Absolutely the most inspirational Christian, homesteading family blog I have ever seen. Thank you for putting yourself out there. I support and respect you for standing. There will always be naysayers.
Your so sweet. I am a 67 year old widow. I wish I lived close to you. I just love you and your doing a great job raising your children and such a wonderful mother. Love your videos. Keep it up. Such a wonderful family.
Anyone that tells you that you are forsaking the assembly has *clearly demonstrated* they don't know the biblical history of house churches, which btw is abundant in the Bible and shows they've not read it. Your faith and how you or anyone chooses to practice is up to you. Let your heart be light and the joy of God sing through your actions. GBY and your wonderful family. 🙏❤️🙏
MLP I agree a thousandfold. They are not forsaking by doing homechurch. Where 2 gather in my name.... People can't see past themselves sometimes to see that their exact way of church isn't the only way of fellowship
I don't have a faith but even I know you don't have to go to church to have faith. Jessica, my heart breaks for you, for how your faith community has treated you and your family.
@@rebeccasundberg4092 I totally agree. It’s very easy for people to look down on others for differences. While I don’t agree with her faith, I admire her for living hers.
MATTHEW 18:20 KJV "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." my husband was raised partially in a home church setting- he was one of 12 children and most churches didn’t welcome such a large family with 10 rambunctious boys with open arms, so his father started a home church.... he would then later become the pastor of the family church and buy a building in which we still worship as a family in today even after his fathers passing. Don’t let people’s ideas of what “church” should be discourage you. We are the church- not the building we sit in. I also live in Ohio, homeschool my children on a small homestead, and you are an encouragement to me as I watch you daily. Keep it up mama you are doing great.
I just want to say, I am not religious at all but you clearly are making the choices that are best for your family. Don’t worry about other people and do what’s best for you all. Sending so much love! ❤
As a Muslim I think you guys are doing a great job both with your religious obligations, home schooling, and your everyday life. I enjoy your videos very much. Concerning your head covering, as a Muslim woman I do cover but I do so because I wish too not because I am forced. My husband passed away 15 years ago and I still cover because I feel it is such a small thing I can do to remember God and so easy. I think everyone must feel and practice their religious beliefs in a way that makes them at peace.
Dear Jackie, as a Christian we are not relgious but rather we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who is alive and who says He loves us and shows us. He died for our sins and Is Gods begotton Son, perfect, He rose from the grave on the 3rd days. He paid the price for our sins, so we can be redeemed. He is coming back again soon in the sky, every eye will see Him. I have a close relationship with Jesus. Hes not just a God in the sky but my Savior .
Dear Jackie, Amen to what Stone the Crows wrote. Salvation is a gift from God. Jesus Christ was not only prophet but Bible teaches Jesus was God manifest in the flesh and that he died on the cross for OUR sins and that if we believe in Him we will not die but have everlasting life.
Jackie , thank you for your comment. Putting that out there with this audience is brave. But your 16 likes vs. two comments is telling and encouraging. God bless you in your own journey.
What a beautiful girl you are, Jessica. You handled these often intrusive, audacious questions with Grace and Patience. Your children rise up and call you Blessed, as do MANY of us out here.
You should never be afraid or burdened for protecting your child. People who don t live in your home with the fear of losing a child just don t understand. Bless your heart....home worship is best for you. Your children can socialize without fear and feel safe. You made the right choice. Anyone can worship anywhere. Often church is examples of how people should not live when you understand peoples stories and sins. Your an awesome mom. I ve never seen anyone so dedicated to provide a natural meals and storage and whose so organized with 9 children. There was thirteen of us on a farm and the kitchen was always chaos even with a housekeeper. We had much of the same farm conveniences, water pump, chopping chickens heads off, hand me downs, my grandmother constantly mending and sewing....your home is clean and organized and calm....I really applaud you....your children seem so content and happy especially eating the wholesome food ....never feel bad about protecting your children.
What an inspiring story of faith and love. I think your lifestyle and choices raising your family is very admirable. God bless you and yours. I enjoy your channel!
This is breaking my heart! You are so precious and so transparent and it breaks my heart that you have to explain (or defend) any of these very personal life choices. People love to judge, but you answer only to Jesus. Bless your darling heart! I appreciate you so much and love your channel as well as your family. 🥰
I was crying right along with you when you were talking about your son’s food allergies. I have had anaphylactic food allergies all my life, I’m now a grown woman with children of my own. I pray that God blesses you and your family. Your son is blessed to have a mother and father and family that cares so much for him and makes sure he is safe.
