Linklight returns to the workshop for Rivals of Aether which gives you access to custom new characters or mods! In this video I check out King Bowser by Baconator2558. This Bowser is equipped with a wide variety of unique moves and also can transform into Giga Bowser!

Fun fact:
If a Bowser CPU fights anyone with "Mario" in their name, his CPU level goes up by 1

@@butter_0021 I don't think it changes, but imagine if you had to fight a level 10 CPU bowser
@@butter_0021 If the CPU is level 9, then most things won't change, but Giga Bowser will. When Giga Bowser is controlled by a CPU, he has a set period of time that he'll wait in between attacks, and that gets shorter the higher his level is, so Giga Bowser effectively does have a level 10.

Up B is a reference to Super Mario Galaxy 2, where when beaten, Bowser jumps up, spins with a dark aura on his hand and disappears in a kind of black hole shape, which is basically teleportation.
bowser can actually teleport in mario 64 too as well
@@raiwserkoopa2221 True, although the animation used is the one from Super Mario Galaxy 2, so it's more a reference to that, the airdodge is a reference to Mario 64 though.

Anyway, I can answer some of your questions as well as point out some things you missed out on. First off, the way Giga Bowser works is that the meter above King Bowser's HUD fills whenever he gets hit or lands an attack, and when it's full, he can become Giga Bowser for a limited time before he's stunned. Fury activates when he's in a grounded neutral state (standing, walking, etc.) and his damage is over 101%. When it's active, he both deals and takes twice as much damage as normal. When he activates Giga Bowser while Fury is active, he becomes Fury Bowser like you showed in the video. The thing where he became see-through wasn't an easter egg; it was just a glitch that happens with Ronald. It has to do with a specific function in Rivals workshop that's altered a bit by Ronald. Giga Bowser also has a few more moves you didn't find, being a Side Special, Down Special, and Up Special. And while it may be surprising, the vast majority of King Bowser's attacks are actually references to specific abilities he has in various games (the only one in his base moveset that isn't is his Up Air). I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the character. As for the crashing, it's definitely something I'm aware of, and I do intend to optimize him further, but it will always be an issue to some extent, so I'm also planning to eventually release a Lite version cutting some extra features to allow more people to use the character.
I'm very glad you ended up checking out the stage, and you assumed correctly; I did spend a very similar amount of time on the stage as I did on the character. Thanks for shouting out my video too.
Slept on it, and noticed a few more things. Firstly, aaaaaaaaaaa, I didn't notice until watching your video, but on my showcase video, I accidentally made the "Magikoopa" text disappear too soon. Aside from that, I forgot to mention that you can hold Neutral Special to fire again more quickly, King Bowser also has a Side Taunt, jumping on King Bowser damages opponents, and you can angle Giga Bowser's Neutral Special. You might know most of this depending on how much of my video you watched, but I figured I'd leave another comment just in case.
I think it'd also be cool if in general, you checked to see if the characters you showcase have Abyss Runes (Sets of character-specific buffs/alterations that you can use in Abyss Versus, Abyss Endless, etc.) since a lot of characters have them, and they can be pretty crazy. Abyss Runes get to be pretty powerful, and a lot of more balanced characters will hide overpowered stuff in Runes. And characters that are already OP can get pretty insane with Rune buffs. If you do so, maybe you could also do a video going back over some of the characters you reviewed before to show off their Abyss Runes.
this is what happens when you love a character very much, as this bowser the most most accurate bowser i have ever played, and so I love it with a passion because I love playing bowser for the power and when this bowser has as much power as he does in the games, oh my god do I love every bit of it

thats exactly what the character is, and it makes sense, bowser is the final boss in every mario game, and I love that design philosophy

any time skylanders shit gets referenced in the modern day it always makes me just happy, it's a good series that doesn't get as much positive recognition besides the whole toys to life aspect and the gameplay is unironically really fun and at it's best when they make both levels and bosses that are really fun

I feel like smash could learn alot from this interpretation of Bowser, maybe not have him be a giant with a rivals type gimmicks but the simple stuff like having an actual fireball, having jab reference mario 64, having a tail swipe from odyssey and SO much more.

Something you failed to notice was when you faced the three “Mario’s”, bowsers intro was different from what his normally is
I forgot about 1 thing that you didn't know about base form king bowser, when your crouch & someone jumps on you they take a bit of damage which is a reference to one of browser's defense moves in mario & luigi browsers inside story when it's the enemy's turn

Up B is from super Mario galaxy, he teleports away after you beat him

Edit: I watched further into the video, the devs fixed Bowser, you can play multiple of him.
Bowsers up B actually has a grab mechanic. If he teleports with someone close by he will take them, teleport to the next location and them hit them with a strong punch.

Down tilt and shield are from Odyssey
Neutral air and up special are from Galaxy
Down air started in Mario 3 but i think this one is from Super Princess Peach
Neutral special may be from Super Princess Peach as well.
Crouch, forward tilt, dash attack, side special, forward smash are from Bowser's inside story.
Down special is like a modified version of one of Dark Bowser's attacks from Bowser's inside story.
Neutral Special is either from Super Mario Bros 1 or Smash 4.
Down Special is from Super Mario 3D Land.
Pretty sure down special is a reference to when Bowser threw thunders in the air in the begining of Mario Galaxy.

The reason bowsers up b is like that is because in bowsers inside story, to teleport around the map there’s this wierd guy. When you find him, he allows you to teleport with your mind

Yep! The meter builds a little bit every time he gets hit and a bit less every time he lands a hit, and when it's full he can transform into Giga Bowser for a limited period of time.
In case you were wondering, the teleportation move is from the final bowser fight in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
