Linklight returns to the workshop for Rivals of Aether which gives you access to custom new characters or mods! In this video I check out Blaziken, Gengar and Jirachi! These Pokémon were really well made and had a lot of fun combos. So many Pokemon Characters were made in the PokeJam so I am excited to see what else is out there to discover!

Lucario, definitely
Golem, electrode, and lucario are well made.

Unown and Egg areretty unique, and I think there is a really good electrode in the workshop
It’s a pretty subtle mechanic so I totally get missing it in the vid, but Gengar can also fast fall at any point in their jump, even if they’re moving up! It’s designed to counteract Gengar’s floaty gravity on stage and boost their combo game a bit.
Also for other Pokemon that might be worth your time, there’s Electrode, Egg?, and Bubbles (basically Project M Squirtle, but as a Moemon). All three of them came out during the Pokejam and are all super cool characters ^^

Jirachi NSpecial has hitstun if the opponent is already on hitstun. It's mostly a combo extender.
It was that before ROE was updated with the new Workshop Characters pack and the Rollback, but after that, a CPU using a Workshop Character, such as Mario or other character, doesn't fight just jump, move and dodge/protect
Metapod is the best pokemon character, nothing personal, just facts
There's definitely a lot more than just these that workshop has to offer, but I'd definitely say these are some of the more impressive pokemon characters on workshop.
Hell, I even made a couple of my own, being Hau and Tapu Koko (yes I'm a big Gen 7 fan)
I mean for one thing he refuses to play OCs, which is like, half the workshop :/
But the characters that came out during the Pokejam were all amazing :)

I was planning to resprite Lilligant, Meloetta and Tsareena in the future and I recently resprited Lopunny.
Lopunny is my best one currently, I made and recommend the most.
But for ones I didn't make, I recommend Greninja. Greninja is cool. And Golem. Golem is funny.

bravebird but with that color scheme its looks cool and considering Blaziken is fire/fighting type and seeing pkm in pixel 2d fighting game seeing those animation like jirachi's doom desire what if its dialga's roar of time and palkia spacial rend
As a pretty big Pokemon fan, I honestly can't tell what Gengar's forward tilt is meant to be lol.
Unless it's like, Sludge Wave, which was an event move.
That wouldn't make sense though since gengar has fists

He’s more broken based on his extreme versatility compared to basic uber OP characters like Ronald Mcdonald.
I know this may not happen, but would you consider looking at TCG's Beedrill? (TCG (The Cool Gang) are the same guys behind Boyfriend and Wario)
He isn't the best, but I hold it dear to my heart and would love to see what you thought about him
Gengar felt way too broken when I first tried him out, I really liked Jirachi when tested her out and blaziken wasnt working for me. They were tiny
If you want more amazing Pokémon in Rivals, try Electrode and Unown!
I think Gengar and Blaziken are somewhat based on their Moveset from Pokemon Tekken/Pokken

as a pokemon nerd, i can assure you that gengars side tilt is not a reference to anything, idk what that is, but down strong is probably sludge wave since gengar is a poison type and competitive players usually run sludge wave

I already had jirachi, and loved it. I then saw you had gengar, installed it. I saw blazikin, but didn't install him right away, but I did end up installing him later, but I GOT THE WRONG BLAZIKIN!
You are using gengar incorrectly.
use forward tilt more.
neutral special into up special is a good kill move.
landing up air will retain your current momentum so if you position yourself right you can spam up air into literal oblivion.
Jirachi uses some of the retro Kirby sounds if you didn't know
Also do they have final Smashes?

I figured he'd leave a lot of stuff out, more so than usual since he was doing three characters in one vid. Though I guess his showcases are always less thorough than Zetta's for example. Blaziken is probably the most fun mod character I've played out of the 93 or so I've downloaded.