Hi Jessica and family, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, we are from Germany and I translated your video to my wife (she understands/speaks no English): so awesome! She was watching your channel for some time already and just learned and studied from viewing/watching. She was so happy to hear you also love Christ, as we do also as family over here in Germany. We do a lot of similar stuff with food and garden and all of that. My wife learned all by herself via videos, books, blogs and from trying, and I as a man also to the handcraft, woodwork and technical stuff as well. It's a blessing! Keep up the good work and be all blessed richly in Christ who provides for us all in His sovereignity!
You are a precious sister in Christ. Thank you for sharing your life. I agree with all the decisions you and Adam have made. The Lord bless you and your family richly.
I’m going back and watching older videos and I have to say thank you for having the strength to do what was best for your family. This is helping me to have the strength to do what is right for mine! You are so right that there is not one right way!
I have only recently found your youtube channel and I'm thoroughly enjoying watching. Our 3rd of 4 child was born with significant congenital heart defects and we have been dealing with these struggles for all of his now 31 years. We have had to trust the Lord all of his life and I believe that is one of the main reasons all of our 4 boys are walking with the Lord, married Godly women and are raising their children to love the Lord as they watched us walk with Him. It would appear the choices that you have had to make for Gabe is producing the same fruit. Well done good and faithful servants.
Oh sweet mama. I cried when you cried. God chose you out of everyone to be their mom. He knew you would take exceptional care of Gabe. Stand firm on your decisions because the holy spirit leads you in a things!
There is nothing I can add that hasn't already been said by others in the comments. I can only say, God Bless your family, thank you for sharing as it is indeed an inspiration for me to live a more reflective life.
I am grateful that the Lord lead me to your stories. They are a blessing. Thank you for so generously sharing! May the Lord Richly bless you and your family!
I’m having a problem the various people you know or don’t, that feel they have a right to question how and why you do what you do and live the way you live. As long as it doesn’t harm anyone , what you do should be your decision and no one else’s. The safety and happiness of your family is what should matter and folks should worry about themselves. You have a lot on your plate and I wish peace and love to your family.
Your honesty, your emotion, your love for your children - it all brought tears to my eyes. You do not need anyone’s approval for the beautiful path you’ve chosen for your family. Thank you for sharing and for being so vulnerable.
Oh dear. I am crying watching this, I can’t imagine being in your situation. I don’t know what plans God has for you but I do know that you are a light and an inspiration for me.
Oh my! Touched my heart and made me cry. It’s obvious you are leaning on Jesus. I think of Psalm 91. He is our refuge. God Bless you and your family. 💕🙏❤️🙏
Gabriel's allergies sound TERRIFYING. I am so sorry. I first became aware of severe allergies when I read the book, "Don't Kill the Birthday Girl". It was a real eye-opener. These allergies are nothing to fool around with. I absolutely agree 100% with your decision to homeschool. Of course...I've been homeschooling for 25+ years, so I'm a bit biased...😁
Your testimony is such an encouragement to me. My daughter, Selah, was born with a rare disease which requires a liver and kidney transplant. Her medical needs made our lives very different from those around us. We chose/were led to homeschool and home church to protect her from illness, but quickly learned that there were benefits from a faith standpoint for homeschooling and intimate family worship (with others when possible). Sometimes, there has been judgment from others (and tears of doubt on our part wondering if we're are doing it all wrong)...Sometimes it can feel like we are isolating ourselves, but the truth is that we are protecting our daughter from harm. We are learning to trust God's will in our life, and ultimately God is blessing us and growing us spiritually because of Selah's condition. God has used your testimony to encourage me to continue seeking Him for our family. Thank you!
I home schooled our two for two reasons. I dislike the culture of public schools and also, we lived on a boat. Holly now has a PhD and Christopher an MA. I am nothing special, just a dad. The church and our family are the anchor of our lives. Both Jan and I are amazed by your channel and see so many similarities in the way you live.
You are a terrific inspiration sharing your lifestyle with us. I cook from scratch, garden, can produce, just as my mom and grandmothers did. I enjoy watching your videos and learn from them.
