I've been to HK last month. It was such a great experience to feel atmosphere of the busy city hk. I think it is a nice place to live in. I really miss there~ from seoul, korea
One of the things I like about your videos is the quantity of good photographs you take while talking. It always impressed me how easy you make photography. Please keep it up!
Thank you Lok. We are going to have two long layovers in Hong Kong in April 2019 and I plan to do some street photography too at all the places you go to, and Kai went to.
I think i take 90% of my pictures in CWB. The little wet market is so cool because all the fashionable people walkt through there too. - Sweet contrast - in north point market everyone is just so casual. -nice video as always
I was going to say that I know Causeway Bay like the back of my hand but I haven't visited that spot under the bridge with the old ladies bringing bad luck to other people. LOL! I will definitely check that place out on my next trip to Hong Kong!
August it will be extremely hot and humid! Remember to bring water (better with reusable bottle, ask for fill up at any Starbucks all around HK) and take time to cool down in shopping malls!
Lok Cheung Thanks for the tip! I’ll do just that! Actually, tips like this might make a good companion video to these travel series! (Makes a note to self for things like this for Tokyo!)
I go there in November any ideas on second hand Nikon lens prices ie Tokina 400mm. Just loving your vlogs Lok thanks. Any chance of some tips on whereto take great shots.
So interestingly, only the old district you went past near the end of the video is actually Causeway Bay. With the bay now being filled in, only Tung Lo Wan road remains reminding you the shape of the bay. The area around Sogo is called East Point, and the area near Time Square is called Bowrington.
lok i need your help. What do you recomend for street, travel, lifestyle, portait photography, an X100F or a XT3 with a 23mm f2 WR? please answer meeee
My old office was in Causeway Bay, the WeWork next to the DJI flagship store just 2 minutes from the "SOGO crossing". Great area, but I haven't done any photography there haha, maybe I should take my camera one time. :p
No I haven’t. Sounds like you love it then! I actually not too picky on beans. I keep getting beans from Starbucks cause it’s everywhere and still fresher than getting from supermarket!
Lok Cheung agreed. I love coffee, although Starbucks are not the best, you can count on them. When I come visit HK i totally owe you some coffeeeeeeeeee. Add oil, ok good !
Hey Lok! Love the video, but I have a question for you, do you think x100(the original) is still good secondary camera for street? I have a7r2 and it's cool and all but for money I would spent on 35mm Sony lens I can have some older x100 and since I never owned one I'm curious which one should I look into. Thanks! B.
I’d say at least get the X100S. For today’s standard the original X100 AF speed is terrible, almost take a full second to focus, unless you’re used to that kind of speed like me who had been using the E-P1 for a very long time!
I definitely would pick X100F again, I just love the viewfinder. Leica CL is a lovely camera though, great build, good looking, perform well, and the menu system is, to me, the BEST! It simply make sense when you press the "menu" button, it show up your "favourites" rather than the first page of menu!
Lok Cheung because X100F has hybrid VF? Do you use the OVF? A7 III is not this kind of street/travel camera right? How about Leica M10/LUMIX GX9, didn’t hear you talk about them much! Ricoh GR III coming later this year?
6:56 Why do you think some people stare so specifically at someone with a camera?... Especially since there are many people with cameras there, and also that person is older (they usually don't care).
Thanks for sharing! You're very gifted. I love to travel as well:)I in recent weeks revealed my first ever movie - My travel diary in Queenstown. Eep!Would definitely really like your feed-back on my video/editing so that I can develop like you!

I really have to visit Hong Kong some day. You make it look so amazing and interesting place, lots and lots of places to explore.
Great work Lok, love that you had some of your fans show you some love. You're awesome!
I think we can give Lok the title of first vlogtographer of RUclips.
It would be "wlogtographer", remember :-) Lok makes lovely wideos
Wow!! Great Video!

I love this series! You won't find such valuable information in a guidebook.
Thanks for the effort!
One of the things I like about your videos is the quantity of good photographs you take while talking. It always impressed me how easy you make photography. Please keep it up!
Ha ha. I love it when you snap a shot of aan taking a photo and you look back at the camera. Ha ha !
Need to make sure I’m actually in the video, that the camera is pointing at correct angle!
I love HK....one of my favourites. Nice one Lok!
This was perfectly timed Im headed to Hong Kong end of July so I will study up on Lok's travel photography vids!

I love this series. Keep them coming, Mr. Lok :D
Ah man, makes me miss HK so much, was working there for 2months in 2016 living in Causeway Bay just across the road from Victoria Park. Great area!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyy new Lok's wideooo!!!
Im definitely going to buy a Fuji X100 when I go to Tokyo next week, maybe not the newest version but I really like the Images from this camera.
So cool to see you interact with your fans! Nice vlog.
Thank you Lok. We are going to have two long layovers in Hong Kong in April 2019 and I plan to do some street photography too at all the places you go to, and Kai went to.
I love your tours of HK, Lok, it's such a cool place and it's a great angel to do tours aimed towards photographers :)
I think i take 90% of my pictures in CWB. The little wet market is so cool because all the fashionable people walkt through there too. - Sweet contrast - in north point market everyone is just so casual. -nice video as always
I really like your videos, please do more tour around HK!
Hopefully one day I can visit the places you feature Lok. Looking forward to more of your videos.
I was going to say that I know Causeway Bay like the back of my hand but I haven't visited that spot under the bridge with the old ladies bringing bad luck to other people. LOL! I will definitely check that place out on my next trip to Hong Kong!
Great video and photos Lok! You make me nervous the way you one hand your X100F around without a wrist strap. 🙂
Hope you have a playlist with all travel guides so I can use them when going to HK! So nice, thank you!
Yes there's a playlist: ruclips.net/p/PL_Y2i5_odE_k2jj-sFkz_tYAzdCuqFN48
Great! I was going to ask the same thing! Heading to Hong Kong for 3 days in August! I'll check them out for a guide!

