Michael. You are the first and only person on earth that used Fleetwood Mac and "1 hit wonder" in the same sentence. They were beyond huge with at least a dozen or more top hits. I still have that vinyl album ":Rumors" in my collection. BTW, Happy New Year. Let's hope for a great one.

I was going to say the same thing 😂 the Mac is one of the biggest selling band ever and Stevie Nicks one of the three singers: Lindsey (male), Christine and Stevie (female) all had consecutive solo careers. In fact Stevie is the first woman inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame twice! She’s still selling out large arenas today at 75 years old and sounds amazing!

Another great song from the "Rumours" album. "The Chain" was written during the turmoil in all of their lives. Lindsay Buckingham & Stevie Nicks were ending their years long relationship, John & Christine McVie's marriage broke down, as did that of Mick Fleetwood & his wife Jenny Boyd. Their album "Rumours" (1977) is one of the best-selling albums in history. All the songs on it are great such as "Dreams", "Go Your Own Way", "Don't Stop", "You Make Loving Fun". "Second Hand News", "Gold Dust Woman" etc. Sadly Christine McVie passed away recently.

The 2 on the front cover were Mick Fleetwood the drummer and one of the founders of the band and Stevie Nicks who is the female vocalist on this song, this was the 3rd major line up of this band that started as a guitar led blues band in London in 1967 the original line up was Peter Green (vocals and guitar god), Jeremy Spencer (guitarist), Mick Fleetwood (drums) and John McVie (bass). Peter formed the band and was already famous for replacing Eric Clapton in John Mayalls Blues Breakers. Peter named the band after Mick and John so if he ever left the band they would be able to carry on, they later hired Danny Kirwan (another guitar god). Peter, Danny and Jeremy left the band and the 2nd line up with John's wife the very talented Christine McVie (piano, keyboards, vocals and songwriting) and 3 more musicians they released 5 albums in this guise but never quite reached the original line ups success. In 1974 the 3 new member had left and Christine McVie stayed they hired a couple from America Stevie Nicks and Lyndsay Buckingham (yet another guitar god). This was to be their most commercially sucessful line up especially for sales in the US. You should do some reaserch into the Rumours album as off stage the band were falling appart most of the songs on the album are based around cheating, having affairs and breaking up as this is what was happening to the band at the time, however they never let their personal issues interfere with their professional lives they could all understand how much they needed each other to make sucessful music together, so no matter what was going on they kept the band together, well for many years they did, eventually Lyndsay left in 1987, and Stevie left the band in 1993, however again realising how much they needed each other professionally they got back together again in 1997. Sadley Christine McVie died in November 2022 from a stroke brought on buy terminal cancer.

You need to listen to more Fleetwood Mac songs to get the full picture. My favorites are the ones Christine McVie sang lead on, and at least one where Lindsey Buckingham sang the lead. “Hold Me” and “You Make Loving Fun” are two of my favorites.

Fleetwood Mac started in the 60s; with Mick Fleetwood being the only original member. John McVie showed up a short time after the band formed. When they lost the keyboardist; John suggested his wife, Christine. The band went through many changes over the years before Buckingham/Nicks came into the band. Mick and John wanted Lindsey, but he refused without Steve, and the rest is Rock and Roll History. John is concerned to be an original member only because he was on their first album, of I'm not mistaken.

This era of the band they have 3 vocalists. They each sing about 1/3 of the songs. This is a band with a LONG evolution, and the only 2 constant members are the ones the band is named for, Mick Fleetwood (drums) and John McVie (bass). They don't sing though. The singers in this era of the band are Lindsey Buckingham (guitar), Christine McVie (keyboards), and Stevie Nicks (percussion).
On the cover are Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks, who weren't a couple. The two couples in this band were John & Christine and Lindsey & Stevie. They both broke up during the making of this album (and Mick also divorced his wife Jenny Boyd)

This band had several incarnations! This was on their 11th album! They had many singer-songwriters pass through. The most famous version of the band is the one you're listening to. They have 3 singers, and one of the steadiest rhythm sections (drums and bass) in all of the industry. Great reaction, agreed this is a great song. The only one the entire band wrote together. For a totally different but rocking version of the band, check out "Oh Well Pt 1" from 1969-70.

The male on the cover is not the singer. He is the drummer The is Mick Fleetwood a founding member along with John McVie, thus the name Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey Buckingham is the singer in this song along with Stevie Nicks. Christine McVie, John's wife is also background vocals and piano in the band.

Do yourself a favor and take a deep dive on this band. They were THE soap opera band of the 70s.
Divorces, cheating, and lots of cocaine influence a lot of their songs. All wonderful pieces in their own right.

Mr. Mike their definitely not a one hit wonder they were inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of Fame. Had many very good songs with Stevie Nicks on lead. I suggest you react to Rhiannon in 1976 on Midnight Special. This is the best video Stevie was on 🔥🔥🔥. Dreams is exceptionally good also the live version is the best these 2 songs haven't got blocked yet. Lindsey Buckingham was doing lead on the Chain along with Stevie. A great guitarist also. Had a great solo hit I'm in Trouble in 81.

The album was so packed with hits The Chain was never even released as a single. At that time 3 or 4 singles from an album was considered a lot. Rumours had 4 top 10 singles and probably could have had 2 or 3 more if released. In terms of sold units it's the 7th best selling album of all time. Including streaming, digital, compilations it's #5 and about to pass #4. It's still a top selling album. For 2023 it was the #5 selling vinyl in the U.S. (and UK) and #25 overall. At the time it was the 2nd of 5 multi platinum US albums in a row. So no, FM was not a one hit wonder. 😏
