This is my favorite modern deck, always like seeing somebody play it. I learn something new every time.

Seth, it may not have a place in this deck, or it may...but I've been playing around with a modern card since there are a number of low creature count modern builds out there lately. I know you like spicy cards, but I've been having some great fun with Feeling of Dread. I've played it with a bant midrange i've been playing....and against a low creature deck like deaths shadow...it plays like a two mana time walk with flashback. It's not the best against creature heavy agro, but like jund and grixis death it's amazing!
I really do not understand why people do not play Narset Transcendent here -
I do play a similar build with a black splash (fatal push, thoughtseize // SB - Surgicals and Liliana) and Narset , just like in this deck - finds so many cards and has a game winning ultimate after 3 rounds and she is easy to sneak in - in my personal opinion, she is much more useful than any Gideon could ever be :)
I'm bad with counterspells but dang that deck looks awesome. Love control.
I've always preferred Shadow of Doubt, Kitchen Finks, Wall of Omens, and Restoration Angel in U/W control.
Felidar guardian seems pretty nice here. Blink seas, PW or reset a d sphere

Isn't it worth splashing B for thoughtseize, fatal push, esper charm, lingering souls, maybe even sorin... ?
At that point, it's not UW and it's Esper and the decks are very different, even though the overall plan is the same.
Lingering Souls and Sorin is for tempo, not exactly control, and with Death's Shadow and Burn in my meta, I don't run thoughtsieze, it's far too costly on your life. Also going 3 colors means you're really tight on manabase and fetching/shocking hurts bad. It also doesn't allow the 4-of ghost quarters, which is why UW control has a slightly more favorable matchup to tron than Esper.

Can you do URW control
This list is missing 4x Ancestral Visions, which are >very< popular in UW nowadays.
It's for the same reason there are only 2 snapcasters, the deck does not have very much cheap interaction so you often do not have the mana to leverage the card advantage they give you
I play the deck pretty often, and seriously... card advantage is what this deck lives of. You have answers for almost anything, the problem is finding it -- and AV solves that problem efficiently. And it's not just me saying it, look at the lists on MTGTop8 or MTGGoldfish, most of them (the ones that aren't creature based and don't play Walls/Finks/Resto) play 4 AV mainboard.
This list did 5-0 a MTGO league, which isn't something to scoff at. I'd suggest giving it a chance.
The Handsomest Male well haumph is a pro, so he can 5-0 with almost any deck

Personally, the music is not too much loud, but the choice of music is not the best. Cause when you put background music, you think of "calm" or "podcast" type of music. But electro music is not the best song to put in background.