I an a single Muslim man who lives in the city but I connected with you in so many levels and I enjoy your videos a lot Gabe is very lucky to have u as a mother .love and respect from algeria 🇩🇿
As a Christian myself I feel that doing home church is wonderful. My family and I stopped going to church years ago for other reasons and now we worship our Lord from our home as well. We are the temple of God and it doesn’t make any difference where we worship him just as long as we do and keep him first in our lives. Blessings to you and your family!! Cindy
My daughter and husband have decided to home school their 9 yr old. They also want a Christ centered learning experience for her. I have told her how much I respect you and your family and find you very inspiring in so many ways! Blessings and prayers for all families finding their way to educate at home!
God bless you greatly! You are giving your family such a precious and sturdy foundation! You are a wonderful inspiration to so many, me included. I’m 72 and have been down the homeschooling road. I wouldn’t trade it for a million bucks!
I came to your site from Becky at Homestead Acre. I too have severe allergies and it is difficult when you cannot be a part of everything everyone else is doing.. Your faith is awesome. You are an inspiration!
Jessica, I am relatively new to your channel and have just started learning to can and make my own bread. My own children are grown! I have 12 grandchildren! (So that kind of gives away my age!) I am so humbled by your honesty and emotion. I lost my oldest son 5 1/2 years ago to a brain aneurysm. He was 28. I think it is an honor for you to allow us to see this part of your life and your emotions are very heart felt! I definitely enjoyed your story and wish I had begun my homesteading journey so much earlier in my life! My prayers are with you and remember, there is nothing too hard for God to handle! He is the only reason I am still on this earth! He has helped me through my sons death and so much more the last 5 years! Whatever God brings you to, He will bring you through! My favorite verse is Psalms 37:4. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart! I researched that verse. For you to "delight" in God, you have to have a relationship with Him! When you have a relationship with God, your life changes. Your desires turn into the desires He has had for your life all along! Your desires become His desires! You learn to want what He has already given you! You thirst for Him! Thank you again for sharing yourself, even when you feel vulnerable! Btw, your kids are all beautiful! I admire the way you and your husband are raising them! Hugs!
Chocolate Lover, I have read many comments but I must respond to yours. You are an encouragement indeed. My condolences to you over the lost of your son. I too have experienced the lost of loved ones and I know it is very painful. I thank God for your faith in Him. As children of God, He comforts us in our sorrows and we trust Him because we know that He works all things out for our good. We have a hope and future in Him. By God's grace and mercies, we will continue to fight the good fight and run the race to the end in Jesus. We will meet our loved ones again one day in Heaven. God bless you woman of God.🙏🤗❤
@@shirleylou6085 Thank you so much! Yes! God is our only hope! I have lost 10 people in my family within 4 and a half years' time, not including cousins, extended family and friends. My sister passed one year and one day before my son (almost 7 years ago now). Then, my son passed almost 6 years ago now. Then came the rest of the family: nephew, aunts, uncles, and my sweet mama passed 2 1/2 years ago. I said all that to say: Grief can be horrible, but we must remember God is our hope! I thank God for supplying all my needs and bringing me through the darkest times of my life. Without Him, I am nothing! And I know it! With God, all things are possible! I can face anything thrown at me and I know God will protect me. I may die on this earth but I know I will wake up in heaven! I can't wait to see my family again! Please, pray for the rest of my family! Thank you for everything you said above! It blesses me immensely! What keeps me going? Knowing God is always with me and knowing I do have a relationship with Him! I pray several times a day and keep a conversation with Him. God knows my deepest secrets and my fears. He calms me when I need Him and He comforts me in my grief. I pray people know my God and have a relationship with Him, not just a religion. It changes your life! God bless you too! Hugs!
Watching this is such a blessing. Gabriel was set apart to create a path for your family to remove themselves from the busy and fast paced world we are all stuck in. I commend you for your courage to talk to everyone about your choices and I am thrilled that you stand so firmly. Your husband is leading his family under the loving guidance of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, let the naysayers fall on deaf ears. 💕
Hi Jessica thank you for being so transparent it is very refreshing! I am a new subscriber to your channel and have very much enjoyed what you share with us. I to am a believer and ware a head covering and have for the past 7 years. It is so refreshing to see others following Christ and what the scripture instructs us to do in today’s time and not look at it as something that is past tense and doesn’t apply to todays time! I appreciate you standing strong in your relationship with the Heavenly Father and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you! I look forward to your content and sharing in what you all are doing on your homestead!!❤❤❤❤
I am Anglican. (Episcopalian) You are doing the right thing for Gabriel. People who try to make you feel you must go to their building to worship obviously don't know that the first 'Churches' were in caves, and then houses. I do personally go to a church building, but my children are all adults so there is no fear of allergies. You are a wonderful mom, don't ever let people lead you to doubt. We had a 15acre place in beautiful Nova Scotia when our children were young and we all often say now, that's the time when we were happiest. My husband of 52 years (yes we married young) died in faith and I now am in an apartment in Ontario where all of our children are. But at 75 I still do some canning and still lots of baking. Even thought my children have my recipes, they still want their favorite's made by me. .they say its just not the same when they make it! Blessings to you and your family from me here in North Bay.
