You're not wrong. It's a very exciting and fast paced industry. Print quality has always been good with resin printers, but now it's becoming microscopically good 😁
Hey Vogman you probably don’t remember me but I’m the guy who asked if the Mars 4 ultra was a good printer for someone who doesn’t know anything about printing. I got the printer and I LOVE IT, I only had 2 failed prints (base plates) and the quality is awesome. It has made resin 3D printing fun. I picked up the hobby real quick and I’m getting great prints without fail.
Exelente trabajo, te aconsejo calentar la barra de grafito antes para evitar accidentes y usa lima media caña suiza para limar el interior del anillo y quede más parejo.
I forgive you for your absence, though I have shed bitter tears of disappointment behind the scenes. Still it's great to have you back. I hope all is well with you and yours.
Is there an acid that will eat into the casting residue on the ring? Like hydrochloride that they use on brickwork? Or is it just easier to mechanically remove it? Assume the grinders and buffing wheels may remove more than you want?
Thanks as always for the awesome video. Also cool ring. Side note: the green in that resin makes it look like some sort of green apple kids drink or something....must not taste the resin....
From 2k to 14k in just 4 years is just amazing, its unbelievable how prices are dropping now compared to 4 years ago🙂

This is great to hear! I'm so pleased you're enjoying the hobby 😁😁😁
Great video. Really enjoyed watching that creative process.
Fantastic! You nailed the trinity: design, print, and cast! Thank you for sharing.
That's very kind. Thanks 😁

Thanks for your kind words and suggestions.
Nice design. #LLVM
Many thanks Mark... and for anyone reading this, Mark has done an amazing job printing this ring with FDM!!!
I've not watched my Casting Caped Crusader for while. Sorry. I love the ring and the meditative use of Zbrush. I might have to get a a Phrozen Revo...
I forgive you for your absence, though I have shed bitter tears of disappointment behind the scenes. Still it's great to have you back. I hope all is well with you and yours.
@@vogman Thanks, you sarcastic git. Seriously, the content you are making is still great.
😁😁😁
Awesome work, do you use anti aliasing when printing with castable resin?
Yes, I have AA turned up to full 😁
my man said: this resin is a bit expensive😵💫😵
Yup... that's market leaders for you. But on the bright side, 10% discount is quite a chunk of change 😁
brilliant!! can I ask which rotary tool you use? thanks!
I'm using a Foredom, but a Dremmel will work well and is more affordable 😁
@@vogman thanks

I believe ferric nitrate is sometimes used to etch a surface and create a matt finish. I don't know if that's what you're looking for...?
@@vogman more to dissolve the plaster... rather an mechanically remove it from the casting.
Ahhh. No, sorry. Ultrasonics work great. Otherwise let it cool and break it apart - but I wouldn't recommend this method.
what is that program you are tinkering with in the beginning? I'd like to check that out....
I created the ring using ZBrush, but obviously that wasn't real footage at the beginning there. If only it was that easy 😁
great video as always! any suggestions for finding a local investment caster that one could take their castable resin prints to have made in metal?
Where are you based buddy?
@@vogman between orlando and tampa, florida, usa
I'm sorry, I don't know of any specifically, but I've heard good things about silvercloudcasting.com/
I noticed that you used a ultrasonic cleaner :) is there any one you can recommend, Mr. V? :)
Anything really, but... vegoilguy.co.uk/equipment.php
