VEGAN INPUT: WE LOVED IT (Notes for myself, but might be useful to others): 1) Used 365 plant parmesan and it worked, but it’s not quite as strong so maybe go with 1.5 of the quantity for vegan. 2) red potatoes wouldn’t stop seeping; use what he had or try brown potatoes. 3) My chili powder was outdated, so it added less flavor and color. You can up the quantity but I just added paprika for better color. 4) I was afraid it wouldn’t cook so I had it up a little too high and did the full 8 min on each side. Next time I’ll go low and slow and check it at 6 min as I burnt one side. Still, hubby called it “ spectacular” so it’s a win! 5) I used a bowl and made this 1 1/2 hours ahead, including laying it out in the pan. Although this lead to added seeping, it was so helpful to prep ahead. Doing it this way makes timing it so easy. At the most, it will need 1 min to get pan hot, 6-8 min per side, and 1 min to rest, so I’ll be starting it 18 min before serving. 6) Serving it: This could be cut down the middle to put on a plate, depending on what the meal is. This time I cut 6 slices with a pizza cutter and served it in a “fries” basket with a side of ketchup for hubby (I used wax parchment paper for the basket…Amazon). I just had a taste, but preferred it plain cuz it was yummy!
I feel like I would just wash the potato skins and leave them on the slices! But I've always been the type to love potato skins. They always end up very crispy when prepared this way! :D I'll make this soon for sure

я добавила между слоями ещё ветчину и сыра. получилось круто. сверху сыра тоже можно накидать и под крышку чтоб расплавилось. изменено: вместо ветчины можно добавить любую колбасу либо уже готовое мясо (грудку курицы например). всем приятного аппетита!!!!)))))

For there to be a significant amount of solanine in a potato, much of the flesh must be oxidized and green, deep into the potato. A small amount of surface-level green on a potato is not enough to harm a human, especially after cooking. Green potato chips can't make you sick!

Yes, it’s nicely prepared, wonderful and appetizing, but this isn’t healthy. At the end of the day, it’s still fried and it contains cheese and potatoes. And while olive oil is one of the healthiest oils, once any type of oil is fried, every type of oil is is unhealthy when heated. Eating this very sparingly is okay. But this isn’t a healthy snack. 😔 Just because something is fried in olive oil doesn’t mean it’s healthy (I’m a nutritionist)!

Just as a note for the cooker , never cook the potatoes with green spots coz it's toxic and u can google that . Otherwise, it's nice recipe