You answered all of the questions beautifully. It’s so nice seeing a fellow Christian woman sticking to her convictions. I’m a Catholic Mom who also lives in the country. I wear dresses often but not always because of practicality as well. I cover my head at Mass with a veil. I wear a black veil, the symbolism for a married Catholic woman, is that the veil is over our heads like God and our Husband, the black is because I’m married, until death do we part. The single women who veil typically wear white or light colors. God Bless!
I like the way you talk about your experiences with grace and without judgment. I almost cried hearing how much your (not so little anymore) son suffered in church... and I'm sorry you and your family has been judged so much.
Holy cow....In my humble opinion - you're all good! Home church is great and whomever says you're not believing in faith I think they're missing the point. We've got good sense (hopefully) that God gave us to make appropriate decisions to protect your family too. Stay well! And thank you for sharing your life. And I've never noticed your face being anything but perfect :)
This is the most beautiful, heart warming video I have every watched. You are doing a fantastic job and just continue listening to your heart and GOD!!!! God bless you and your family.
I can't even imagine how hard that would be for your son to avoid everything. And you deciding to home church is not living in fear. It's called protecting your child from harm. And you should be getting respect for that and not ridicule. You did good.
We have had many similar experiences😊. I have 8 children now, 40 years old, married 16 years, oldest son ( 15) has food allergies, waited 10 years to get to a property to have a garden, chickens and our country place that God has blessed us with. We homeschool, and when we moved to our current home we Made the decision to home church so that we can keep sabbath on the sabbath, and commanded feast days, and Torah. I changed my dress, but gave experienced ticks climbing my legs😬. Bless you and your beautiful family!
You are doing well taking care of your family in all the areas I will pray for you all and I will encourage you to keep on as you are. God bless you all!
I LOVE that daddy leads his family in learning Who God is and in worship to Him!!! This is going to be sooooo good for your children. As a children’s minister’s kid I’ve seen first hand that you can teach all the things at church but parents that are engaged followers of Jesus who are teaching at home can make a bigger impact in their child’s life.
Wow what a wonderful video. I learned about your page thru one I just started watching. Living Traditions Homestead. My husband and I are just starting to learn homesteading. We too are in Ohio. I'm so grateful for people like you to lead us on our journey. Thank you so much for sharing yours! God bless!
You are more faithful than many churchgoers, a building does not make a Christian, your life does. May God bless your family .Your assembly is your family.
You are a kind and refreshing person. Strong in your faith but understanding in the differences that make us human. I am at the beginning of my homesteading journey and have just found your channel so thank you for sharing your life and skills with us all. Good vibes from New South Wales, Australia!
I am a born again Christian and bless you!!!! I live in Nova Scotia. I love fashion and makeup but I also love so many things that you do. I quilt, knit, spin wool, bake, and cook from healthy whole foods.I have 4 daughters and they are all grown up, educated and on their own. The scripture says "where two or three are gathered". You are beautiful on the inside and out!!
You have a beautiful family and you’re so inspirational. Btw, you do not look 40 at all. You’re stunning. My family and I are Catholic and attend mass every Sunday, but I am 100% certain your family knows the Bible more than my entire parish. Lol! So, just because one goes to a church doesn’t mean they know more than someone who does home church. You inspire me to read the Bible more. So, I thank you. 🙏🏼 😊
My gosh, Jessica. I laughed and cried right along with you and absolutely loved hearing about all the topics you covered. I wish I could give you a big hug and have tea with you! I think we would be great friends 😊 God bless you and your precious family! You are having more of an impact than you could ever imagine by sharing your life here - the Lord has definitely used your influence in my own personal life. I’m so grateful!
