Great video! Love that it’s short, well explained and to the point.
Thank you! I'll keep making videos in this style.
Tried it on a family photo and it was crazy how real it looked. Thanks for the tips! karma made it simple to get a holiday card shot.
Glad this helped with your family photo!

I'm glad you found this helpful!
karma gives such impressive results it could almost pass for a real photo. Gonna be tougher for my kids to deny messy room photos now lol.

Thank you, a lot more videos are coming.
Nice job explaining the prompts, gonna have to try some crazy styles on my friends unaware pics muahaha

Midjourney version 6 should release some of these features soon, so it will be even better soon
now I'm subscribing.
Thanks for the sub 👍
i don't have those niji options now... has v6 updated options?
V6 doesn't have those options yet. It should work fine if you add "anime style --niji 6" to the end of your prompt. Or you can always use niji 5 which works just fine for stylized selfies.
I'm planning on making an update version to this guide soon.
I'm so bummed. My images from describe are not even close to an animated version. What now?
Do you mean when you generate an image with Niji style after you get the prompt from the describe command, it does not look like an anime version of your original image? You can try rerolling the prompts a few times to get something close. Also if you try blending them together a lot of the times it will still resemble your original image.
does it require premium version of mid journey?
This tutorial works with the $10 per month basic plan in Midjourney.
@taoprompts I'm new to this and interested in how privacy is handled? Is this using MJ with the Bot on your own Discord server? It would be nice to know if users have a way to discreetly use Selfies or even pictures of friends who want cool pics and not be concerned the images are accessible by the greater MJ community.
@@FluxNomad678 there are videos on youtube showing how to create your own midjourney server thread so your work is private
I tried out that prompt and it said it was invalid. I also added --niji 5 like you did in your video :/
I just tried --niji 5 --style expressive and it's still working. I'd try it again with a slightly different prompt. Depending on your prompt Midjourney may censor it if it will produce something explicit.
The style command does not work in MD 5.2 :(
Probably why you need to change MJ 5.2 to Niji 5 in the settings. Type command /SETTINGS and you will see which one is activated.
"--stylize expressive" only works for niji version 5. This tutorial also works with other styles besides the anime styles. As long as you can generate stylized portraits, you can blend them with your selfie.
what if we don't have a mid journey bot channel?
It's fairly easy . Just message the bot and it will stay on your sidebar just like when you message other discord friends. If not.. everyone will see a picture of you 😮
also it's asking for subscription
This tutorial is meant for Midjourney. It's a subscription based platform although sometimes they have free trials when new features come out.
I'll make tutorials for stable diffusion and other non subscription based Ai methods in the future!
