In fact, Underground 2 (at least in the PC version) lets you turn the rubberbanding off entirely. Suddenly you go from winning races by a handful of seconds to winning them by half a minute.
I will say, hard mode drift events in Underground 2 can be nightmarish depending on what car you have, the small hatchbacks are way easier to drift than some others. And fuck all the drag events on hard, I swear at least one AI driver hits perfect shifts every time.

It's the soundtrack to Savo's race, and this part of the song kicks in when you're at the last part of the race, and usually a lot of cars come up to block your path. So, yes, it is perfect footage. Especially since the cars in MC II do exactly that, they're programmed to spawn at your arrival.

NFSU2 is one of the easiest NFS games IMO. Meanwhile Jarrus in "Kurt's Killer Ride" and Kaz in the lap knockout race (forgot it's name in the original untranslated version) also in Chinatown right before the Enduro Street Circuit in NFSU1, GT King in "Who's Your Daddy?" and D-Mac in 350Z-only race in NFSUR are the four kings of rubberbanding.