How scary that has been for you to see your son go through all those things. So thankful that you know the Lord and that you all listen and allow Him to guide your family. The reason you “home church” as you call it makes sense. Of course you may miss out on certain teachings, but if Adam is listening to the Lord, He will guide him in how to teach your family. Thank you for sharing your heart and life with us. I have learned so much from you already. I don’t have animals or really Homestead but I do can, cook & preserve food for my family.
Thanks so much for the video! I cover my head during church. I'm Catholic and believe that Jesus is truly present at the Mass, so I wear a head covering to honor Him. Before I was Catholic, I attended many different churches including a couple home churches! The people there were always very sincere and faithful. I have a lot in common with you!
You don’t have to go into a brick and mortar building and pay their tithes to believe in God, to pray, to worship and to learn and spread the word of God. I love your channel Sister!!🥰
This was a wonderful way of getting to know you and your family! Thank you for being so open and honest about these issues. You are such an encouragement an inspiration to me. Your devotion and love for your husband and children is absolutely beautiful to see. God bless you and your family.
Thank you for sharing so much of your life. As far as church is concerned, God is in our homes, he is every where, we do not need to attend a church or house of worship to believe and pray with God…love watching your channel.
This video is such a blessing for me. I identify myself with the way you dress, are raising your children and your faith. I'm starting my journey on homeschooling and homesteading. It's something the Holy Spirit has been promoting me to do. Still praying for the Holy Spirit guide me and my husband in the things we need to do. God bless you and your beautiful family.
I have a son with a plethora of food allergies and ibs and asthma. He does a modified gaps diet. Dairy, tree nuts, and wheat are severe. Eggs, soy, corn, peanuts kiwi, some fish, and a few others are more mild but still potentially dangerous. He's also intolerant to legumes, all grains but rice, and nightshades. We are living in eastern Europe as missionaries and that's increased the difficulties in feeding him. I bring over cassava products for him. Thankfully our church in the US was very aware with his allergies and only gave raisins as a snack in his class. It's a hard road. My prayer is he will heal from some. This conversation encouraged my heart, as a simple reminder we are not alone. 💕
Thank you for sharing your story. It was nice to hear that you are letting your daughters decide about wearing dresses. I like that you said about wear pants can be modest to. Back when my son was in Trail Life there was a boy that had bad allgery to food. His parents got a dog that was trained to alert the boy or his parents if it smelled the allergen in the food. His mom told me there was many time that they had to take him to the ER because of a allergic reaction. They also homeschool him for the same reason
This is so interesting! Did you know they are obtaining incredible results training dogs to sniff out certain cancers and Covid? I think this use of dogs' abilities have a tremendous untapped potential.
Love your video! On the issue of head covering, I went to a Latin Mass earlier this year. All the women and girls were wearing a mantilla. What a beautiful expression of faith. You shine with the Holy Spirit. Happy trails.
I always feel as though you are wise beyond your years & it's very apparent the Lord is leading you every step of the way. Today I felt as though I had a friend telling me her story. You are so kind & speak to my heart about your journey. Thank you for sharing.
I have been following you and your family for only a short period of time, one of your videos popped up on my "you may like" lists on youtube. What a beautiful soul you are, inside and out. Your family is amazing, I adore watching your approach to teaching your children life skills .. Don't ever let anyones idea of Faith, rock your own, as you say, in the Bible, it is said, those who gather in my name, there am I in the midst of them.".You are inspirational and thank you for sharing..
I have to say, I love that you are religious, but are not forceful in your beliefs on others, even your family. Both your husband and your children seem to practice in their own way, and all of you show devotion and love to God harmoniously. This is incredibly difficult to navigate, so kudos to you for finding what works best for your faith and your family. One of my favorite homesteading channels!
Just want to say Thank You for always putting your kids first. God has a way of making you follow his path. My mother made sure to always put all 8 of us first and I hope you all know how much we kid appreciate that.🙏
Girl. It is so wonderful to hear your heart. Jesus is so kind. I just see his love for you. I pray you are blessed and encouraged as you share with all of us about your life and your love for God. May the Lord bless you in your obedience to him.
Oh ok, glad for the description of 6 years of preparation starting from not even knowing how to cook rice. I was wondering where the skills came from! So much info online and in books and stuff. Guess it's a matter of choosing to focus and learn if one is called to it and taking steps one can best they can towards desired lifestyle within what they can access. So sorry you've had to deal with that food allergy. Understandable tears. I'm not religious and likely wouldn't homeschool yet so far really finding this channel so interesting especially as I'm very into nutrition and nature and like seeing people's various lifestyles. Wishing this hard-working family all the best!
