yup, medal of honor games - still best ww2 fps games in my opinion, gran turismo 2 is my favourite all-time game, cmr 2.0 nails perfect balance of simulation and arcade, driver still had the best chases (maybe on par with 2005 most wanted), tony hawk games haven't aged one bit, ctr is still one of the best cart races, syphon filter games are still incredible and unique at the same time, medievil still kicks ass with it's tim burton esque artstyle, mgs is as relevant as ever, spyro aged like a fine wine, tekken 3 as playable as ever, colony wars 3 looks and plays like a dream, and there are soooo maaaany others that are incredible and worth your time and money! Great console, one of the best
Yes, to unlock the R390 GT1 in this game, you have to find it on Free Run mode. In this case this car is located on Short Circuit (Tsukuba Circuit) parked in the paddock of that course.
Basically my favorite Touge MAX series ever. Good diversity in car and track selections, plus some Gymkhana content (more like "driving school" stuffs with different settings). I have a soft spot for Rock Island.
The thing I love from old racing games are the handlings. Back then the handling built for fun, user friendly but now everything must realistic. And boring.
I disagree on the basis that you're comparing different categories of racing games, them being Arcade, Sim-Arcade and Simulator. The problem doesn't really lie in the fact that racing games now have realistic handling (realistic handling has been a thing for quite a while such as Gran Turismo 1 in 1998, Hard Drivin' in 1989, etc), it's more to do with the fact that arcade racing games have almost gone extinct. Essentially, new racing games that can be compared to these games suck because they don't really exist anymore. Ridge Racer got shafted, Burnout perished, god knows what happened to Outrun, Flatout flatlined, etc. It's a damn shame. A real damn shame. I love realistic physics as much as everyone else but I sometimes want to let loose on a good, honest arcade racer (which is why I still rip around Ridge Racer 2 on my PSP emulator).
@@justinl2009 if you want to satisfy your arcade game urges there are a few recent options: -Modern need for speed: i agree the last three ones where boring, but it's still an arcade game and there's now a remaster of hot pursuit! -Initial D arcade stage: there are 9 games in the series, i recommand the 8th game. It's an actual arcade game but you can play it natively on PC with teknoparrot and isn't that hard to install, i recommand watching a tutorial.
Daaaamn no idea that something like that existed! I have to check it. Physics looks cool (i mean as much as you can guess from the video), and the visual apsects are incredible for psx - and obviously just like txr series, it oozes with style! Thanks for posting this
@@kotetsujin3493 i know, but i can still judge couple thing from it, like the way the track is setup, the base quality of textures, draw distance, and car behaviour - things like that. And it is impressive
WOW that's awesome you guys, another one for the Touge Max 2 gameplay moments. Anything for more vehicle around here...use it for Toyota AE 86 & Supra to race 1/3 for good luck. Enjoy to your weekend now. ☺️
This was the game I've played before since I was like around seven. We have some kind of an arcade and this is one of the game I've played and enjoyed. I really miss those days.
It's hard for me to choose between this and G. TM2 has a more varied choice of cars, tracks and music but TMG has easier driving physics and a bigger story mode
I love this one so much, it's on permanent rotation in my PSP (the eboot is literally 25MB). The graphics in this game are so charming, My fave is the EG. This game also has some silly missions like driving a sanitation truck and an APC iirc.
This game has some weird car lineup from dolly to sheep. One of better games in psx. Also, there is PS one Classics version of this game for ps3/psp at Japanese store.
This game looks amazing. Hides draw distance well, good graphics, and you can even see inside the car. The drivers look detailed too.
Ps1 has so many games that you can't imagine

@@adamlach6572 destruction derby RAW too
This gamehas some good attention to detail. The cars look tastefully tuned, they have backfire, even the engine sounds are convincing.
11:33 Takumi would be proud
The physic looks smooth, and has more car than MaxG. I'd hear you can earn R390 in this game

vehicle physics seems to be very good for an ps1 arcade game. Nice feeling and good control.

@Houki Chan おじいちゃん
School Mode (Driving School) in this game is my favorite part of Touge MAX 2 because you will be guided & mentored by Tsuchiya Keiichi himself.
The thing I love from old racing games are the handlings.

I'm with you, I love realistic Sims, but these kinds should be given another chance because it's still fun.
Sometimes some new developers use this retro aspect.

Great! You're always showing very good drift.
damn it has an animated driver, this game is awesome
wasnt the best fidelity-wise but the characterful track design sells this game so well

dig deeper, son. There are local games that need attention.
This is enhance emulation it doesn’t look like this in actual ps1 console

One of my 1st ps games.
Together with Colin Mcrae Rally and Namco Museum Encore.
But Touge Max 2 is my personal favorite among them way back 1999.

This game feels amazes me. Throwback remains rematch.

TM2 has more realistic physics in my opinion and TMG is more arcady and fast paced I like both though
Talk about pushing the hardware to its limit! Another racing game into the wishlist~
Amazing video! Nice job. Big like and sub! 😁👍
There's few crazy unlockable car
From septic truck, to robot on wheels
Amazing JDM Racing games

At 0:40 what is "trans change"? On the o button I mean
You can switch to Auto or Manual while on racing by pressing O button(from my setting).
This game has some weird car lineup from dolly to sheep.

fantastic
5:53 AE86 VS Cappucino
Cars that not actual licensed = More varieties on the car choice so you may ended up unlocking a Formula Car
Nice gameplay, but it looks like Beetle has a bit of a clipping problem. :)
Hope the English translation patches for three PSX _Touge Max_ games were made.
I played Touge Max G with english language on the menus.
maybe kinda out of topic but do you have the link of gran turismo 4 for pc with all cars unlocked

Won’t lie you should have a discord
I feel this game have better handling than Touge Max G. Don't know if it's just me.
Oh, and the cheat code to unlock all cars on the go is really helpful.
I find the steering much heavier on this one, and it's harder to make the cars drift, whereas in G every car drifts very easily, even the FF cars
@@St_Rizla you can tune the steering and grip for front and rear tires.
is this running at 60 frames? looks really smooth
Nope, it's only run on 30fps.
whats the difference between this game and peak performance?
