried to fly it and it wouldn’t go up. Added some extra thrusters onto it to try to make it go up and still wouldn’t go. Then when I removed the hauler from it, the transporter just floated up in the air and sat station midair (100m or so up). Tried to fix it and I got it to the ground but still unbalanced on weights. Do you think I should just build it again?
That's some weird behavior! If your Vehicle Transport is built like the video, it should rest on the ground, even at the lowest altitude.. I flew and landed it in the shore biome multiple times.
If it's not and its just floating in the air with no load, I think some sort of physics bug might be at play which still wouldn't surprise me despite Epic's bug fixing efforts. Have you already tried logging out and back in to see if its still floating?
Haven’t tried it yet, however I will do when I get the chance. I built it properly as It was working before but stopped after loading a vehicle. Will probably just build it again to save the hustle but thanks for the time on replying back. :)

In the last two updates, I feel like Epic has finally made some gains on the vehicle bugs in this game, fingers crossed they keep moving in the right direction. I personally haven't had any issues with vehicles in the past month playing solo, but I do still experience some odd physics behavior when I play with the game with other's cross platform, fwiw.
what do i set the reverse thrusters to?
You can leave the reverse thruster assigned to the default: channel 3. This will allow the VT to reverse slightly on lift. Good luck!
How to use the flip feature?
It shows you what button it is for your platform next to the other driving buttons on the hud. For me I think it was pressing the R stick down. Really convenient feature!

When I try to put a vehicle on this, it just goes down in the ground and I can’t fly with it
Hey! Sorry to hear this happened to you, does this problem persist between log ins? If so, I’d recommend opening up the four engines and breaking and replacing each balloon.. it’s been awhile since I’ve been affected by balloon physics issues but it has happened in the past and this was what worked best for me. Let me know how it goes
Just fyi others have reported this and I myself have been able to reproduce the issue.. it’s a new one with a recent update unfortunately. Anything with tires on it causes ungrounded bricks below it to sink down. Both into the ground or the piece they’re on top of. I reported the bug in their discord.. not sure how closely they monitor that but one can hope!

Hmm.. have you created a speedster yet? I feel like creating the first prefab car is how I gained access to the rest of the vehicle parts, or at least the majority of them

It’s possible yes, if you’re transporting a vehicle any meaningful distance I recommend using the large fenders to box it in. Just be sure the fender doesn’t touch the vehicle itself.. you don’t want it to attach otherwise any balloons, thrusters or wheels break off. I’ve found this to be the case in any situation involving vehicle bricks, transporter aside. Hope this helps!

Hey man sorry you’re dealing with that! This is a bug introduced in v30.20 where wheeled builds on top of other dynamic builds cause them to sink down.. it really sucks! But epic support is aware of it and working on a fix
why didnt you use any kind of balloon?
They’re hidden inside the four engine units, 16 small balloons in total, though I think you can fit up to 20.
So it CAN carry a troop transport!
Yes **technically** **A** troop transport fit in there for the video, but it wasn’t the one from the troop transport tutorial so don’t try it 🤣

Hey! So sorry you're having issues after spending the time to build it.. first of all, were you trying to fly it with a vehicle in tow? There is a really unfortunate bug introduced in v30.20 that is preventing dynamic pieces from lifting off the ground when wheels are on top of it.
No, I built it and none of the boosters would work. I tried to redo the thing with the wrench and I didn’t have a car on it. I couldn’t get it to work. But I’m glad it worked for you and everyone else. It’s an amazing build and I love how your able to make something so cool like that. Thanks for responding back to my comment. I too have been experiencing a similar bug since the most recent update, the thrusters don’t work immediately after removing the vehicle jack.. I had to log out and back in and then they all worked normally. Give that a try and let me know if it works for you. And thank you very much for the kind words ☺️

I wouldn’t recommend it, I think vehicles, terrain etc would likely break floors made of plain wood

This “missing” stage is thruster configuration, so there are no resource requirements for that stage lol

And this is gonna Crash and Smash frequently - until they implement real Ascend & Descend capability, Building vehicles like this is an interesting but ultimately pointless waste of time - too few places are flat enough to land these without frequent damage 🤷
I think the worth of time depends on the person who spent it. I play games to have fun; I had fun building this. Time well spent!

What I do is, I put large tires on their sides on the bottom of all my airship builds and have zero issues landing. No crash no smash. I remove select balloons one by one to descend safely.
Where is stage 4?
Stage 4 is the thruster configuration, so it’s later in the video, just not in the initial resources requirements. Hope this helps!

It would be nice if they gave an option to make channels press and hold as opposed to timed, at least while sitting in the drivers seat. I think that’s a reasonable ask

Hey! First of all, thank you for at least attempting to build it! What issue did you have? There’s at least two known physics bugs out right now that have affected this build. One solvable and the other not until Epic patches it
For some reason, I can no longer put more then one base on the car jack - if I try, it tips over, or crushes down into the ground. So fed up with these cars and Epic's inability to get this right.
Myself and others have noticed that the three, true dynamic foundations don’t stick to the top of the carjack… they don’t stick to the top of anything actually. But other pieces *should* stick to the carjack. When you say base, do you mean the frost pine flooring for this build or dynamic foundations?
