Prince had a lot more diversity and moves...MJ kinda always had the same signature moves and sound. There's no denying the unique style and talent of the iconic Michael Jackson...however, Prince was just on a whole different level. I don't think the world was ready to fully appreciate and process Prince's creativity -which was often overshadowed by his stigmatized persona.
I think MJ was more inspired by contemporary dancers and kinda set the tone for dance today where it's more focused on locking movements and foot work but Prince had a more nuanced and unique style.

Who's the better entertainer: Mike Jagger or David Bowie? Who's the better singer: Freddie Mercury or Steve Perry? Who is the better group: The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. MJ and Prince can co-exist as being great artists (like those other artists co-exist) - no need to compare every single element of their craft. They found out between the two of them that they both were great (Reference: Prince: The Beautiful Ones, Oct 2019). Sidenote: Went to Paisley Park and was blown away. Hope to catch the MJ show in Vegas. Love them both.

Well if you've seen the shoe collection at Paisley Park, He did have his heels reinforced between the heel & the sole. there is a tiny bracket. I mean you can't break a heel when you're doing a jump split! but that's about it.

What it boils down IN MY OPINION to is...
Prince had a more wide musical knowledge, touching almost every other musical genre in his music, such as Rock,RnB, Soul, Jazz ETC. He even pioneered the Minneapolis Sound. He mastered 27 instruments before even leaving his teens. He produced and wrote most of his material, and had an ENORMOUS amount of material released, with 39 albums released during his career. Not to mention the songs he wrote for other artists [The glamorous life, manic Monday, nothing compares 2 u]
Michael Jackson was a better entertainer. He was groundbreaking as a showman, displaying an undeniable charisma at the age of 6. Influenced by the dance moves of James Brown, MJ could glide across the stage with ease. He had immensely groundbreaking music videos, transforming them into their own art form with coherent narratives that stood out aside from the songs. He could also drop NO. 1s in his sleep, making it look easy. And he has arguably the most recognizable voice ever.
Again, what it boils down to is both artists were extremely groundbreaking, and music would not be the same if these two didn't make their music and perform. Both are differently good in their own unique way!

Trust me that would be boring. As there are not many footages of mj playing an instrument. The only once I know are mj playing piano for his son which is not compareable to playing an instrument on stage. And michael getting a guitar. And I don't know if some one who just listens to his new instrument should be compared to someone playing it on stage.
For beatboxing I don't know how we should compare them. I know just one video of prince beatboxing. And it's more of a simple drumrythm. But it's an rule in music that the more instruments there are the more each instrument has to step back. So comparing someone who uses beatboxing to underline his guitar to someone using his mouth to compose complete songs just doesn't feel fair.
But what we can compare is. The voice

Mone Media Splits don’t count as dancing. Just because he looked like MJ in the 80s don’t mean you need to put him on the same level as him. No dancers would call Prince a dance icon. I danced since I was 3 I can tell you now Prince is no dancer. He lacks rhythm, tries too hard and is not feeling it.

As a diehard Prince 'fam' since '82, I have to give this one to MJ. These are two genius entertainers who broke down racial barriers in the industry, and took their foot off the pedal and gunned it, excelling without apology far beyond what anyone could have reasonably expected. While Prince was spending nearly every waking moment in music studios learning and honing his craft as a multi-instrumentalist, composing music and writing lyrics for literally thousands of songs, Mike was investing his time collaborating with greats on record-breaking albums and in dance studios honing his craft, and becoming a modern-day Fred Astaire. The two invested countless hours in each of their respective areas of talent. Prince can't compare to MJ as a dancer in that sense. However, he was athletic so he was able to give what moves he had tons of energy, attitude, and flavor. And it cannot be ignored that Prince had THE best splits of anyone in music (even better than James Brown, who I'm sure he was inspired to learn to do the splits from) and that he did them (and all his moves) in high-heeled boots. Astounding.

Michels moves are perfect execution, but you get a sense that if you practice enough you can somewhat do some of his moves. Prince moves look damn near impossible, whereby even if you practice every single day of your life, you can't come close to doing, at least most people.
And most people don't know Prince can dance with the use of Heels and it is impossible for an artist or Person to dance using heels

Just for the record, Micheal Jackson studied and incorporated this STATURE-esqe moves from a 1970's jazz free-style dancer. I forget this name, but he was tall, white, thin. Also, Jackson took the MoonWalk from, as I understand, some street-dancers in the early beginnings of rap music. In the words of Pablo Picasso: "Good artists borrow; Great artists steal." When it comes to dancing michael jackson wins 10000% prince was extremely limited in dance moves, which were unoriginal and overall very overused. Many many many many people can dance like prince can. Mj on the other hand was super unique, versatile and highly skilled. He practically did all forms of dance from popping to locking, miming, waving, air walk, gliding, shoulder shuffle, foot shuffles, tap dance, body role, and many moves that can't be characterized because they were so unique. Mj did thing that still to this day people can't replicate. He didn't even walk normal on stage even his WALK was special. It's not EVEN a compression Michael Jackson wins by far

MJ first had a Curl in 79, while Prince still had that long straight hair. MJ curls began to grow a bit by 81 Prince had short straight hair in 80, then a perm in 81, 82 MJs curls grew fuller. 83 MJ curls is what inspired Prince hair from 1999 Tour in March 28 83 - Purple Rain Tour 85. Starting with March 28 83 Prince hair started to look like MJ in 83 after MJs Billie Jean video was premiered on MTV. MJs Jheri Curl in Billie Jean must have inspired Prince on March 28th 1983. Then continued with MJs Beat It which inspired Prince hair in April 10 1983 for the 1999 Tour which looks a lot like MJs hair in Beat It. Then the Solid Gold performance looks like both videos.