Great video Lok!
These are great, do a video on every district in HK!
Enjoying the laid back vlogging. Can I ask what your vlogging set up is? Are you using a wide angle lens?
I go there in November any ideas on second hand Nikon lens prices ie Tokina 400mm. Just loving your vlogs Lok thanks. Any chance of some tips on whereto take great shots.
Great work.
Was hoping to see Chan Ho Nam!
Hope to see you walking around in HK next week ;-)

Hi Mr Cheung
想問下你係咩時候坐同埋邊條線嘅丁丁 點解可以咁少人???
lok i need your help. What do you recomend for street, travel, lifestyle, portait photography, an X100F or a XT3 with a 23mm f2 WR? please answer meeee
I’m in HK right now!!!
LOVE YEWWWWW BRO
Just back from HK trip last night, went to Mong kok for camera shopping 😁
Did not meet Lok sad lol
My own... my love... my HONGKONG ;-)
nice Video
im going there next month, i hope i can run into you in the street to say hi or something :)
My old office was in Causeway Bay, the WeWork next to the DJI flagship store just 2 minutes from the "SOGO crossing". Great area, but I haven't done any photography there haha, maybe I should take my camera one time. :p
Or maybe the Ferrari guy owns the noodle shop😜😂
Well done!
I don’t think I can shoot steadily with 1/50 one handed 😂. I guess Lok you’re famous for having steady hands; unlike my mega coffee shakes.
Coffee is so worth it though
Lok Cheung always! Can’t function without it. Have you tried urban coffee roasters ?
No I haven’t. Sounds like you love it then! I actually not too picky on beans. I keep getting beans from Starbucks cause it’s everywhere and still fresher than getting from supermarket!
Lok Cheung agreed. I love coffee, although Starbucks are not the best, you can count on them. When I come visit HK i totally owe you some coffeeeeeeeeee. Add oil, ok good !
Gday! I'm a half Filipino travel vlogger looking for amazing stories to tell anywhere in the world! Have you got any recommendations!?
Next stop will be Tsuen Wan or Kwuntong somewhere like urban and industrial mixed district?
would be great to see a map at some point, show where in HK you are, great video
I’ve put links to some of the places in the description box, hope that help!
Hey Lok! Love the video, but I have a question for you, do you think x100(the original) is still good secondary camera for street? Lok Cheung I will consider x100s then :-) Thank you very much!
Nice Lok! Just out of curiosity. With your photos. Do you use the fuji jpeg or the raw? And which film simulation / settings? :)
All raw, I like making my adjustment in post
But the Fuji raw still a very good base for post adjustment. Most of the time I simply adjust level a little bit that’s it!
Lens hood: doesn’t it block the sunlight from causing a glare in your photos? The lens hood helps retain the contrast in your pictures? Am I wrong?
He was talking about folks who walk around with it on backwards. Like when you have it in your camera bag.
I live in hk already 9 years and i come from Indonesia
I wonder how that same walk would look today with all the turmoil?
Will you get Leica CL Or x100F for travel?
I definitely would pick X100F again, I just love the viewfinder. Leica CL is a lovely camera though, great build, good looking, perform well, and the menu system is, to me, the BEST! It simply make sense when you press the "menu" button, it show up your "favourites" rather than the first page of menu!

Yes I love using OVF. I’ve tested the GX800 for both photos and video shooting here: ruclips.net/video/vO-6FJmEu64/видео.html
Is that wet market the same place where Zack Arias tried to ask to take a photo of a furious butcher in DRTV?
Nah Zack Arias was in Mong Kok, Kowloon
cool! would be awesome to bump into you hahaha
I miss China❤️🙌🏾
Hong Kong is not China
I stayed in a Guest House near Times Square... I got to the room and the bed was round. 😂😂😂😂
it's june in hk. how are you not sweating in your shirt?
Haha I shot this on May
6:56 Why do you think some people stare so specifically at someone with a camera?... Especially since there are many people with cameras there, and also that person is older (they usually don't care).
What type of ice cream was that?
That’s black sesame seeds, I love it!
8:21 I bet Kai went there every lunch break...
Thanks for sharing! You're very gifted. I love to travel as well:)I in recent weeks revealed my first ever movie - My travel diary in Queenstown. Eep!Would definitely really like your feed-back on my video/editing so that I can develop like you!
Tesla at 9:56!
what was the ice cream GREY?
That’s black sesame seeds, I love it!
7:43 - I'm not addicted... What are you talking about?
Villain hitting old lady lol
