Ghana and Ivory Coast produce more cocoa than any country in the world but the sad story is that both countries make less than one percent of the entire chain of the cocoa industry. The farmers of this cocoa farm is poor as hell is not even a joke. Hershey, Nesttle has more money than cocoa industry in Ghana and Ivory Coast combine. All cocoa producing countries in west Africa were warned by their colonial masters not to industrialize to compete with them. We will make the finish product and the producer will send us the raw materials. Untill this treaty is reverse I don't see how Ghana and Ivory Coast can meet unemployment challenges of his youthful population without industrialization.
I get what you are saying Alex. There is so much injustice going on in every corner of the world., it’s sad. Africa has to wake up! I’m learning so much on this platform. Thank you for informing us. I appreciate. God richly bless you. 💛✨
🇬🇭is so hot as well as beautiful too. I have been to 🇬🇭four times, my first was forty one years ago. I love going to Aburi, there’s a lot happening in Aburi such as parks, forests, hills etc.
The food looked so good! It's also dark by 6pm here in Florida USA 🇺🇸 😀 also Ms Monique. Very enjoyable vlog 😊. It's very lush and beautiful up there in The Aburi Mountains ⛰ 😀 😍. I hear that Ms Rita Marley Bob Marley's widow also lives in Aburi Mountains.
Aww Thank you Mary. I do appreciate. Oh yes, it’s the winter/Fall time in Europe and America. Here it’s all year round. Yes, we did pass in front of Rita Marley’s home and foundation in Aburi. All that area around Aburi is beautiful. Stay blessed. 👑✨😍💛

YOU ARE DOING VERY WELL.Nice you showed MADE IN GHANA Chocolate and Cocoa drink.Lots of people don't know Ghana makes its own Chocolate since the 1970's.The problem is the BIG supermarkets in Ghana like Shoprite and Melcom are not selling it but prefer to sell FOREIGN Chocolates.
Yes, it’s a big shame that we don’t promote our own quality products and we always look to the West, for much more expensive, but inferior quality imitations. 🤷🏾♀️🤔
Sounds and looks like a good road trip and you enjoyed it. Was this an organized trip from your place to Koforidua through Aburi? I was wondering where you were really driving to when the driver started talking about the botanical gardens and then you asked what town you were driving through. You were out of Aburi by then going through towns such as Obosomase and Mamfi before descending the Akuapem Mountains as that mountain range is called. This video took me from where we are now at our home to my hometown region Akuapem through family villages to Koforidua where my family owns a large cocoa farm. I wish I could have joined your group for this trip as we are currently expats living in your area too. We however, grew up in Ghana and have family here. We would like to meet your family if you don’t mind. We are from the U.S. Thank you for taking your time to share your journeys with us.
Aww I tell you, I’m learning so much on this platform. Wow!! Your family has a large cocoa farm there? This is very exciting! I also wish we had known beforehand especially as the tour didn’t happen. But it was good fun even though we didn’t do the Cocoa Institute tour. Oh yes, you are right, the trip was organised that way. You can email me at moniquetchim@gmail.com
You doing a wonderful job and you are a free spirit person I think Africans especially in the diaspora adore you
