Already did and ngl this game hooked me as soon as i learned the party shares exp something i was bothered by in fire emblem cuz i like to change characters a lot
I LOVE THIS GAME, my only complaint is the backgrounds, beautiful, but the distortion effect makes me quite dizzy, and it is something that is present in 80% of the cinematic scenes, I hope they fix it in an update
If you love P5 you'll love Tactica. The dialogue at the hideout are awesome and honestly the minusha of Persona intertwined into a grid strategy game gets addicting as you go along. If you have Xbox or PC game pass deff give it a go
Thanks for doing this. I had low expectations, great to see it's not awful. Might pick it up since I am in dire need of another Atlus game. It's an addiction at this point. Heard great things of it so far.
@tbnwontpop8857 Full shade at Devil Survivor. That game is so overrated and derivative of literally every other MegaTen prior. Now, MegaTen is a great series, so it is still a good game, but the gameplay is honestly boring, slow, and piss easy. It's the antithesis of every other MegaTen game. MegaTen games are supposed to have fast-paced and tense combat, where grinding is never necessary, and difficulty is determined by your adaptability and strategy. DeSu 2 is a lot better though
I wouldn't be surprised if Persona 5 Tactica ended up being better than some of the mainline Persona games - it's got serious potential! But one of the things that I'm dumbfounded by is how Atlus didn't account for the heaps (hundreds of thousands?) of TTRPG fans who have never played a Persona game before who would want to play Tactica. This game is obviously going to be many players' first experience in the P5 universe, so I can't believe they wouldn't introduce the characters / world / story properly.
I definitely cant wait to start playing this. I definitely agree with you that this is definitely a game for people who are fans of persona 5 and have already played it. I also agree with the dlc practices. I love the persona games but the anti consumer dlc practices i will never fully support😅
Good video. For me this will be a game i buy when it goes on sale. I started dragon quest 11.. star ocean..and still havent finished rune factory 3. First time ive had multiple games going! Its been a great year for games
tbh, I’m not a fan with this art style, but I love P5 so much, so I kinda hesitate to get this game, but I’ve seen so many people praise this game a lot. I’ll give it a shot on sales.
Game surpassed my expectations, I thought it was gonna be a pretty good persona 5 spinoff but I’m actually having a blast I find it really fun and addicting, another atlus W
As a SRPG fan, tactica is a “cozy” tactics game. I’m about 10 hours in, and It feels well balanced and well flushed out so far. It’s not the best srpg ever. But if you like persona and strategy rpgs, you wont be disappointed. IMHO
I didn't get too far. Just saved the first couple of team members. But I thought it was just me that audio issues on Xbox. Like a character would speak and the last few words they say sounds really low at times. And I'm not touching dlc til a sale happens.
So thankful for gamepass! :D For just 10 dollars a month I don't have to buy major releases like Starfield just to try and see if I like it. So nice. I hope Atlus will release more of their titles on Gamepass which I believe they are.
It's okay to have light spoilers so can anyone tell me if you think the story in this game is good or not. I find the spinoff games are usually pretty hit-or-miss. Just for example, I really liked Strikers, but I hated Q2 if that makes my opinion clearer.
I wany to clear something, before misunderstanding, first the persona spin off all the persona community saying is not a spinoff, okey they are games that extends or continue the story of the persona games, a spin off is taking some elements and creating a new story, thats not connected in same game that elements was taking from, in short every thing is new execept the elements that are taken, example of this they take demons from smt and created a spin off called persona, persona does not connected to smt only the personas you use in the game is simi similar to demons you use in smt, the next example is re chain of memories kingdom hearts, this game have different game machanics than some entries of the series but its not a spin off, the last example is pokemon snap it use the pokemon element in this game with everything is new this is a spin off, okey persona series don't have any spin offs they have a extender and continuation of there stories, look at the melody of memory and re chain of memory, different game machanics they are not spin off games, like i said they are extenders and continuation of the game stories, because people misunderstands things and have good day to all.
I still havent beaten persona 5 royal. We only just got to futaba and the end of her story. Me and my bf play togethet and i am not allowed to play without him! Lol❤😂🎉
😁i beat the game today it was a blast to play, not sure why people who want to play the game dont get it because of day one dlc, you dont have to buy the dlc and just buy the base game lol, I always like going back to the persona 5 world, always a treat.
@tbnwontpop8857 but he said in the video he's been playing on gamepass,he does have a switch version but(at least at the time of the video, now it has probably changed) he hadn't played it
As much as I adore the Phantom Thieves, I think spin-offs for this series are getting a bit out of hand. Personally, I'm more excited for Metaphor and P3R (even though I'm sick of remakes). Hopefully everyone who plays Tactica has a fun time. Also, definitely a based call-out from David, acknowledging the disappointing practice of putting 2 fan-favorite characters behind DLC. Even though we love Sega games, they deserve criticism for being greedy just the same. Have to hold them to the highest of standards.
What, Atlus did not hook you up with an advance copy? But you're like THE Atlus guy on this site man! In between this and deciding to release this the same day as a more high profile RPG (Mario RPG), Atlus is just being Atlus again.
Persona 5 strikers was a better spin off imo, but at least tactica is better than those dumb dancing games, imo unless it's a RPG then don't bother, persona is a RPG series so make RPG spin offs
@@RevaliHeeHo ive played some smt games and p3 p4g p5r and strikers. Im not into the strategy style of gameplay and i personally dont really like the art style. Ill pass on this but will play p3 reloaded and metaphor when those are out

Hell no i won't.

Still gonna wait til it goes on sale because of Day 1 DLC
I'm with you there.
Gamepass solves this issue.
Cant blame you
Yeah I'm so tempted to buy it but I rather wait and get it later
December is gonna show the price cut
I noticed the audio balancing issue in cutscenes as well on PC! Not a huge thing but it does bother me just a bit haha
I LOVE THIS GAME, my only complaint is the backgrounds, beautiful, but the distortion effect makes me quite dizzy, and it is something that is present in 80% of the cinematic scenes, I hope they fix it in an update
I am currently 5 hours into Tactica and very much enjoying it as someone who likes strategy RPGs
Peak has arrived 🎉
I will be playing the game on my Xbox as soon as i get off work.
Glad to hear your take on it, looking forward to the full review

This is a huge relief, the only tactics game I played was Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope so I'm glad to hear this game is great too!
Great for beginners of the genre! Just like mario & rabbids is
@@DavidCastJRPGs I just finally got it after working on a project, as a massive Persona fan I’m super excited to see how this game will be! 😊

Best spin off? I’m guessing Strikers don’t count since it’s plot is technically sequel.
I don't count Strikers, it isn't a turn based RPG.
@tbnwontpop8857 I have no interest in Tactica as well or any Persona spin off.
Got on it midnight and absolutely loving it
Thanks so much for making this. Basically everything I wanted to know. For sure gonna play this eventually, even if it will have to wait a while.
I'm gonna die of laughter if this ends up being better than Devil Survivor

brooo tactica is SEVENTY dollars? 90 with the piecemeal???
that is a fucking joke.
you're telling me tactica costs as much as elden ring.

Wait this game is $70, that highly overpriced.
Meh...the game is very mediocre. Atlas sadly has no talent for adapting the Persona formula for spin-offs. P5S had a lot of problems & so does P5T.
Strikers was fine, frame rate suffered a little on the switch when battling lots of enemies but was solid most of the time