We are currently in the "waiting period." We rent a house and i'm growing in portable raised beds and fabric bags. I canned a ton of stuff this year for the first time. I'm learning a lot. :)
I believe what the word says about not forsaking the assembly HOWEVER when there are circumstances in your life such as very severe allergies, severe disability etc wisdom prevails. God is looking for obedience and faithfulness. You are faithful, you honour God. My heart just aches for you having to listen to others quoting that verse at you. When you hear what God is saying to do for your family who has the right to come against God speaking to an individual. You are the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. Sending you much love from Northern Ireland.
I absolutely love your family's story. I enjoy and check daily for your videos. You inspire me and love that you are not afraid of expressing your love for the Lord. Thank you ( watching from Georgia)
Your life appears very balanced and healthy in every way. We are friends with a family of 5 children who were homeschooled and 4 out of 4 have graduated from University with no issues. Our church just started a home/ house church to reach out to those people that do not feel comfortable in a church building. Church is people not a building. Your videos are a light to the world.
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” You can be confident you and your husband are making Biblical decisions sweet lady. What a precious family ❤️
Wow, that poor kid being so at risk, and what a worry for the parents. Glad you have found blessings in disguise from what sounds like such a tough road. Kudos to you.
Thank you for your heart felt message...God doesn't think like humans, he know your heart and the heart of your family and that's all that matters. Please don't let the enemy bring your spirit down as you are dearly loved xx
I just loved this! I admire your stand and doing what God has called your family to do. We are to love each other and respect what God calls each of us to do. He calls us to be different at times and maybe just for a season. We should just each just do what God ask of us and not worry about what God has ask others to do. Following the Holy Spirit is life changing and life rewarding. Thank you for telling your story.
Thank you. I wanted to know about you and the family. I appreciate the honesty, and the journey of the precious life that God has blessed you and the family with through out the years. I totally understand the home church concept. Your family certainly fits “where two or more are gathered”. God bless you and the family. PS-I love wearing dresses, too! Not because I have to, but because I want to wear dresses!
I never have understood why anyone thinks they have the right to make judgments on another person. I rejoice with you for following where God has to lead you. Your children are blessed because you have the ability to teach them at home. You are keeping them safe in so many ways and you chose what they are learning. I'm very happy for you. My oldest daughter was Physical Handicapped we originally had her in public school but she was beaten up and they stole her lunch money and sack lunches. Long story short the principal wanted to send her to a school for slower children because he could not see that this would not keep happening. We had started going to church and they had a Christian school. All my children went there and now my grandchildren go to this school. I was very fortunate God sent me to our church in 1987 and I had great teachers for my kids. You see I couldn't read very well back then. My Linda would come home every day and teach me phonics. Sorry, this was so long but I felt you should hear it. God Bless Cathy
John with his sonic screwdriver 😍😍😍 You are a blessing to me and so many other women Jessica. Please don’t let the bad apples ruin your thirst. Your the best type of influencer to follow; honest, loving, and inspirational.
Jessica, You are a lovely person inside and out. Your life is a beautiful tapestry of following the heart. A heart filled and fueled by love. We are all individuals in Christ yet, family. Many Blessings to your and your family.
I am new to your channel (your teacher planner/home planner brought me to your page). I have really enjoyed your videos and learning about homesteading, I am learning so much. I am also a Christian, wife, Momma and homemaker. It was so nice to learn more about you and your family in this video.
I was lead to this from a recent video this is older But as a fellow sister of Christ I felt this. It makes me feel sorrow for your family, You are not forsaking the assembly sister. A church is not a denomination, it is not a place, it is not a building. An assembly or church is where two or more of God's people gather together to worship Him with hymns, to do the emblems we are commanded to do on the first day, and to fellowship with one another. You and your family are perfect. Just because you dont go to a building doesn't mean anything 🤍 you keep doing what you are doing.
If there were more parents like you in our world The world would not be like it is today .I so remember the days when I learned from my granny and aunties the canning and substance life style. But that's the way it was then .I'm talking late 1950.early 60s I have kept all those memories and shared with my grandkids and now my great grands. I just wish I could talk them into home schooling. It's the best .!! Thank you so much for sharing Jessica. You and Sarah are my faves.
Where there are two in worship of me, there I will be
I don't have a faith but even I know you don't have to go to church to have faith. Jessica, my heart breaks for you, for how your faith community has treated you and your family.
@@rebeccasundberg4092 I totally agree. It’s very easy for people to look down on others for differences. While I don’t agree with her faith, I admire her for living hers.
@@amyhaggerty1 absolutely!
MATTHEW 18:20 KJV "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
my husband was raised partially in a home church setting- he was one of 12 children and most churches didn’t welcome such a large family with 10 rambunctious boys with open arms, so his father started a home church.... he would then later become the pastor of the family church and buy a building in which we still worship as a family in today even after his fathers passing.
Don’t let people’s ideas of what “church” should be discourage you. We are the church- not the building we sit in. I also live in Ohio, homeschool my children on a small homestead, and you are an encouragement to me as I watch you daily. Keep it up mama you are doing great.
This is encouraging. Thank you ❤️
Thank you for sharing! 💕
I just want to say, I am not religious at all but you clearly are making the choices that are best for your family. Don’t worry about other people and do what’s best for you all. Sending so much love! ❤
You are a beautiful woman and child of God. Thank you for sharing yourself with us; what a privilege to learn more about you!
Beautiful, thank you for sharing 🙏🏼🤍
Blessings to u so sorry for ur loss but u seem strong and spirited. Be well 🤍🕊
What a beautiful girl you are, Jessica.
I am so sorry to hear you have allergies too. It's such a tough burden to bear!
Hi Jessica and family, dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
we are from Germany and I translated your video to my wife (she understands/speaks no English): so awesome!
Danke ❤️
A very well grounded woman, at peace with herself and her Lord
I was crying too... She's SUCH a Blessing and a Beautiful person 🙏🙏🙏
What she said
I just have to tell you how very much I have enjoyed your testimony. You don’t judge anyone, I can see that. I’m so glad I found this channel
Thank you!
Your family's story is a perfectly beautiful example of how God uses all things for the good of those who love Him. 💕
Dear Jessica: You are such a great example for Mothers. Keep up the great job.
Hugs!
@@forgiven149 Amen. God has our backs at all times. Hugs🙏❤
God Bless!
You have a Momma’s heart for your children. Don’t apologize for that, it’s precious.
Mother Earth News magazine, is great. My friend bought a subscription awhile back for me. Love it, Worth every penny.
A God fearing person shouldn't shame anyone ..Your family is wonderful example of God's love !!
You are doing well taking care of your family in all the areas
I will pray for you all and I will encourage you to keep on as you are.
Boy, does your face light up when your children show up! Lovely. :D
You are an inspiration. I wish I had it all together at your age. God bless you and your family
Your love for God and your family is so evident!
Really enjoyed learning more about you and your family as a new subscriber! God bless the wonderful work you do raising (and feeding!) eternal souls!
I’m so glad I watched this video. Now I understand how and why you live the way you do. Thank you. May God bless you and your family.
May Gods bless your family!!!
God bless your son 🙏
Thank you for sharing your families lives. They are very lovely children. You and your husband are doing a great job.
Amen. Such a blessing. Follow what the Lord has for you and your family...not the neighbors or the na sayers.
My mother made sure to always put all 8 of us first and I hope you all know how much we kid appreciate that.🙏
Jessica you are a very special soul, you and your family are truly blessed
I love listening to you and all your stories. God’s blessings on your dear family
We are too! :)
Us too 💓
Jess from roots and refuge says turn your waiting room into a classroom i agree im in same situation as you
I believe what the word says about not forsaking the assembly HOWEVER when there are circumstances in your life such as very severe allergies, severe disability etc wisdom prevails.
As missionaries we started homeschooling in 1979 and was unheard of at that time. I love your balanced view on dress etc. Very refreshing!!
Such a wonderful journey and beautiful family!!! I just came across you channel and am hooked by you open, honest, clean living!!!
John with his sonic screwdriver 😍😍😍
You are a blessing to me and so many other women Jessica.
Your spiritual light shines sister!
You and your family have such a peace about you all- love watching. 💙
If there were more parents like you in our world
The world would not be like it is today .I so remember the days when I learned from my granny and aunties the canning and substance life style. But that's the way it was then .I'm talking late 1950.early 60s I have kept all those memories and shared with my grandkids and now my great grands. I just wish I could talk them into home schooling. It's the best .!!
Thank you so much for sharing Jessica. You and Sarah are my faves.
